Chapter 1 - Meeting R.O.B.

Miguel had awaken, only to be enveloped by an overwhelming void. He tried to navigate his surroundings, searching for a source of illumination or anything that could guide him, only to realize that he was devoid of a physical form. He suddenly felt a surge of panic, but just as swiftly, a sense of tranquility enveloped over him, and with it, the world around him transformed. The shadows slowly changed, swirling and shifting until they coalesced into a familiar workspace. Still in this ethereal state, he surveyed the surroundings of the office.

The first thing that caught his eye was the trophies and accolades displayed on the wall, mixed in with what appeared to be vibrant and dynamic art pieces. Then, there it was—a colossal desk looming before him, and across from it sat a figure who resembled that of King Yama from Dragon Ball Z, exuding wisdom and calmness. With his mind steady, he realized how his present circumstances echoed the beginnings of those fantastical journeys Miguel had immersed himself in during his leisure moments. Feeling a surge of determination, he decided to voice my curiosity and posed a question.

"Who are you, and where am I?"

The giant figure in front of him chuckled a bit before answering.

"You can call me Rob and your in my domain a small pocket outside of all the multiverse."

"Wait, your name is Rob. So it's short for Robert or something."

"No, it's short for Random Omnipotent Being."

"In the simplest terms, you've lost the battle and met your end. The sickness that shadowed your existence from the very beginning ultimately claimed you, confining you to the sterile walls of the hospital for the majority of your days. You passed away in the quiet of night; there was no suffering, just a serene departure. Take a moment to gather your thoughts before we dive into the reason for your presence here."

After listening to R.O.B. words and allowing some time for reflection, he realized that the thought of his death didn't particularly bother him. Miguel was worn out at 17 years old, and most of that time he was trapped in a room, either at his home or at the hospital. He hated it. While any of his cousins and friends continued on with their lives, able to breathe the fresh air, have fun, and get in a relationship with the opposite sex, he remained laid down in bed, slowly dying. It was not fair. Plus, he had died a virgin.

R.O.B., realizing the young man finished going through his thoughts, looked at him again and spoke.

"Usually when someone dies, they get judged before deciding where to go. But since you haven't done any good or bad, we can't judge you. So you have been randomly selected to be reincarnated into any fantasy world of your choosing."

Miguel blinked confusedly.

"So, wait, what does that mean for me really. Just like that I have a second chance? Why?

"It's like I said, we can't judge you. You were unable to do any good or bad acts. You were chosen to live a second time. Plus, I and the other Robs are bored; we need some entertainment."

That didn't seem like a terrible deal to him. The thought of traveling around a new fantasy world was extremely appealing. His next questions were obvious.

"So, how does this process work? Do I go as I am now?"

R.O.B. quickly replied.

"No no no. We've observed that if we send normal people into these worlds without any power-ups, it often results in their deaths. Therefore, we're going to provide you with a specific, fresh, new body with zero miles on it and special abilities. So make a decision about where you want to go."

The young Miguel pondered for a few moments and quickly made his decision.

"I want to go to the world of DxD."

"No."

ROB quickly shut down his decision. The friendly tone in ROB's voice was gone. That caused him to get a cold shiver around his ghostly body. The boy regained his courage and spoke.

"Why not?"

ROB took a deep breath. He had lost count of how many people had requested to go there.

"I lost count of how many souls have asked to go there, and I also lost my patience. The last person I sent became a degenerate wanting to become a harem king. I will not make that mistake again."

The boy was about to speak again when he was cut off.

"No, I will not send you to the worlds of Game of Thrones, Freezing, Testament of Sister New Devil, Qwaser of Stigmata, or Sekirei." But I do have a world that you will like, and with a snap of his finger, the boy disappeared.

Fairy Tail

Miguel really couldn't believe it; he had been reborn just like Rob said he would have. He was reincarnated in Fairy Tail, not his first choice, but close second, and he could definitely make it there in this new world. At first he was worried and didn't know where he was going to end up. But when he took a look at his new father figure, he was excited.

Igneel could understand what was going on. Igneel discovered a destroyed human village, where dragons had slaughtered all the villagers. As he was about to take off flying, he felt a unique magical signature. He walked toward where he felt that peculiar presence. But what he had found was a disturbing charred body of a female human, but what caught Igneel's eyes was that the burnt body had been holding something. Taking a closer look, Igneel realized it was a human child. It seemed that the burdened body on top of the child was the boy's mother.

On that day, Igneel decided to take the sole survivor of the village along with him.

At first Igneel didn't know what to do since the child was still an infant, but thanks to his last mate, who was kind with humans, he learned how to take care of the boy. The first thing he did was to name him. Igneel didn't want to keep calling him "human boy," so he named the child Ignatius.

As time passed, Igneel felt something was not right with Ignatius. He was a strange boy to Igneel. Ignatius was excessively polite and mature for a boy his age. Sometimes he would catch Ignatius just staring at him with stars in his eyes, murmuring something in a low voice to himself, smiling. Additionally, Igneel could detect a faint scent of dragon's blood emanating from the boy.

By the age of 3, Igneel planted the dragon seed inside Ignatius and began teaching him dragon slayer magic. As the time passed, Igneel didn't see the changes he was expecting to happen in Ignatius; the dragonification had been suppressed by Ignatius's body adapting to it. Maybe once he had full control, he could change at will without losing control of his power or going insane.

At 16 years old, Ignatius was a tall teenager, measuring 6 feet in height, with an olive skin tone, silver-gray hair, and amethyst-colored eyes. His hair is of uneven length, with the longest strands reaching his shoulders, and it is styled with three notable shorter clumps that arch up to fall as bangs between his eyes and on either side of his face. He has a lean, muscular body for someone of his age. Ignatius wears a short, sleeveless black vest with prominent, thick yellow padding around the shoulders and neck. Loose, baggy black trousers, dark red wraps around the shins with black shoes, and with a wide sash tied around the waist made of the dark red scales of Igneel given to him by his father and Lady Anna Heartfilia on his fifteenth birthday.

Ignatius had returned to the cave he lived in with his adopted father, Igneel, and brother, Natsu. He was carrying a dead bear on his back for breakfast. As he skinned and gutted the bear 🐻, he placed it on top of the fire he created using his magic. As a child voice scream out his name.

"Ignaaaaaatiiiiuuuuuuussss, fight me. I'll definitely win this time." A small boy with pink hair screamed loudly.

Ignatius easily dodged the small fist heading toward his head. Natsu missed and quickly turned around to throw another punch, but as he turned, Natsu got hit in the forehead by one of Ignatius fingers flick, which caused Natsu to be sent rolling several feet.

"Natsu, haven't you learned your lesson by now? You're still too weak to fight me."

As Ignatius spoke, Natsu sat up with watery eyes, holding his forehead.

"Damn it, I lost again."

Then Natsu's eyes turn into spiraling swirls as he passes out, falling backwards.

Not even a minute went by when Natsu sat back up and pointed at Ignatius. "One day I definitely will beat you. Just you wait, brother."

As Ignatius heard Natsu's threat, he raised his finger, motioning that he would flick his forehead once more. Natsu stood on his feet and ran away.

Massive laughter came from above. The shadow that had been covering Ignatius began to move.

"It seems that that boy is full of energy at all times."

Ignatius looked up and saw a red dragon. As he sighed. "You're too easy on him. You're spoiling him. You should be a bit stricter once in a while, Father."

"You and your brother are growing up fine."

Ignatius smiled and shook his head.

Igneel was proud of his sons—well, of these two at least, Ignatius and Natsu.

Later on in the day a young woman appears; it is Anna Heartfilia, wanting to speak with Igneel. The day was set.

"Are you sure about this? Isn't there any other way? What if we call for Ignia for help?

"No, there's no other way. I need to do this, and your older brother has made his decision and chosen his own path in life."

Ignatius had a sad expression on his face, and sensing his sorrow, Igneel placed one of his claws in Ignatius's chest.

"I'll always be watching over you and Natsu, but I need to look over your younger brother from now on. That reckless Natsu will need his older brother to take care of him."

The following morning Igneel was gone. Ignatius knew that Igneel was inside of Natsu. Ignatius couldn't stop feeling the waves of sadness hitting him.

As a sleeping Natsu with a snot bubble wobbling was being carried, he and Ignatius made it to the place where the Eclipse Gate was. Upon arriving, Ignatius saw his other teacher in the understanding of magic, Lady Anna Heartfilia, and four other children just like Natsu; they were all in a deep sleep.

After Anna exchanged a few words with Ignatius. Tears fill Ignatius's eyes.

As Lady Anna opened the Eclipse Gate, something felt wrong as he entered. A magic circle had appeared around Ignatius that pulled him away from the others.

Elsewhere

A great whirlwind began to form outside a village near a large forest, uprooting several trees, while on the ground a large crater formed and expanded until a black sphere appeared, destroying everything in its path.

Several minutes passed before the sphere became more transparent and finally disappeared, revealing Ignatius. Ignatius started slowly waking up, trying to recognize the place he was in.

Ignatius tries to sit up but couldn't due to the rush of pain traveling throughout his body and the nearly depleted magic.

He didn't recognize the forest that surrounded him; it was unfamiliar to him.

"What's going on? Shouldn't Natsu and the other children be here, and where's Lady Anna? Am I still alive? Am I safe?" Ignatius murmured, looking around.

Ignatius sniffed the air and quickly picked up the smell of a human going toward him.

Just as he was about to lose consciousness, he heard a soft voice yell out.

"Yuno, Asta, come over here quickly. I found someone. Help me take him to the church."
