The sound echoed through the chamber.

…Step.…Drag.…Step.

From all four passages, more figures began to appear.

Not just a few—but dozens.

Silver threads dragged across the ground as the undead advanced. Their bodies were heavier, their armor thicker, and their movements more coordinated than before. Some had multiple arms, while others had twisted forms reinforced with layers of silver.

The air grew dense.

SHHHK—! SHHHK—!

Threads started moving even before they fully entered the chamber.

Alan glanced around once.

"…More of them."

Behind him, the man smiled.

"This is only the beginning."

Alan let out a quiet breath and stepped forward.

The nearest group attacked immediately.

SHHHHHK—!!!

A wide net of threads shot toward him, sealing the entire front.

Alan didn't stop.

"Phase Step."

His body blurred and vanished.

In the next instant, he was already inside their formation.

Boom—!!!

The first impact exploded, shattering one undead from the torso.

Before the fragments even touched the ground, Alan moved again.

"10,000 Army Cutting Sword."

Boom—! Boom—! Boom—!

Three clean strikes landed across different targets.

Crack—! Crack—! Crack—!

Three bodies collapsed at once.

The threads reacted instantly.

SHHK—! SHHK—! SHHK—!

They curved mid-air, aiming to bind him from behind.

Alan turned slightly.

"50,000 Army Reversal Sword."

His body twisted as his sword also moved in circular arc drawing the threads and then sending them back.

And then within second of counter attacking he used another skill.

"20,000 Army Piercing Sword."

Boom—!!!

A powerful strike hit the center of a larger undead. Its silver armor dented inward before breaking apart.

Crack—!

The force pushed it backward, crashing into others and disrupting their formation.

Alan didn't hesitate.

He moved deeper into them.

Each step was precise.

SHHHK—!

Threads shot down from above.

He raised his arm.

"Mana Shield."

A thin layer of energy covered him.

The threads struck—

Tssssk—

And slid off without cutting through.

Alan moved again.

"Phase Step."

Boom—!!!

He accelerated suddenly, passing through three undead in a single motion.

A moment later—

Crack—! Crack—! Crack—!

All three split apart.

The chamber filled with sound—explosions, cracking metal, and threads slicing through the air.

But none of it slowed him down.

Numbers didn't matter.

He kept moving.

Attack—

Step—

Break.

Bodies began piling across the ground.

The threads slowed.

Then stopped.

One by one, the undead fell.

Silence slowly returned.

Only a few remained.

They hesitated, their movements unstable.

Alan stepped forward once more.

Boom—!

The last one broke apart.

The chamber became completely still.

Broken remains covered the floor, and silver threads lay scattered everywhere.

Alan stood in the center, unharmed.

He looked back at the man.

"…Is that all?"

The man didn't smile this time.

His expression had changed.

"…No."

He slowly raised both hands.

The ground trembled again—but this time it felt different.

Crack—!

A deep sound echoed from below.

Behind Alan, the lake began to shake. The water surface trembled violently.

Then—

SSSSSSSHHHHHK—!!!

Something massive moved beneath it.

The man spoke quietly.

"Now… let's begin properly."

The lake exploded upward.

BOOOOM—!!!

Water burst into the air as a massive figure rose from beneath.

It was covered entirely in dense, layered silver threads—thicker, sharper, and alive.

Dozens of threads spread behind it like wings.

Its presence filled the entire chamber.

[Silver Needle Overlord]

Alan looked at it calmly.

"…Finally something decent."

The creature moved.

SHHHHHHHK—!!!

A storm of threads descended.

This time—

There were no gaps.

Alan didn't retreat when the storm of threads came down.

He watched it for a brief moment, then activated Phase Step. His figure blurred and disappeared just as the threads crashed into the ground with a loud explosion, shattering stone and sending debris in all directions.

He reappeared to the side and kept moving without pause.

The Overlord reacted instantly. Its threads twisted in mid-air and chased after him at a much higher speed, cutting through the floor, walls, and even the glowing jade surface.

Alan leaned forward slightly and used War Step. His speed increased sharply, leaving faint afterimages behind him as he moved across the chamber.

The threads followed closely, slicing everything in their path, but Alan didn't slow down. He closed the distance.

The Overlord raised both arms and fired a concentrated spear of threads straight at him. Alan shifted his body at the last moment. The attack passed beside him and pierced deep into the wall behind with a heavy impact.

He stepped in and used 100,000 army massacre sword.

His fist struck the Overlord's torso with a loud impact. The layered threads compressed, but they didn't break. Instead, they tightened and pushed his arm away. At the same time, more threads rushed toward him, trying to bind him.

Alan pulled back immediately, avoiding the trap just before the threads snapped shut.

He noted the behavior and moved again.

The Overlord responded with a wide wave of threads that spread across half the chamber. Instead of retreating, Alan lowered his body and moved forward, slipping beneath the attack with precise timing.

He reached close range once more and used 100,000 army extinction sword.

Two strikes landed on the same spot, creating a small crack in the surface. The Overlord trembled slightly, but its counterattack came instantly. All the threads behind it surged forward at once and smashed into the ground with explosive force.

The chamber shook, and dust filled the air.

Alan moved through it without hesitation. Using Phase Step again, he appeared directly in front of the Overlord.

This time, he didn't hold back.

He unleashed Linked Kill, delivering three heavy blows to the same weakened point. The outer layer finally shattered, and the silver threads burst outward in all directions.

The Overlord let out a sharp, distorted sound as its control broke.

Its remaining threads went wild, attacking randomly from every direction.

Alan stayed calm. He moved through the chaotic attacks with small, precise steps, avoiding each strike by a narrow margin.

He reached the exposed core.

"…There."

He raised his hand and used 300,000 army stealth sword.

The final strike landed with a heavy impact, echoing across the chamber. The core caved in, and the entire body froze.

For a brief moment, everything became still.

Then the threads lost all tension and fell lifelessly to the ground.

The massive body collapsed forward with a loud crash, and dust spread through the air.

Silence followed.

Alan stood there for a second before straightening.

"…That's better."

Behind him, the man remained still, his calm expression gone.

"…You destroyed it," he said.

Alan glanced at him. "Was that important?"

The man's hands trembled slightly, but he forced a smile.

"…It was just one."

At that moment, the ground trembled again, but weaker and unstable. Cracks began to spread across the chamber, and the jade light flickered.

Alan looked around briefly.

"…It seems like there are no more."

The dungeon was starting to collapse.

He turned back to the man.

"Your turn."

The man instinctively took a step back.

For the first time, there was clear caution in his eyes.
