Chapter 1 - chapter 1 :

Pokémon: The Wind Saga – Part 1

"Ting… Ting… Ting…"

The high school bell rang, and school was dismissed. A crowd of students gathered near the gate, all heading toward their homes.

"Bye, risa!"

"Bye-bye, guys!"

A girl named risa waved goodbye to her friends and started walking ahead. Suddenly, her eyes fell on a nearby ground where several athletic girls were practicing running.

Seeing them reminded risa of her brother, who had been admitted to the medical center due to a fractured leg.

As soon as the thought crossed her mind, she headed toward the medical center.

---

Medical Center

Inside a room at the medical center, a boy was sitting on his bed, booking something on his tablet.

Ding!

The door opened, and risa walked in. She had brought some clothes from home for her brother.

"Hello, Rick," risa asked as she came closer, "how is your leg now?"

Rick replied with a confident smile, "Oh, it's you, Liza! I'm completely fine now."

Looking at her brother, risa said, "Here, I brought you some new clothes. Wear them later." She placed the clothes inside a nearby drawer.

Then, with a bit of concern, he asked, "sister, tell me honestly—how is your leg really? Can you run now?"

Risa didn't answer directly and avoided the question, saying, "You should just take care of yourself…"

"Alright, alright," Rick said as he reopened his tablet and spoke excitedly, "By the way, sis, do you know about the Wind Festival of Fula City?"

"Yes," risa nodded. "I've heard about it. But why are you asking?"

Rick showed her a picture on his tablet and requested, "Please, sis, catch a Pokémon for me from there."

---

That evening, risa returned home.

"I'm home!" she shouted loudly. She collapsed onto her bed. In her hand was a Poké Ball. Looking at it, she remembered something from a while ago.

---

Flashback

"Absolutely not!" Risa had said while stepping back. "I can't catch a Pokémon. And why should I do it?"

Rick used his condition as an excuse and said, "You know I'm not fully recovered yet. What if I go outside and fall somewhere?" He pretended to be helpless.

Hearing this, risa helplessly agreed, "Fine, I'll catch one for you."

Rick immediately became happy and said, "I'm not asking you to do this for free." He took out a box and handed it to her. "This is a gift from me to you."

Risa opened the box. Inside was a stylish pair of sunglasses. Her eyes sparkled as she said, "I like this gift!"

---

(Present – Next Morning)

[Fula City – Mayor's House]

Sunlight fell on a young girl named Margo. She woke up to the sound of fireworks from the festival.

She walked to the window, opened it, and looked out over the city from the balcony.

Below, her father was heading toward his car with his secretary. He looked up.

"Hello, Margo," he waved. "Are you going to the Wind Festival? Have fun!"

"Bye-bye, Dad," Margo said as she watched his car leave.

---

[Roads of Fula City]

On the roads of Fula City, a large bus-like vehicle powered by wind energy was moving swiftly forward. Sitting inside was our hero—Ash Ketchum.

Pikachu and I were enjoying the cool breeze and the view outside the window.

After a while, we saw many interesting things on the road—various sweets and wind-powered toys.

You might be wondering why I'm referring to Ash as "I." That's because, in reality, I have been reincarnated as Ash.

---

Flashback – A Few Days Earlier

In my previous life, I was sitting at home watching a Pokémon show. Suddenly, a powerful bolt of lightning tore through the roof and struck me directly, killing me.

When I opened my eyes, I had been reincarnated as Ash. That's when I learned that Ash was about to set out on a journey to the Johto region. But surprisingly, Ash was starting his journey from a city called Fula City.

That's when I realized this was a branch timeline of the Pokémon universe, where Ash travels alone.

Now that I have become Ash, I won't rely only on Pikachu. Instead, I will take the strongest Pokémon with me. I don't think I can be as lucky as the original Ash all the time.

During his journey, Ash faced countless dangers and narrowly escaped death many times purely due to luck. I can't take that kind of risk.

---

From downstairs, my mom's voice called out,

"Ash! Pikachu! Come downstairs to eat together!"

"Yes, Mom, we're coming," I replied.

"Pika, pi, chu!"

Pikachu and I went downstairs to eat. Near the dining table, my mom and Mr. Mime were standing. We started eating.

"Ash, Pikachu, does the food taste good?" Mom asked.

"Yes, Mom, it's really good," I said.

"Pika, chu!" Pikachu agreed.

Half an hour later, after all preparations were done, we said goodbye to Mom and Mr. Mime and headed toward Professor Oak's lab.

[Pokémon Adventures and Sign-in System Activated]

Suddenly, a ding echoed in my mind, and a message appeared, making me stop.

"Pika? Chu?" Pikachu looked at me questioningly as I suddenly stopped.

"It's nothing, Pikachu," I replied with a smile, and we continued toward Professor Oak's lab.

Inside, I was extremely happy. Wow, I didn't expect to get a system.

I eagerly asked in my mind, System, what is your function?

---

[Ding! The system has three main functions:]

• View detailed stats of all Pokémon

• Receive a gift upon reaching each town

• Obtain a sign-in reward at every new place

"System, is there a starter package that every system gives to its host?" I asked.

[Ding! No. However, as compensation, all the towns and places Ash visited during his Kanto and Orange Islands journey have been converted into Purchase Points.]

You now have 23,000 Purchase Points.

"What are these Purchase Points used for?"

[Host, you can use these points to buy items from the system store. Would you like to view the store now?]

"No," I replied. "Professor Oak's lab is nearby. I'll check it later."

---

Soon, we arrived at Professor Oak's lab.

Seeing the house with a huge windmill in front of me, I rang the doorbell. Professor Oak came out and opened the door.

"Good morning, Ash," Professor Oak said. "Are you here to see your Pokémon?"

"Yes," I nodded. "Professor, I want to take some Pokémon with me."

"Alright, come in."

Professor Oak and I walked toward the backyard of the lab.

Before me were several Pokémon—Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charizard, Pidgeot, Kingler, and Muk from the Kanto region. As for Butterfree,

Ash had already released it you know why. And Primeape—this universe's Ash never caught it.

As for Muk, this Ash never caught it either. Honestly, even if I were him, I wouldn't catch Muk. The main-universe Ash only caught it out of necessity.

From the Orange Islands, the Pokémon were Lapras, Snorlax, Crystal Onix, and Kabuto.

Yes, surprisingly, this Ash had caught Crystal Onix and Kabuto. The main-universe Ash never did, but this Ash added them to his team.

"Ash, are you planning to take any Pokémon with you?" Professor Oak asked.

I snapped out of my thoughts and replied, "Yes, Professor. I want to take Charizard and Crystal Onix."

Professor Oak hesitated. "Charizard is fine, but Crystal Onix is a bit difficult. I've only done limited research on it so far."

"No, Professor. I want that one too," I insisted. "You know I have Charizard for flying, but for sea travel, I need a Pokémon that can move well over water."

Professor Oak spoke seriously, "Alright, I agree—but on one condition. Once you catch six Pokémon in the Johto region, you must send Crystal Onix back to me for research. If you agree, I'll give it to you."

"I agree," I said happily, and the deal was sealed.

After saying goodbye to Professor Oak, I set out on foot toward the Johto region.
