"Daily Future System Activated…"
"Do you want to claim the daily reward? Yes / No"
A blue screen appeared right in front of Eric's eyes. Below the message were two big square buttons—YES and NO.
Seeing the system, Eric felt excited. With his knowledge of the future alone, he could invest, trade stocks, and easily become a billionaire within ten years. With the help of this system, he wouldn't even have to work hard every time.
"This is good stuff baby" he thought happily.
Without wasting time, Eric clicked YES, expecting something huge.
First-Time System Reward:
• System Growth Panel (???)
• Thinking Acceleration (A) – Skill Stone
• Photographic Memory (A) – Skill Stone
Skill Stone: Crush it to obtain the skill.
Eric read everything carefully. Fantasy things were happening in real life, but he wasn't shocked. After all, he had already traveled back in time. Compared to that, this was nothing.
After accepting the rewards, another screen appeared.
Eric Coppola (Age: 4)
Skills:
• Thinking Acceleration (A)
• Photographic Memory (A)
• Strong Will (C)
Career:
• Babysitter (D)
Eric stared at the screen.
"Everything looks fine… not very detailed, but—wait, what the hell? I'm not that bad at babysitting."
The screen flickered.
Babysitter (D) → Babysitter (E)
"…Hell nah," Eric said. "You're cheating. This system is broken."
The screen updated again.
Babysitter (E) → Babysitter (F)
"Do whatever you want," Eric muttered. "I don't care."
Life continued normally after that. Every day, Eric claimed his daily reward. The rewards were completely random—some insanely good, some absolutely useless.
Legendary rewards like Inventory (SS).
Useless stuff like a toothbrush, broken slippers, or a packet of cocoa beans.
Sometimes skills appeared too—Mountain Climbing (B), Haste Reading (A), Perfect Posture (C).
Meanwhile, The Godfather, directed by his father, captivated the entire world and slowly became a cult classic. Francis Ford Coppola grew busier with promotions and interviews. The household changed, but Eric was still just a kid.
So all he could do was read books and watch films.
One day, Eric noticed a child audition notice for Paper Moon. With the help of a new system reward—Wiki (S)—he remembered everything.
Wiki (S): Contains all knowledge uploaded to Wikipedia, including future information.
Paper Moon was a female child–centered movie. Tatum O'Neal would win an Oscar at age ten—the youngest winner in history. The film would also perform well at the box office.
Eric couldn't get a major role, but even a small role would be useful.
"A two or three-minute role is enough for now," he thought.
After some consideration, Eric decided to enter the acting field.
Using Wiki, he learned the plot easily. He hadn't watched the movie in his past life, so he needed to create his own acting image. He noted a few key points:
Appears in Depression-era town scenes
, Walks with parents, Brief interaction with adults (reaction shots)
He practiced how to act, what expressions to use, and what mistakes to avoid.
Finally, when he felt ready, he decided to tell his parents that he wanted to audition—just like his siblings. He couldn't deny it; he was a little jealous that even Sofia had acted before him, even if it was just a baby role.
The screen flickered again.
Babysitter (F) → Babysitter (G)
Eric stared at it in silence.
Then he sighed.
"…Fxxx you, system."
