Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Start selecting people, Naruto World

One-Punch Man World

Saitama was calmly comparing prices on discounted beef when Genos suddenly grabbed his arm.

"Sensei, forget the meat! You need to see what's happening outside!"

Saitama paid at the counter without complaint and followed Genos into the street. Both of them looked up at the massive screen floating in the sky.

After observing it for a moment, Genos spoke seriously.

"If what that voice said is true, then there are countless other worlds beyond ours—and we're just one of them."

"…So that means there are really strong people out there?" Saitama asked quietly.

His voice unconsciously grew heavier.

Ever since becoming unbeatable, he hadn't met a single opponent who could truly challenge him. That absolute strength came with a suffocating loneliness.

Sometimes, he even dreamed of fighting powerful enemies—battles so intense they made his blood boil. But dreams were dreams. They always ended before things got interesting.

Now, with this so-called Multiverse Power System, fighters from different worlds could face each other in real combat.

If he were lucky… maybe one day he'd be chosen.

For now, though, the selected worlds were the Pirate World and the Ninja World.

The system had clearly stated that the fighters would be chosen from those two places.

"Ahem."

Shinji cleared his throat and turned the camera back on.

"It's him again," Sasuke muttered as the screen lit up.

"Hello, everyone," Shinji said calmly. "I'm the uploader. As you've probably guessed by now, the Multiverse Power Tournament was created by me."

"Ape Pig?" Naruto blinked in confusion. "Why would someone call themselves that?"

"It's UP Master!" Shinji snapped. "UP. MASTER."

The computer in front of Shinji had already been modified by the System, allowing him to communicate directly with people across different worlds.

"…He can see me," Naruto whispered.

For a moment, Naruto panicked, wondering if Shinji had somehow seen everything he'd done recently—including things that definitely shouldn't be seen.

In the Hokage's Office, the Third Hokage calmly exhaled smoke from his pipe.

"So that screen was his doing," he murmured.

Only moments earlier, he'd been using his crystal ball for… unrelated observation purposes before the interruption.

While he was mildly annoyed, the idea of watching warriors from other worlds fight was undeniably fascinating.

"Do you know where this man came from?" Ebisu asked uneasily. The feeling of being watched from beyond the world made his skin crawl.

"How would I know?" the Third Hokage replied. "For now, we observe."

In the Pirate World, Aokiji slowly removed his sleep mask, staring at the screen.

"If someone wins," he asked casually, "their wish will really be granted?"

"That's correct," Shinji replied. "Money, fame, youth—reasonable wishes are allowed. But immortality or world destruction? Not happening."

Nearby, Kizaru's lips slowly curled into a grin.

If he could just win once, he'd ask for mountains of gold. No more Marine salary. No more overtime. He'd retire early and live comfortably for the rest of his life.

Sengoku noticed the expression and coughed sharply.

"Kizaru," he warned. "I know exactly what you're thinking."

"UP Master," Garp said casually while munching on crackers, "who's going to fight from the Ninja World?"

"That's up to them," Shinji replied. "Each world chooses its own representative. Alive or dead—it doesn't matter."

Garp froze.

Dead… didn't matter?

That meant resurrection was possible.

And if they won, a wish would be granted.

That was absurdly powerful.

"And the rankings?" Rock Lee asked eagerly. "Will everyone see them?"

"Of course," Shinji said. "They'll be visible anytime, anywhere. And the higher the rank, the better the rewards."

Might Guy clenched his fists in excitement.

"This is incredible! The name of Konoha's Blue Beast will echo across all worlds!"

He turned toward Kakashi with burning determination.

"As long as I rank higher than you, Kakashi, you'll be following behind me forever!"

"…Is that really necessary?" Kakashi sighed.

Across countless worlds, people became aware of the tournament's existence.

Though most knew they wouldn't be chosen, excitement spread like wildfire.

In the Ninja World, Pirate World, Dragon Ball World, One-Punch Man World, Baki World, Bleach World, and beyond—countless powerful figures stared at the screen, waiting.

Shinji raised a finger.

"One more rule," he announced. "No matter how fierce the battle becomes, participants will never die. They may be severely injured and lose the ability to fight, but they will fully recover afterward."

The tension exploded.

"So," Shinji continued, "Pirate World and Ninja World—you have thirty minutes to decide. I look forward to your choices."

In the Soul Society, even the elderly Captain-Commander's eyes burned with fighting spirit.

Ichigo clenched his fists, barely containing his excitement.

Meanwhile, Aizen frowned quietly.

This tournament could disrupt everything.

Elsewhere, Madara Uchiha smiled darkly.

"My clan… choose me."

If he entered this tournament, plans and reincarnation wouldn't matter anymore.

Only one thing worried him.

Just don't pick Hashirama.

Back in the Hokage's Office, the Third Hokage had already reached a conclusion.

"In terms of sheer strength," he said calmly, "there's only one logical choice."

The door suddenly burst open.

"Lord Third Hokage!" Might Guy shouted. "Please—choose me!"

"Guy!" the Third Hokage snapped. "You can't just barge in like this!"

Ignoring the scolding, Might Guy turned toward the screen.

"UP Master! May I address everyone directly?"

"You may," Shinji replied. "But only one person per world gets this chance."

"Yes!" Might Guy clenched his fist.

A commander nearby scowled. "You used up the only opportunity!"

"That just means you were too slow," Might Guy replied coolly.

A camera materialized in front of him.

"…Is this the button?" he muttered.

He pressed it.

The broadcast went live.
