Chapter 71 - Chapter 71: Too Domineering

Hearing this voice, everyone turned to look at the entrance.

A handsome young man with silver-white hair and wearing a gray hoodie appeared at the door of the parlor.

Tokiomi Tohsaka frowned. "Who are you?"

An outsider suddenly appearing in his home—this breach of etiquette made him uncomfortable.

Rin Tohsaka hurriedly pulled Sakura behind Lucas and said, "He is my teacher, Lucas."

"Teacher? Rin, what are you saying? Haven't you always been learning the family magecraft? Since when do you have a teacher?"

"I see. You wanted to find someone random to act as your teacher, hoping that you could pass the Magic Crest to them."

"That way, in order to preserve the family crest, I would be forced to keep Sakura. Is that it?"

Rin was stunned by Tokiomi's words. The brilliant plan she had agonized over was seen through by her father at a glance.

No one knows a daughter like her father. Rin's little tricks couldn't hide from Tokiomi at all.

Tokiomi smiled at Lucas. "Young man, I don't know what benefits Rin promised you, but that is just my little girl's childish nonsense. Whatever she offered, I can double it."

Lucas shook his head. "Rin didn't give me any benefits. But in a way, I am indeed Rin's teacher."

Hearing Lucas, Rin remembered. She had once bought a magic from Lucas. She could indeed be considered his student.

Lucas-nii's student! She was very willing to accept that. After all, she had witnessed Lucas slay a god with her own eyes. He was much more powerful than her father.

Zouken Matou watched this scene with interest.

Tokiomi didn't expect Lucas to say such a thing.

"Then what is your meaning, young man?"

"Rin told me she doesn't want to be separated from her sister, nor does she want her sister Sakura adopted by another family. Since that's the case, we should just do as she wishes."

Lucas spoke as if he were simply narrating a decided fact.

"?!"

Tokiomi, Zouken, and Sakura were all stunned by Lucas's words.

Rin, however, was extremely excited. As expected of Lucas-nii! Too domineering! That's Lucas-nii for you.

Looking at it now, the scope of the plan she had racked her brains over was simply too small.

"Young man, this is my family affair. Even if you are Rin's teacher, aren't you overstepping your bounds a bit too much?"

Tokiomi, a man who upheld elegance and respected etiquette, was becoming irritated by this person's lack of tact.

Lucas said indifferently, "Rin's business is my business."

"Young man, I don't know how Rin became your apprentice, but she is just a child. Without my permission, this apprenticeship doesn't count."

"I don't need anyone's permission to accept a student."

"..."

Tokiomi was truly a bit exasperated now.

Rin applauded and cheered, only obediently hiding behind Lucas after Tokiomi glared at her.

Tokiomi suppressed the urge to throw Lucas out directly. "Young man, since you claim to be Rin's teacher, then show some strength. My Tohsaka family is a prestigious name in the mage world, and Rin's talent is top-tier. I don't want just anyone to be Rin's teacher and waste her talent."

"Show my strength?"

"What? You are a magus too, right? I can sense it. As a magus, you naturally need to demonstrate convincing magecraft. Only then will you not be leading my child astray. Rin is excellent, my most outstanding child. I cannot hand her over to a mediocrity. If a mediocrity teaches her, she will eventually become mediocre too."

"No, I was just thinking where I should show my strength."

Lucas glanced around. "Everything in this room is quite expensive. It wouldn't be good if I accidentally broke it all."

Tokiomi was surprised by Lucas's words, not expecting him to actually agree. "In that case, please move to the courtyard, honored guest. It is spacious enough there for you to display your magecraft."

After speaking, Tokiomi glanced at Zouken.

Zouken chuckled. "Hehe, if you don't mind, I would also like to see what kind of magecraft this young man uses."

He didn't expect to see such a good show at the Tohsaka house.

Sakura said to Rin worriedly, "Sister, maybe we shouldn't do this."

Rin, however, looked excited. "Don't be afraid, Sakura! As long as Lucas-nii is here, there's nothing to worry about. Let's go quickly! I can finally see Lucas-nii use magic with my own eyes. I'll take you to broaden your horizons."

Soon, everyone arrived at the Tohsaka courtyard.

The Tohsaka family, as owners of the land, were veritable landlords. Any merchant renting their land would mysteriously find their fortunes rising and businesses succeeding.

Such a reputation spread quickly. All rich people believed in feng shui.

Even though the Tohsaka family raised the rent again and again, these wealthy people paid happily.

Because of this, the Tohsaka family was extremely wealthy, a top-tier affluent family in Fuyuki City.

"Young man, it is spacious enough here for you to use your magecraft."

Lucas looked at the beautiful scenery around him. Clearly, every flower, grass, and tree had been carefully pruned by workers.

"Forget it. You make the move. Attack me with your magecraft. That way, it will be easier for you to see my strength clearly, won't it?"

"?!"

Except for Rin, everyone was startled by these words.

Although Tokiomi's talent wasn't exceptionally high, he was extremely hardworking, bridging the talent gap with effort. Coupled with the Tohsaka family's Magic Crest, he was a powerful magus.

"Young man, are you sure you know what you are saying?"

Lucas smiled. "I know. Just attack. I also want to see how the magecraft passed down through generations in the Tohsaka family fares."

Lucas's arrogant tone made Tokiomi a bit angry. "In that case, I won't hold back. This is also magus etiquette."
