Chapter 266 - A Help From A Fox

Ronan scanned the approaching infected while his men continued firing. "There. The left side is moving slower. If we push through that group, we might be able to open a path."

"Then wait for my signal."

Jade steadied her breathing and watched the horde. The infected on the left were indeed slower, but she couldn't tell whether it was a weakness or another trap. 

Still, staying where they were was becoming more dangerous by the second.

"Now!"

The Pathfinders concentrated their fire on the left flank. 

Several infected dropped immediately, creating a narrow opening that Ronan's men began pushing toward. 

For a moment, it looked as though they might actually break through.

Then one of the fallen infected moved.

Jade's eyes widened as white tendrils crawled out from beneath its torn clothing, wrapping around the damaged flesh and pulling the wound together. 

The body jerked upright before lunging toward the nearest Pathfinder.
