Chapter 12 - 12- October 1(0)

(2 Years Later)

Sasuke is 5 years old now. He joins the academy next year. He has been practising with his dad for those two years. Things were done backwards; he learned all the theoretical knowledge, even the ones that make a shinobi S-rank. He learned every jutsu in the Sarutobi clan library. All of that before he enrolled in the academy.

Raiki focused on practical experience. He started the training, aiming to help Sasuke understand the knowledge, but he quickly found out that it was unnecessary. Sasuke was well ahead of anything he could teach him. So Raiki focused on discipline instead.

He feared that Sasuke would either become complacent thanks to his genius or get drunk on power, also thanks to his genius.

Right now, Sasuke was lying in a grass field inside the Sarutobi clan compound, under a tree, enjoying the shade. It has gotten cold recently, and sunny days like this are becoming less frequent.

'The war has been over for almost a year. Minato became the Hokage right after the war ended. It's September, which means next month Naruto will be born on the tenth. What am I supposed to do? I want to keep my family safe.'

'Mom will be easy to handle, I'll just take her to that clothing store near the hospital for "shopping". Once the attack starts, I'll drag her to the hospital and use their bunker. Grandpa will survive this, not sure about Dad. Grandma is also going to be in danger. Obito will not let her go. Now, all of this assuming that I didn't cause any changes in the timeline.'

'I will try to prepare something, but what? How do I tell my grandma not to go help the wife of the Hokage give birth, and how do I explain that I know Kushina is pregnant, and how do I know that something will happen?

Sasuke took a deep breath 'I have no way to change this, unless my presence alone has caused events to change thanks to the butterfly effect. Still, I'll take my mom close to the hospital on October 10. I have to trust Dad to take care of himself; he's a powerful shinobi. I have to trust in him.'

"Sasuke, let's go back home. We should get started on dinner."

Sasuke lifted his head. It was his mom. She was standing not too far away

"Coming!" he jumped to his feet and ran up to his mom

"What are we eating for dinner today?"

"Not sure yet. I'll see what we have in the fridge and decide."

"Oh! While you prep dinner, can I go visit grandma?"

"Sure. But don't bother her too much, ok? And come home before lunch time."

Sasuke ran off in a different direction, making his way to the largest house in the compound.

*Knock Knock*

The door was opened by one of the servants

"Good day to you, young lord Sasuke. Please come in," She said with a polite bow.

'I could never get used to this young lord thing.'

"Is Grandma home?" Sasuke put the useless thoughts away.

"She is, please follow me," the servant started walking down a hallway that led deeper into the house.

"Sasuke," He heard his grandma's voice from down the hallway

"Grandma! I came to see you."

"It always makes me happy when you visit Sasuke. Come sit with me."

Sasuke followed her to one of the rooms. Tea was on the table; it seems that he came during her tea time.

"Get him something to drink," Biwako said to the servant nearby

"How have you been, Grandma?"

"I've been great, Sasuke. How is your training with your dad? I hear he's going extra hard on you."

"Yeah, dad always says no pain, no gain. I actually came to you to request something."

"Sure, you can ask me for anything," Biwako smiled at her grandchild

"I read on the second floor of the library that to become a medical ninja, you need strong chakra control. Dad told me that my chakra control is great. You're the best medical ninja in the whole village. Can you teach me, please?"

"I wouldn't say I'm the best in the village. But I'm good enough to teach you," Biwako seemed to be happy to hear his request.

"Great! I want to be a great medical shinobi like you, Grandma." This made Biwako smile even more.

After agreeing to teach him, they agreed to meet twice a week for his practice. It would involve lots of reading and memorising, so he had to read at home. But he wasn't worried about that.

'Now that I'm on her schedule, I should be able to do something. Not sure what yet, but I hope something comes up and I can get her away from Naruto's birth. There are lots of medical ninjas in the village; others can take my grandma's place,' Sasuke thought as he made his way home.

"I'm home," Sasuke announced as he entered

"Oh, right on time. I was just about to prep the table. Come help me."

"Coming"

"Go wash your hands first!"

---------------

Days turned into weeks. Sasuke's training with his grandma was consistent. Biwako was amazed at her grandchild's memorisation. No matter how many books he read, or how difficult they were, he always learned them by heart in a very short time.

Theoretically speaking, he knew enough to be a full-fledged medical ninja. But he lacks experience, which he can't get until he graduates from the academy and starts working in the hospital.

At present, he is walking back home after spending some time in the park. It was his day off from practice with his dad and grandma.

'It's October 1st. I have nine more days to do something, but nothing comes to mind. I can't go tell them about the attack. I'm not close to Minato or Kushina, so I can't recommend anti-space seals. What should I do? I think I will try to get my grandma sick right before the 10th. She will be bedridden and won't be able to help. This will force Minato to find a replacement medical shinobi to help with the labour of his child. I know I shouldn't poison my grandma, but thanks to all the medical books I read, I know what poison to use and how much of it I can administer to her, just enough to make her sick but not kill her'

Just as he formed a plan in his head, he even started planning what plants he would go out to pick and brew his own poison. As he was in thought, planning how to harmlessly poison his own grandma, he got to the entrance of the clan, and then there was a loud puff coming from behind him and then-

*RAWWWR*

Malicious chakra flooded the whole village. Sasuke was frozen stiff. His entire body started shaking, and in seconds, he was covered in sweat from the pressure alone.

He, with great difficulty, turned slowly to look at a massive nine-tiled fox. It was in the middle of the village, destroying everything and killing everyone that came in its way.

"What the fuck?!" Sasuke cursed out loud

'I had nine more days, what the actual fuck, why did it happen early?!'

He watched the nine tails charge a tailed beast bomb and launch straight at the Hokages' faces. And like in the show, it stopped midair and then vanished.

Every cell in Sasuke's body screamed at him to run; he had never felt fear like this before. It felt like his entire body was shutting down from fear alone.

That's when the beast was pushed out of the village with a massive Adamantine staff.

'Oh shit, I have to get mom.'

Just as Sasuke turned to leave, there was another roar, and more wild chakra flooded the whole village. He couldn't even move; his feet buckled under his own weight.

He could barely stay awake for a second before he passed out in the middle of the street.

++++++++++

Sasuke opened his eyes slowly. The sun filtered through the white curtains, fluttering slightly with the wind.

'Where am I?' Even just thinking hurt his head. He couldn't even keep his eyes open, let alone sit up.

[Location: The leaf hospital]

'What happened and how long was I out for?'

[You were very close to the Nine Tails when it was summoned. Too much dark chakra infiltrated your body, which caused you to pass out. You were passed out for 14 hours, 19 minutes, and 6 seconds.]

'The nine tails chakra infiltrated my body. What's the damage like?' Being very knowledgeable about chakra and what harm it would cause for dark and malicious chakra to enter the human body, he was somewhat concerned

[The Nine Tails chakra had wrecked most of your chakra coils, and some parts of your skin were charred due to the intensity of the chakra. All damages have been healed. No permanent damage was caused]

'Glad to hear it,' Sasuke managed to think before he fell asleep again. His ears were ringing nonstop. He barely kept himself awake while nano explained the damage.

A few more hours, and Sasuke woke up again.

'My head is still killing me,' Sasuke struggled to sit up. Just then, a hand reached out to him and helped prop him up.

He turned his head to look at who it was; it was his mom, who had helped him sit up. Her lips were moving, but he couldn't hear her voice.

'Nano, why can't I hear anything?'

[The roar of the nine tails was so intense that it caused damage to your eardrums. Even while knocked out, the chakra in its voice was still damaging you. I shut down your sensory intake to prevent further damage after you passed out. One moment while your ears function again.]

"Sasuke, can you hear me?" Finally, his mother's voice came through

"Mom, what happened?" Sasuke's voice was strained

"Oh, thank god, you're ok" She hugged him "Hang on a moment, I'll go get one of the doctors to check on you" She turned around and rushed out of the room.

Sasuke looked at the plain white ceiling above his head. The rhythmic beeping of the medical machines nearby kept him from drifting off to sleep again.

'That was intense, wasn't it, nano?'

[Affirmative! Recommend waiting for a few hours before initiating information transfer.]

'What? What information?'

[Notice: Flying thunder god technique, and Laminin aspects of sentient chakra]

'I know about the first one. I guess I analysed it when Minato used it on the Hokage Mountain. But what is the second one?'

[Notice: Laminins are the primary molecules holding cells together. In the case of the chakra aspect present in sentient beings made up of chakra, such as the Nine Tails. Chakra Laminins are a product of the yin-yang release technique that holds the chakra together and allows it to form consciousness. Further details available during the information transfer.]

'Yeah, hold onto that for now. I need to get my head on straight.'

"Right here, doctor," Raina walked into the room, dragging a doctor behind her.

The doctor was a middle-aged woman who seemed professional. She asked Sasuke a few questions and used diagnostic medical ninjutsu on him.

"He seems to be fine. His body had gone into shock because of the...attack" Sasuke noticed how the doctor hesitated.

'So it begins. Also, now that I can think straight, why in the fuck did that happen nine whole days before it was supposed to? Did my existence cause a butterfly effect that caused Minato and Kushina to bang nine days earlier than they were supposed to, or what?'

"He is healthy enough to be discharged today. A nurse will stop by in half an hour or so to help with the discharge process" The doctor spoke with Raina "If you can go to the nurse station, they will have some papers for you to sign."

"I'll be back, baby, just stay put, ok?"

"Yeah." His voice came out a little weaker than normal

A little while later, his mom came back with some papers in her hand. And half an hour after that, a nurse came and helped them with the discharge process

After that, Sasuke walked home while holding his mom's hand

'She's been quite the whole time. Is she ok?'

"Mom, what happened?" Sasuke asked as he looked at the village. A huge chunk was demolished. People were depressed, and women were still weeping over the loss of their husbands and children. There are blood stains in some areas. Other areas, where houses had stood for many years, were now empty.

"It was a disaster, to say the least, Sasuke. Don't worry about it. I want you to focus on resting. The hospital discharges anyone who is well enough to make space for those who need it more. If you feel off or unwell in any way, you should tell me right away."

"I'll be ok. But what was that giant fox?" Sasuke asked, and even without looking, he could feel the people around him flinch

'Damn! Causing PTSD to a whole village? Well, I see why they're afraid. If I didn't know the truth behind the whole thing, I would be very scared too.' Sasuke thought back to the insurmountable amount of hatred he felt from the giant fox.

"That was a disaster given physical form. You shouldn't mention the fox out loud; it puts people on edge." His mom whispered sharply.

Sasuke didn't respond; he just put his head down and walked quietly next to his mom.

A while later, Sasuke and his mother arrived home. The entire compound survived, thankfully. But he can see cracks in some buildings and roads.

'Structural damage from all the explosions. Damn! Nano, can you scan the house and check for any cracks in the foundation or the structure itself?'

[Affirmative]

[No cracks detected in the foundation. Minor cracks were detected on the eastern side of the building, near your room.]

'Can we fix it with Earth style?'

[Affirmative]

Sasuke put his hand on the wall and, with the help of nano, he pinpointed the cracks and channelled his earth chakra into them. Thanks to his almost perfect control, he was able to mend the cracks shut perfectly in under 5 minutes

*Knock Knock* "Sasuke, can I come in?"

"Yeah, mom."

Raina pushed the door open and stepped inside his room

"How are you feeling, honey?"

"I'm ok, Mom, no need to be worried. But how is dad, and grandpa? I saw grandpa push that giant fox out of the village. Are they ok?"

"Yes, your father and grandfather fought it and pushed it out of the village, and thankfully, both came back unharmed."

"Good. Grandma is ok too, right? I see the compound is ok, so that means she's ok too."

Raina looked guilty when she heard Sasuke's question, "How about you rest some more? Your dad will be back soon" With that, she turned around and left the room.

'So grandma didn't make it. Since I remember my past life, I didn't see them as my family for real. Or at least that's what I told myself. I do have a strong connection to her, even if I remember my past grandma. They had similar personalities as well... I feel like shit.'

Sasuke lay in his bed some more; his brain wasn't thinking about anything at all. He was just staring at the ceiling. Tears slid down the side of his face.

Time passed while he just lay there silently crying.

[Notice: Information transfer available]

This brought Sasuke out of it. He looked at the blue hologram in front of him and took a deep breath.

'Might as well,' Sasuke thought. And then the same familiar sensation hit him.

Sasuke felt the knowledge pour into his brain. He knew the sealing matrix for the flying thunder god, though he couldn't use it yet. He only knows one aspect of the technique; he needs to learn the full technique before he can actually use it.

'Start a simulation. See if you can reverse engineer the flying thunder god from what we have so far'

[Affirmative]

But that wasn't interesting to him at the moment. It was the piece of information that he learned by accident, thanks to the Nine Tails' chakra, Chakra Laminins.

'What a fascinating concept. This is one part of how the nine-tailed beasts were created.' Whether it was consciously or unconsciously, he started distracting himself.

*Knock Knock* Someone knocked on the door before they pushed it open.

"Hey, Sasuke. I heard you were discharged from the hospital. How are you feeling?" Raiki approached Sasuke and sat next to him on the bed. He put his arm around Sasuke's head and hugged him.

"Dad? I'm ok. How about you? I saw you and Grandpa fight that giant fox."

"We're ok, Sasuke. I was busy all night helping with the aftermath. I came to check on you when I heard you were discharged"

"How about grandma. Is she ok as well?"

"Grandma is in a better place now, Sasuke. So you shouldn't worry about her, ok?"

'I knew she was gone.'

"Food is ready. Come on, we should eat something."

Sasuke nodded, got out of bed, and walked to the dining table. His mom was already putting food on the table.

They ate food in silence. His father ate quickly and headed out. The village needed every able-bodied shinobi.

His mom just cleaned the table quietly without saying anything.

Suske went back to his room. He looked out of the window. The village was gloomy. Fear and blood were so thick in the air; you could smell them.
