Treating Rain was anything but easy, as her wounds had been far too numerous and deep. It was a miracle that she survived until now, but in the end, after three sessions of healing from Alicia, she could finally sit up on her own.
Her entire body still screamed in pain, her head hurt, and she was both starved and exhausted, but at least she wasn't bleeding to death anymore. Dante covered her with his cloak. "Sadly, your armor might be unusable for now."
Rain looked down at herself, blushed for a second, and then tightly rolled the cloak around herself. Earlier, getting treated and escaping death had overruled all of her other senses, but now that she was relatively fine, she started to feel more embarrassed about it.
"How much did you see?" She asked, and Dante gave her a smile and a thumbs-up. "Everything, I didn't miss a single scratch or wound."
Looking at his large smile, she really wanted to punch him squarely on the nose and wipe that grin off his face, but after a deep growl, she relaxed and sighed. She couldn't do it. He had just saved her life. If not for Dante and his detection ability, she would've died alone.
"How... did you end up like that?" Alicia asked with a worried face, and Rain looked at her with a smile. "I heard the echoes of a fight, so I rushed here hoping to unite with other Blesseds..." She pointed at the pile of abomination and human corpses. "The battle had ended, and I only found the corpses and one living abomination."
She pointed at the corpse of a large abomination that looked like a furry centipede with a hundred ape legs. "I guess the other Blessed ran away when that thing showed up."
The abomination was absolutely massive and looked utterly disgusting. "Dante... can you extract its Crystal Cores for me? I'm sure those will fetch me enough to pay Alicia for the treatment."
"Pay me?" Alicia gasped. "You don't have to do that!" As she cried, Dante stood and approached the abomination. "Yeah, you aren't paying anyone." He gave the abomination a closer look and noticed the countless spikes hidden in its fur. That was where the spikes stabbing Rain came from.
Using his sword, he sliced the abomination open and looked inside, and soon his eyes opened wide as he paled. "This... can't be!" His hands were shaking as he pulled them out, two large Crystal Cores. "Rain! This thing is a Cursed Monster!" He rushed back to them, and Rain just nodded.
"No wonder it was strong." She replied with a passive face, nodding as if this was normal. Alicia, on the other hand, wasn't calm at all. She immediately grabbed Rain by the neck and started violently shaking her around while bawling her eyes out.
"First Dante! And now you! Do you not care about your lives!" As Alicia screamed, the exhausted Rain struggled to resist her and cried. "Wait! I'm naked... the cloak..." She tried to cover herself, but to no avail.
"Dante! Stop her!" She threw a glare at him, and he just pretended not to see them. "Must've been the wind..."
After half an hour of crying, Alicia finally calmed down and let go of Rain, allowing her to fully cover herself once more. "Really... calm down. It's dead, and I'm alive." She panted and looked toward the two large Crystal Cores that Dante extracted.
"How did you even kill that thing?" Dante asked, and Rain looked at him. "I just fought it until it died." She looked at her hand, and her Lightning Spirit Biri started flying around her wrist.
Dante looked back at the abomination. "You know more than anyone else that you can't just walk to a Cursed Monster and kill it as a Mundane Beast."
She smiled, "I almost died, and I bet it was weakened by the other Blessed who fought it here." She stood, and Dante looked at her. "I can see everything."
She giggled. "Not for long." At that moment, shimmering light started dancing around her body, and a second later, a full suit of blue scalemail armor engulfed her.
"You got a second suit of armor? No, you received a Magic Item?" Dante stood and looked closer at her armor. The scales were pristine, looking almost alive. The seams crackled with magic, and not even a blind person could mistake it for a mundane item.
"Got it from that thing. It's called [The Discarded Scales of The Blue Wyrmling]." She took off the cloak and gave it back to Dante. "It's made from dragon scales and has lightning resistance. So... it's useless to me."
Dante already knew that Rain was nearly immune to electricity, as her body acts like a battery and trying to shock her would just charge her up.
"I still can't believe it, you defeated a Cursed Monster." Alicia looked at her with a still horrified face. But Rain shook her head. "I'm more worried that a Cursed Monster showed up here in the first place. Wasn't this supposed to be a mundane dungeon?"
"I don't know either. We faced a Scarred Monster, but to think a cursed one existed as well." Dante growled. "Scarred abominations in a Mundane dungeon are rare, but have been seen before as stray bosses. The only way a Cursed abomination could make it here is if it was the dungeon's final boss..."
Rain summoned a rapier in one hand and a buckler in the other. She looked at Dante with a smile, and then shrugged. "Does that matter to us now? We have to survive no matter what, so whatever this dungeon throws at us, be it Mundane or Eldritch horrors, we'll just kill them and survive."
Dante smile. "I don't know about you, but I cannot die here. So I'm on. Let's kill them all and survive." He then looked toward the horrified Alicia, and she sighed. "How come you two never fear death? I'm shaking here just knowing that a Cursed Monster showed up here. That only means we might face something even more horrifying at the boss."
Hearing that, Dante smiled, lifted his hand, and tapped Rain on the shoulder. "Heard her. We have to make it out of here alive." With a forced smile on her face, Alicia rolled her wheelchair closer to Rain and tried to tap her on the back as well, only to get jolted.
"What, why?!" Alicia cried, and Rain's tiny spirit started buzzing around. Seeing that, Dante tried to touch Rain's shoulder again, and even though he could feel the current, it didn't hurt him.
A second later, Rain blushed, and Alicia's eyes opened wide. "HAA? You little rascal!" She immediately swung her fist at the tiny spark. When she finally hit the spirit, she got jolted once more. Luckily, Dante stopped her before she could start swinging again.
"Stop it! What are you doing?" As Dante asked, Alicia looked at him with a sharp glare. "I can hear Rain's thoughts, and that thing is speaking with her. She told her that since you saw her naked, you have to take responsibility and marry her. And she is calling me a thieving whore."
