LOVED BY MANY, CHOSEN BY NONE

Feature Film Screenplay

PART 7

INT. KELVIN ADEYEMI'S ROOM – NIGHT (AFTERMATH)

Kelvin sits on the bed.

Blank stare.

Phone beside him, unread messages from Mira and friends.

Guitar leans against the wall untouched.

A faint hum escapes his lips, not full song, just whispers.

KELVIN (V.O.)

"Even silence screams when the heart fractures."

EXT. CITY STREETS – NIGHT

Kelvin wanders aimlessly.

Neon lights flicker.

Street vendors close their shops.

A stray DOG follows him briefly, then runs off.

He doesn't notice.

Passersby give him curious looks.

Some nod; some smirk.

He ignores all.

INT. CAFÉ – NIGHT (COMEDIC BUT BITTERSWEET)

Kelvin sits alone at a table.

Spills coffee on accident.

Barista rushes to help.

BARISTA

You okay, sir?

KELVIN ADEYEMI

I was better when I spilled less.

Barista laughs nervously.

Kelvin smirks faintly, then sips.

No one notices the ache in his eyes.

INT. MIRA OKAFOR'S ROOM – NIGHT

Mira paces.

Hands clasped.

Silent tears streak her face.

MIRA OKAFOR (V.O.)

"Some hearts need breaking to finally see who was holding them all along."

EXT. STREET – NIGHT

Kelvin stops near an old fountain.

He leans on the edge.

Stares at the water.

Reflections ripple.

He touches the water with his fingers.

Closes eyes.

KELVIN (V.O.)

"I gave myself to everyone… except the one who never left."

FLASHBACK – INT. SCHOOL LIBRARY (ELLA MORGAN)

Quick cuts:

Kelvin helping Ella with homework.

Ella laughing at Kelvin's jokes.

Ella holding hands with her boyfriend.

Kelvin watching from afar, quietly protecting her.

KELVIN (V.O.)

"I waited seven years for love that couldn't see me… seven years of patience became a wound."

EXT. KELVIN'S FAVORITE ROOFTOP – NIGHT

Kelvin climbs to the rooftop.

Wind strong.

City lights below.

He plays the guitar.

🎵 SONG – "WASTED YEARS" 🎵

Seven years of quiet love

Seven years I gave and stood

You walked with others, left me pain

Now silence echoes where I remain

Tears fall freely.

INT. MIRA OKAFOR'S ROOM – SAME NIGHT

Mira sits quietly.

Phone buzzes: a recording from Kelvin singing "Wasted Years."

She listens.

Her lips tremble.

MIRA OKAFOR (V.O.)

"He never saw me. Yet I never left."

EXT. ROOFTOP – NIGHT

Kelvin stands.

Looks at the city.

He takes a deep breath.

Yells into the wind.

KELVIN ADEYEMI

Why does everyone leave,

and the one who stays, I never see!?

Echoes bounce off the buildings.

Wind carries the sound away.

He sits down again.

Guitar rests on his lap.

No more song. Only quiet.

INT. FRIENDS' HANGOUT – DAY (COMEDIC RELIEF)

Dan Kay and Oscar Bello notice Kelvin's absence.

DAN KAY

He's gone too long. Maybe heartbreak catch am finally.

OSCAR BELLO

He dey alive… for now.

They laugh, but their eyes are worried.

EXT. CITY PARK – SUNSET

Mira walks slowly.

Reaches Kelvin's usual street corner.

He is not there.

She looks around.

Deep sigh.

MIRA OKAFOR (V.O.)

"Patience is one thing. Silence is another.

Seven years of waiting, and he still doesn't see me."

INT. KELVIN ADEYEMI'S ROOM – NIGHT (TRAGIC TURN)

Kelvin sits in darkness.

Phone on the table.

A message flashes: "I need to see you."

Mira.

He doesn't respond.

Closes his eyes.

KELVIN (V.O.)

"Even when love is patient, the heart can break first."

EXT. CITY STREET – NIGHT

Kelvin walks aimlessly.

Girls wave, smile, flirt.

He nods absentmindedly.

No spark.

KELVIN (V.O.)

"The applause of many cannot replace the gaze of one."

INT. KELVIN ADEYEMI'S ROOM – NIGHT

Kelvin opens a small drawer.

Pulls out an old bracelet.

Engraved: "Ella Morgan – 7 years."

He touches it gently.

KELVIN (V.O.)

"Even when someone betrays your patience, the memory remains sacred."

He places it back.

Stares at the wall.

KELVIN ADEYEMI

(to himself)

Mira… I see you… maybe too late.

EXT. ROOFTOP – NIGHT

Kelvin strums softly.

Moonlight glows.

🎵 SONG – "TO THE ONE WHO STAYS" 🎵

You waited quietly, love unclaimed

I gave my heart, but not your name

Now I sing to you, though blind before

I hope my silence won't close the door

The wind carries the song.

Empty streets answer.

FADE DOWN (STILL NOT THE END)
