Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: True Power

Days passed, one after another.

Ivan Vanko was arrested by local authorities.

Tony Stark, escorted by bodyguards and his female assistant, left the scene shortly after.

Footage of Renjie wearing the Creator Armor was edited into countless videos and uploaded across the internet, spreading rapidly to websites around the world.

Especially the final exchange—

The conversation between him and Iron Man—

It ignited a global frenzy.

Forums exploded.

Social media burned.

Countless people who believed in "might above all else" openly declared their admiration for Renjie, becoming his most fanatical supporters.

Yet

Many media outlets sensed something far more unsettling beneath the surface.

Unlike Tony Stark, who had always faced relentless pressure from the military, high-ranking officials, and even Congress—

When it came to Renjie,

everyone fell silent.

Not a single voice demanded that he surrender the technology behind the nano armor.

Not one.

Meanwhile, the ever-sycophantic Hammer spent hundreds of millions of dollars, launching an overwhelming publicity campaign in Renjie's favor.

Buying off news agencies.

Hiring online trolls.

Steering public opinion toward whatever direction benefited the boss.

Thus

A perfect super-hero was born.

After completing his itinerary, Renjie returned to his residence.

He had planned to resume work as usual—

But Hammer arrived with bad news.

Every source of Vibranium on the market had been placed under strict control.

Sales to Hammer Industries were completely banned.

Even the black-market dealers—those notoriously greedy vultures—had maliciously raised their prices.

From ten thousand dollars—

To thirty thousand.

It was daylight robbery.

Someone was targeting them.

More precisely

Targeting Renjie.

S.H.I.E.L.D.

The military.

Other industrial giants.

Even Stark Industries.

All of them were highly suspicious.

With no materials available, the development of the Battlefield Mechs was forced to a halt.

"Boss… how about waiting for a while?" Hammer suggested carefully.

"Let the heat die down first—then we can resume building the mech army."

"If you don't mind… I could accompany you on a trip around the world. Take a break. Get some fresh air?"

Hammer spoke earnestly.

Becoming the enemy of the world was simply too foolish.

Just the patent fees from medical nano-technology alone had already made them absurdly rich.

Hammer Industries' stock price was soaring—surpassing Stark Industries was only a matter of time.

Money was the one thing they lacked the least.

Why not live it up?

Travel the world.

Leave behind "excellent genes."

Hold fan meetings.

Experience what it felt like to be worshipped by millions.

Hammer's vision was beautiful—

But far too small.

His perspective could not reach the future Renjie was already staring into.

After the Iron Man incident, the next event would be—

Thor.

The first true encounter with a god.

He had to be prepared—perfectly.

Renjie placed a hand on Hammer's shoulder, stopping him from continuing.

"Hammer," he said calmly,

"within the next few years, traditional arms manufacturing will decline."

"Healthcare. The internet. Emerging technologies. Rockets and satellites."

"These are the fields you should be focusing on."

"Because the rise of new energy will replace oil as the world's primary strategic resource—giving major powers room to de-escalate."

"New energy represents limitless possibility."

"Energy weapons.

Alloy armor.

Interstellar warships…"

"Technologies that once existed only in science fiction films will begin to appear—one by one."

"When the nuclear weapons sleeping in their silos lose their deterrent value—"

"The old world order will collapse."

"Humanity will require a new deterrent."

"One more powerful than nuclear weapons."

"One more despair-inducing."

"Whoever holds that power…"

"…will rule the new era."

Renjie's meaning was unmistakable.

Even Hammer understood.

His pupils trembled violently.

First—mass adoption of medical nano-robots.

Next—a colossal mech army.

This boss…

He didn't want to rule a corporation.

He wanted to rule Earth.

"Boss… I understand now," Hammer said hoarsely.

"I'll contact the black-market dealers immediately and negotiate with them."

A sickly smile spread across his face as he pulled out his smart phone.

Fear and fanaticism surged together, forming a twisted exhilaration.

Even if he had to sell everything—

He would secure enough resources for the boss.

One day—

Those greedy rats would pay a terrible price for today's stupidity.

But Renjie merely shook his head with a smile.

"Too small."

"Your thinking is still too small."

"Reasoning with bandits only convinces them that you're easy to bully."

"If they refuse to sell—"

"Then we'll go take it ourselves."

Renjie's lips curled into a cold smile as he turned his gaze toward the night sky beyond the window.

It was time—

To show the world what real power looked like.
