Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 — The First S-Class Hero: Tornado of Terror

After completing two ten-pulls and the designated summoning of Child Emperor, the remaining energy points stood at 425.

After a brief consideration, Aiden Cross abandoned the idea of continuing to summon new heroes for now.

With the ten-pull bonus active, he had barely scraped out a single C-Class hero after twenty draws. If he switched to single pulls, the odds were high that he would only dig himself deeper into D-Class hell.

"…Should I try Special Summoning?"

The thought surfaced unbidden.

Special Summoning required calling forth a Special Boss as the price, in exchange for a randomly selected hero—B-Class at minimum.

If the Boss was powerful, it could be something on the level of the Starforging Dragon King Sol, the Cosmic Overlord Boros, or the Fatebearer Karn.

If it was weak, it might be a biological monstrosity or an oversized mutant barely scraping Tiger-level.

The upside was clear: the hero obtained was guaranteed to start at B-Class or higher, with a real chance of producing a Vice-Chairman–tier existence.

He had already been unlucky twice.

Surely this time would be different.

"…Special Summon."

[Ding — Congratulations! You have successfully summoned S-Class Hero: Tornado of Terror]

[Ding — Congratulations! You have successfully summoned Dragon-Level Disaster: Noxian Grand General Swain, accompanied by the Noxian Legion]

All things considered, this result was acceptable.

The Tornado of Terror possessed overwhelming psychic power—enough to drag meteorites down from orbit with ease.

If she chose to do so repeatedly, the destruction of human civilization would be trivial.

Calling her an S-Class hero on the threshold of Ultra-Dragon-level power was entirely justified, even if she sat on the lower end of the S-Class spectrum.

As for the summoned Boss…

An entire Noxian Legion.

Letting a force of war-driven conquerors roam freely would plunge the world into chaos without question.

"…One more."

Encouraged by success, Aiden Cross activated Special Summoning again.

[Ding — Congratulations! You have successfully summoned B-Class Hero: Flame Prodigy Annie]

[Ding — Congratulations! You have successfully summoned a potential Ultra-Dragon-Level Disaster: Hero Hunter Garou (Early Demon Tier)]

"…That's really not something worth celebrating."

Aiden Cross rubbed his temples.

As expected, Special Summoning was not something to abuse. With his luck, he was far more likely to flood the world with Boss-tier threats than achieve a clean win.

Garou hailed from a world obsessed with hero worship and hero slaughter alike—a martial artist driven by hatred, obsession, and terrifying adaptive growth. Given enough battles, he could rival even cosmic overlords.

If he encountered high-profile heroes like Iron Man or Captain America, he would not hesitate to hunt them.

Once the Hero League fully stepped into the public eye, it too would inevitably become one of his targets.

Crack—

The sound of shattering glass echoed through the chamber.

Space itself twisted and unfolded as two girls, two boys, and nineteen D-Class heroes appeared before Aiden Cross.

S-Class First Seat: Tornado of Terror

D-Class Second Seat: Annie (true B-Class combat potential)

D-Class Third Seat: Child Emperor (A-Class when deploying advanced mechanized armor)

D-Class Fourth Seat: Raven Blackwell (C-Class)

...

Aside from the Tornado of Terror, who possessed the raw power to directly eliminate Dragon-Level disasters and was immediately elevated to S-Class First Seat, everyone else—regardless of hidden strength—was placed in D-Class.

Only through combat records and accumulated energy points could they advance.

"Hmph. Since you insisted so earnestly, I'll lend a hand—when I feel like it."

The green-haired girl in a black, high-slit dress crossed her arms, her tone sharp and proud, yet not entirely dismissive.

Her psychic pressure surged outward, and in that instant, Aiden Cross felt his own mental power rise by an entire tier, pushing him beyond conventional S-Class limits. Whether he had brushed the threshold of Vice-Chairman territory remained uncertain.

"A new world… I'll need time to study its technological framework."

With a lollipop between his fingers, Child Emperor spoke calmly.

Even without his equipment, his physical conditioning alone was enough to crush Tiger-Level threats.

In terms of pure intellect and engineering potential, he might even surpass Tony Stark—after all, Stark had not built a walking war machine at the age of ten.

"In this world… can I gain the power to kill that man?"

The dark-haired boy's voice was low and cold.

Raven Blackwell stood with his hands in his pockets, eyes sharpened by an awakened visual perception that traced every fluctuation of movement and intent.

His clothing was practical and battle-worn, marked by the insignia of a fallen clan and a past he had severed himself from.

"Hello, Chairman. My name is Annie. I'm from the continent of Valoran."

The final girl smiled innocently.

She wore a red hooded outfit, brown hair framing her youthful face, bright green eyes gleaming with life. A plush bear rested against her back, and a faint but dangerous heat radiated from her body.

Flame Prodigy Annie—sweet in appearance, devastating in reality. A child mage bound innately to fire, capable of erasing life in an instant when provoked.

Aside from these four youthful elites, the remaining nineteen D-Class heroes remained silent.

The pressure in the room was overwhelming. They did not dare to speak.

Only Mash Shieldheart, clad in black armor and holding her shield-type Noble Armament, appeared relatively gentle by comparison.

"Welcome to the Hero League,"

Aiden Cross said calmly.

"This is where your new chapter begins."
