I could feel something warm behind me — more like somebody than something. I rushed to run away, but my legs were not in good shape. I fell right after my first step.
"Are you okay? I didn't realise that you woke up," he spoke in a deep, husky voice. He had nice muscles, and his face had a golden touch to it. Jade green eyes — something begged for attention. Aster isn't human, so…
"Are you alright?" He touched my forehead. His face looked genuinely concerned for my health.
"Yeah… maybe not," I replied after realising how I couldn't walk or sprint.
"Rene will be here soon. Pick any clothes you like," he said.
That's when it clicked — I know this guy, and I know who Rene is. I met them when I was lost in the woods.
