January 7th, 3077 of the Cosmic Calendar...
Shen bitterly smiled as he read the date on his phone screen, a chill suddenly running down his spine as he began to understand why no one cared that much about him being a gate survivor.
Thinking that much, he quickly swiped through the player forums that were already downloaded on his phone, checking for a specific title. Only after several seconds did he finally find what he was looking for.
"Brief History of the world, gates suddenly appeared, system and spiritual energy spread throughout, giving everything special powers, and a system of cultivation was opened. The threat of the monsters from within and without ( gates ) was so immense that humanity almost fell."
"Then, after losing countless lands, heroes that could destroy continents appeared, and since then, everything changed, and we became a cosmic level civilizations that spanned across galaxies."
'This is truly a brief explanation,' Shen mused as he finally understood what his position was.' Cosmic civilization, intelligent AI, hehe.'
"Kid, move out of the way, I'm in a hurry."
As Shen was deep in thought, a sudden voice of a man brought him back out of it. Confused, he looked left and right and saw that the player management office's walkthrough was empty on his both sides.
Taking a look back at the man who just called him, he found a fat man of the same height at the 7th layer of Foundation Establishment.
'Now that's interesting, isn't this the Murim cultivation path?' Checking out the fat man who just stood before him, refusing to move, Shen couldn't help but find this situation odd.
It should be known that the cultivation of people of earth depended on systems or whatever like the post described, Shen never imagined finding someone with the same cultivation path as him as soon as he got hold of this information.
'Is this his luck, or...'
"Hey, didn't hear what I told you? Don't stare blankly like a dumb fuck and move out of the way." A bit enraged, the fat man warned again, his voice slightly higher.
'Foundation Establishment Realm… seventh layer. On Murim standards, he wouldn't last a breath.'Shen suppressed a sigh. Starting trouble here would only attract unwanted attention.
'If I wasn't just repminanded by father for breaking that fucker's rib bones, I would have attacked this kid already for blocking my path.' The fat man was fuming inside, yet he couldn't help but talk in a nicer way than usual.
If Shen were to hear his thoughts just now, he would think that this guy truly came from Murim; the words would be so identical to what those young masters would say around there.
Not far away, a trainee had already noticed the confrontation.
"Brother, that young man is in big trouble. Do you think we should help him?" A petite girl wearing a red robe with a little pink staff held behind her back couldn't help but feel a bit worried as she saw the scene of a trainee targeting someone.
"Hmm? What do you..." Looking at where his little sister was gazing, the brother had a chill run down his spine as he quickly held his sister's hand and stepped a few steps back. His heart was almost jumping out of his throat.
"Brother, you..." Before she could even finish her words, he raised his hand and closed her mouth.
"Don't you know who that is?"
The girl shook her head as an answer, greatly confused by her brother's absurd reaction,' Isn't he just another trainee of a player? What's the big deal, we also are one.'
Whispering, the brother sighed in helplessness and explained," That's Dick, also known as Bone Crusher. He is the son of the current martial arts academy dean, and rumors are going around that his..."
The guy didn't continue as he realised that many people were listening to their conversations and chose to keep silent, his face showing evident fear as he couldn't help but muster up a bit of courage and yell aloud.
"Young man, move out of the way, that pathway is designed for only him."
'This should be doable!' Shen finally smiled after hearing the girl's warning.
Shen clenched his fist and gathered a bit of spiritual Qi in his left hand, eyes flashing with ruthlessness.
"Humph, since you're so stubborn, don't blame me for destroying your bones." Dick's hand dropped, staring at the petite girl a bit far away.
"Don't hurt him!"
Dick grinned at the comment and raised his fist way up high.
It was then that a thump echoed out, soon followed by bone snapping along with the fat man's wails.
His fist had long lost its power as he felt his whole body being thundered by multiple aftershocks with his bones cracking.
"Lucky that people are watching."
Blood spurted, and Shen whispered a few words before he left.
"Truly lucky!" Shen yelled aloud from afar before his figure vanished out of sight.
Although Shen's power was greatly sealed, his spiritual qi density was still something no mere foundation establishment expert would possess. In a moment of the fat man's ignorance, he elbowed his chest and snapped his ribcage.
If this were the Murim or a private place, he would have followed with a kick in one smooth motion and taken his head.
Right after Shen was gone, multiple guards from the player management office went out, their vigilance at peak state as they surveyed their surroundings.
"Aghhh! My che..." Dick couldnt even finish his words before he lost consciousness.
"This..." Two of the guards looked at each other, seeing this scene, beads of sweat formed atop their foreheads, as though they had a tacit understanding; one of them sped out of the place as the other began shouting.
"Listen up, everyone. Provide any footage of what happened, and you will be given a reward." The guard's body trembled all over as he thought of the consequences of what just happened.
If this were a nobody, he wouldn't even bat an eye, but the person on the floor was anything but a regular person. Just one word, and his job plus future career would be on the line.
Right at that moment, a guard wearing a similar black suit came up and whispered a few words to him.
"Found the footage, he fled that way."
"Catch him no matter the cost!"
