Chapter 7 - Getting Married?

Zenryu stopped playing with the dragon and killed it instantly. It was the first lifeform to give him a worthy battle, so naturally, he had wanted to see its full capability and push it to its limits. But he was simply too overpowered, even when holding back as much as he could.

Anyways, with this, Zenryu reached level 100... wait, wasn't he at level 100 just a moment before? How was he at level 100 again? That was simple—he had reset his level. And since Jarvis had created copies of everything Zenryu had, Zenryu lost nothing from returning to level 1. So he could level up, return to level 1, and get better and better rewards endlessly. It was an infinite loop of growth.

"Oh, my old friend," Zenryu said while standing before his perfect copy once again. The two faced each other in silence for some time, neither one making the first move. Then his clone suddenly summoned the Gate of Babylon, golden portals tearing open across the sky, and began raining weapons down upon him.

Zenryu did the same without hesitation. Both of them used The Almighty, Kaio-Ken, Boosted Gear, and everything they had at their disposal. As a sea of weapons rained down from the golden portals above them, each one canceling each other out in bursts of sparks and shattered metal, the air itself trembling from the force of their collision. Zenryu shot forward through the chaos and began to clash with his copy directly... but it was truly not a fair battle. It was a two versus one.

His copy only had Jarvis to rely on, while he had both himself and Jarvis working together in perfect sync. The copy was overwhelmed from the start, forced to deal with both Zenryu's relentless assault and the endless barrage pouring from the Gate of Babylon. On top of that, Zenryu was adapting and evolving as he fought, growing stronger with each exchange, learning from every blow traded. The copy's Jarvis struggled to keep up, was overwhelmed, and was quickly defeated, allowing Zenryu to claim six more Beyond Extreme Grade rewards.

This time, he picked Divine Dividing, Najimi's set of skills, such as I Can Cancel, Humor Contrast, Infinity Quest, Skillful, and lastly Magical Life, which was honestly overpowered as it gave one the power to govern magic itself.

Well, Zenryu went on to reset his level, level up to level 100, and repeated this over and over and over again. He did it ten times before the System suddenly updated, ensuring that the act of resetting could no longer be done. A new rule had been put in place. From now on, everyone in the tower was safe from having their level reset or lost.

"I just got nerfed," Zenryu said in shock at this sudden change. Only to pause when he killed a monster and found that upon reaching level 5, he was given the choice to get Extreme Grade rewards. And at level 10, after his trial, he could pick Beyond Extreme grade rewards.

This made him start laughing out loud, as naturally he was far more overpowered than ever before. The system had tried to nerf him, but instead made things even better. He wasted no time and quickly tried to reach level 100... only for him to be teleported away before he could reach it.

He found himself standing before a gate made out of wood. Confused for a second, he looked around at his new surroundings before simply shrugging. With hands in his pockets and a completely indifferent look on his face, he walked up to the gate, which he opened with ease. He appeared in a room where a green-haired woman sat waiting for him, a cup of tea placed on the table in front of an empty seat.

She was beautiful. Easily the most beautiful person Zenryu had ever seen in his entire existence. Her beauty and charm transcended reason entirely, like a goddess was sitting right before him in the flesh.

"You're the final boss?" Zenryu asked with a raised eyebrow. He tried to scan the girl, but he got nothing back. No information at all. He subconsciously knew that he wasn't a match for this woman, at least not at the level he was currently at.

"I want to be... but sadly I'm not." She said with a sigh, drinking her tea while glaring at him with an annoyed look, which only confused Zenryu further. Seeing his confusion, she sighed in annoyance and went on to explain.

"I'm the tower." She said simply. Zenryu's eyebrow raised for a second as he processed that, before he nodded in acceptance.

"Makes sense, I guess. Keeping up with me is a pain," Zenryu said casually, making a vein appear on her forehead at his arrogance. But in the end, she let out another sigh while placing the cup down and looked at him for some time in silence, as if trying to figure out what to make of him.

"Forget it. Anyways, you have cleared the tower, doing something that few can accomplish every few million years." She explained softly, her tone carrying a hint of reluctant respect.

"Millions? I expected a few billion or more." Zenryu said, unimpressed.

"Many people have the support of the gods. Naturally, those who are blessed are capable of ascending to the plane of the gods without much difficulty. Anyways, you did something impossible again. In six days, blah blah blah blah blah." She said with a roll of her eyes, clearly not in the mood to list everything he had accomplished. It would take too long anyway.

"Anyways, your reward is a chance to get anything the system has to offer. Only one thing. It can be Divine grade abilities, down to trash. I don't really care what you pick." She said calmly, waving her hand dismissively.

"Anything?" Zenryu asked with a raised eyebrow, making sure he heard that correctly.

"That's what I said," she replied with an annoyed look, not appreciating having to repeat herself. Zenryu ignored her attitude and simply grinned. It sucked that there was only one ability he could pick. If there were two, it would be perfect... but still, one was more than enough for what he had in mind.

"Anos Bloodline," Zenryu said with a wide grin spreading across his face. Many people don't understand just how overpowered Anos was. No matter how infinite, how durable... You could be completely indestructible, and it wouldn't matter. You shall be destroyed regardless. Anos' power was all about destruction... but even that was only the tip of the iceberg. There was so much more to it.

"..." The woman's eyebrow raised as she felt Zenryu obtain that bloodline. She looked at him more closely, and instantly her pupils shrank as she sensed the power Zenryu had just gained flowing through him.

'...What type of mutation is this?' She thought to herself, genuinely shocked for the first time in a long while. She didn't recall creating the system Zenryu had. Every system had an infinite potential to grow; that much was true. After all, each system tapped into its user's Source, allowing a person to draw upon the power located deep within them... but since when did someone's Source embody so many different things at once? It shouldn't be possible.

Zenryu's Source had just become Destruction itself... the same Source that Anos embodied. The sudden and drastic change was so overwhelming that it left her stunned, unable to fully process what she was witnessing.

Anos' Source is the essence of destruction, and is "chaos" itself—the lack of and opposite of all order without exception. Orders are the rules of existence; they maintain reality, logic, reason, and such. Order iare laws that makes up the world and the power. In other words, they are the common sense of the world.

There are many orders: creation, destruction, nothingness, the end, and so on. For Anos Source to be the opposite of all orders without expectations… what was more overpowered then that? And now, Zenryu embodied that.

At this moment, Zenryu could give the middle finger to common sense itself, and reality would simply have to accept it.

But what did this mean? Let's look at the Magic Eyes of Chaotic Destruction for a moment.

[The Magic Eyes of Chaotic Destruction] — The power of this magic eye is the essence of destruction, but in chaotic form. It has the power to destroy even the indestructible, but even that is merely an after-effect spilling out from this magic. This magic eye is capable of destroying order and reason itself. If there's a contradiction between this magic eye and the reason that must be destroyed, Anos will win unilaterally. Compared to the reason that makes a single event certainly happen, it's far more advantageous for this magic eye that makes this event never happen. Additionally, the contradiction turns into the power of this magic eye.

This magic eye can make events that will certainly happen and/or already happened never happen, by destroying reason and creating a logical contradiction, therefore unilaterally winning. In other words, as one possible use of this magic eye, Anos can destroy a power after the power already affected him, by destroying the reason of the power and creating a logical contradiction, therefore unilaterally winning, and subsequently nullifying the power's effect as if he was never even affected to begin with...

Confusing, right? But it all revolved around contradiction. So long as there was a contradiction, these eyes would win 100% of the time without fail.

So, what would happen if this contradiction power was taken and fused with all of Zenryu's abilities? With this, Zenryu was truly overpowered... but this power was too overwhelming. Not even Zenryu could instantly master this power, and even Jarvis was too scared to touch it, keeping her distance from the chaotic energy.

'...No, even if a system mutated, it shouldn't be able to change a person's Source... The system draws that endless potential from the Source to begin with.' She thought, looking at Zenryu with a strange expression, trying to understand how this was even happening. She also felt like Zenryu had picked exactly what he wanted from the start... that wasn't normal either.

"That power you just got... you know, controlling it would be nearly impossible?" She asked softly, studying him closely. Zenryu nodded without hesitation.

"But I'm a genius. I should be able to do it," Zenryu said with a light smile, confidence radiating from him. Meanwhile, Jarvis had shifted all of her attention to taking The End and fusing it with all of the skills and abilities he had that revolved around copying others' abilities. It was an infinite cycle of copying, making copies of copies, fusing those copies together, and so on endlessly.

"So, you have a name?" Zenryu asked with a smile, causing the green-haired woman's eyebrows to raise slightly.

"You want my name?" She asked, her eyes narrowing with suspicion.

"I would love to get to know you. My mind has yet to adapt to this level of existence, so your beauty... well, let's just say I want to shoot my shot," Zenryu said with a charming smile. She stared at him blankly for some time, her expression unreadable. She drank her tea while her eyes remained locked on Zenryu, which made him look at her in confusion, not understanding the strange gaze she was giving him.

"Sure. Let's get married." She said with a light tone, as if she were discussing the weather. A question mark appeared above Zenryu's head, not understanding how she could shift so quickly.

"I don't like how free you are. A person without anything to limit his actions... marriage would be a good chain to keep you in place." She said softly, making Zenryu's face go completely blank. He wanted to quickly turn down the marriage proposal... but he was a step too slow.

[Congratulations on marrying the World Tree Yggdrasil. You have gained the title: Yggdrasil's Other Half.]

[Yggdrasil's Other Half] — You are the other half of Yggdrasil, and with this comes many benefits. You are loved by the world itself, you shall never be able to die so long as Yggdrasil lives, and you have all of the blessings of the world and more. However, if Yggdrasil dies, so would you. This is absolute and cannot be changed.

"What the hell!" Zenryu yelled, jumping up at this sudden development. Why didn't he have a choice in this? Couldn't he even reject it?

"Now, I think we should seal the deal." She said while removing her clothing with the same indifferent look on her face, as if this was the most natural thing in the world. Zenryu instantly tried to flee, but again, he was a step too slow. In an instant, he fell on his back with her now sitting on top of him, completely bare. Her indifferent gaze met his panicked one.

[Congratulations on your union with the World Tree Yggdrasil. The union has birthed the title: Husband of the World.]

[Husband of the World] — As the Husband of the World, it comes with many benefits. As the world is your wife, she would naturally bend to your will... just don't overdo it. Remember the saying: Happy wife, happy life. The more you please her, the more she will go out of her way for you.

"That was better than I expected." She said softly while getting dressed, completely ignoring Zenryu, who lay there looking dry and seemingly lifeless. She had fully sucked him dry, every last drop, leaving Zenryu's body growing skinny to the point his flesh was hugging his bones as if trying to fuse with them.

"Never again," Zenryu said weakly, his voice barely above a whisper... it was horrifying. To feel himself dying, yet finding the pleasure too great to care about his own survival. It was like one of those powers that made a person feel so good from pain, only in this case, it was pure overwhelming pleasure.

If Zenryu and Jarvis didn't work together as one during that, he doubted he could have made her feel even the slightest amount of pleasure. After all, she was existence itself. He was infinitely too weak to pleasure her on his own.

"I will allow you to go back down to Earth and do what you want. Remember, now you're not a lesser lifeform anymore. The current you rivals a fully grown adult in the plane of the Gods. On Earth, you might as well be all-powerful. So, avoid overdoing it." She said while watching Zenryu quickly recover, his muscles and such regrew before her eyes as his body restored itself.

"Understandable," Zenryu said with a tired sigh, still recovering from what had just happened.

"Then leave." She said softly, her gaze fixed on Zenryu... mainly his Source. The current Zenryu could blink and kill that massive dragon he had just fought without effort. His growth capability was truly impressive, and this was with his power being suppressed, thanks to the fact that the power of destruction naturally couldn't be controlled so easily.

"You have three hours. I will not allow you to stay down there for a second longer." She said calmly, her tone leaving no room for argument.
