"Great spells," Alan nodded, then lifted his gaze toward the main building—the place where the boss resided.

As Alan stepped inside, a sinister presence flooded the air.

[ True Vampire Sylens has awakened ]

"Human… how dare you destroy my city," Sylens roared as his crimson eyes locked onto Alan.

Alan responded instantly.

"Haste."

His body blurred as he unleashed a relentless barrage—fireballs, ice spears, and condensed magic blades rained down upon Sylens, forcing the vampire into a defensive stance.

"Hahaha! Is that all?" Sylens sneered, his body flickering as he counterattacked.

Alan dashed forward, dodging the assault as he continued his bombardment without pause.

After Sylens' HP dropped to a critical level, Alan switched his weapon to Dainsleif.

"You humans are nothing more than insects!" Sylens screamed.

"Blood Cutter!"

Five crescent-shaped blades of blood shot toward Alan, tearing through the air.

Alan's eyes gleamed.

"Golden Flash."

A brilliant golden slash erupted forward, engulfing the vampire. The light tore through Sylens' body, erasing him completely.

Sylens' form disintegrated into particles of light.

"Heh… with my current magic power, even Golden Flash has increased tremendously," Alan smiled as notifications flooded his vision.

Alan walked behind the main building. Once again, the Guardian of the Labyrinth rose from the ground.

Alan immediately jumped back, creating distance.

"Arrow of Destruction."

A bow of pure black magic formed in his hands. Alan drew the string, and a condensed arrow of destruction took shape. The moment it fully formed, he released it.

The arrow tore through the air at terrifying speed and struck the golem guardian head-on.

In an instant, 90% of the golem's HP vanished.

Alan calmly followed up with a few more spells, completely finishing it off.

"Golems really are weak against magic," Alan muttered. "If I had used Ritual Hex before firing Arrow of Destruction, I could've killed it in one shot."

He smiled, ignoring the level-up notifications that appeared once again, and walked deeper inside.

Soon, he found three treasure chests.

Last time, he could only stare at them—but now?

"… last time I could only look, but now I can finally open them."

Alan rubbed his hands together like a shady merchant and examined the chests.

There were three types:

Gold

Silver

Wooden

"Let's start with the gold one."

Alan placed his hand on the chest and activated his spell.

"Unlock."

Mana surged as the locking mechanism clicked open.

[ Unlocking successful ]

"Hahaha! Now I can finally take it!"

Alan opened the chest—

Inside was a golden egg.

"…What the hell? A golden egg? Is this some divine beast egg or something?"

He immediately appraised it.

[ Pavranium ]

A mineral created by the legendary blacksmith Pagma.

Legendary blacksmith skills are required to process or use it.

"…Damn. I can't use this."

Alan sighed, then smiled faintly.

"Well, I can give it to Grid—or use it later through some method."

He stored it away and turned toward the silver chest.

Opening it, a pair of gloves lay inside.

A pair of gloves that the great magician Braham loved.

It is said that while wearing these gloves, Braham could weave spells faster than thought itself, casting magic as naturally as breathing.

Braham Successor or Great magician

Weight: 8 ]

"Good gloves," Alan smiled, immediately replacing his original gloves with the newly acquired ones.

"Now, for the last item…" he muttered as he unlocked the final wooden box.

The moment it opened, black smoke poured out, swirling violently before condensing into a spectral figure.

"You again!"

Braham's ghost glared at Alan with naked fury.

"Don't vent your anger on me," Alan said calmly, crossing his arms. "You were the one who stole Mumud's achievements—and worse, took his body and turned him into a lich."

"That was between him and me!" Braham roared. "An outsider like you had no right to interfere!"

"I'm not an outsider," Alan replied indifferently. "I'm Mumud's successor. When he asked to be freed, it was only natural that I complied."

Alan lifted his Hellfire Staff, pointing it directly at the crystal from which Braham's soul had manifested.

"I can already sense it," Braham sneered. "You're planning to destroy this soul fragment too, aren't you?"

"And what would you gain from that?" Braham asked looking at him.

Alan paused.

"…You have a point."

'Well, I am hoping of receiving your soul essence but I doubt a fragment of his soul can give me that' Alan thought,

Alan lowered his staff slightly.

"Alright. How about this instead—you give me one fragment of your soul, and I promise I won't hunt down the rest."

Braham's eyes narrowed.

"And why do you even need my soul fragment?"

"None of your business," Alan replied bluntly.

The two stared at each other in silence.

After a moment, Braham spoke again.

"From the calluses on your hands… you're a blacksmith?"

"I am," Alan nodded.

"How skilled are you?" Braham asked.

"I'm just short of forging legendary-grade equipment," Alan answered honestly.

Braham's expression changed.

"…Then you might be useful."

He crossed his arms.

"How about this? Instead of my soul fragment, I'll give you my magic battle-gear production method."

Alan considered it for a moment, then nodded.

"Deal."

"Take it—and leave," Braham said, flicking his hand.

A stream of light shot into Alan's forehead.

[ Magic Battle Gear Production Method acquired. ]
