Chapter 43 - Chapter 43: ꧁༺ The Biological Leap ༻꧂

While Thien Anh was engrossed in his digital battle of wits with Lisa, a silent biological revolution beside him was reaching its zenith. The bodies of Thien Lang and Azure Sky were undergoing tectonic transformations.

The speed of their muscular tissue restructuring reached an inconceivable rate. Specifically, the density of red muscle fibers within their bodies far surpassed that of white fibers. In anatomy, red fibers—or slow-twitch fibers—are built for endurance, utilizing oxygen with extreme efficiency to produce continuous ATP energy, allowing them to fight relentlessly for hours without fatigue.

Simultaneously, the white fiber system—specialized for explosive power—was equally formidable. The Type IIA (intermediate) fibers increased in thickness to balance stamina and force, while the Type IIB fibers developed into ultra-dense muscle bundles, representing peak velocity and thousand-pound striking force.

It didn't stop at muscles; their skeletal frames were also heavily fortified. Lam Linh stared at the monitors, unable to believe her eyes: their bone density had doubled, yet possessed an incredible elasticity. These bones were now as resilient as specialized alloys; even if bent at a 90-degree angle, they would be nearly impossible to snap.

Just as Lam Linh's amazement reached its peak, the two creatures on the examination table twitched. They woke in unison, letting out a long, commanding yawn.

"Awoooo!"

The low howl carried a biological suppression so potent that Thien Anh was startled mid-task. He instantly abandoned his screen, rushing to the side of his kin.

"You two had me worried sick! How do you feel?"

Thien Lang shook his massive head, his brilliant blue eyes shimmering with newfound intelligence. He let out another yawn before suddenly speaking in human tongue:

"Hungry… I feel like I'm starving to death."

Beside him, Azure Sky stretched her coils, her voice lighter but equally clear:

"Bé… is hungry, too."

POP! BANG!

The moment Azure Sky finished speaking, a series of sharp, deafening explosions rang out. Unable to withstand the massive energy flux and the sheer volume of biological data surging from the high-tier organisms, the monitoring equipment short-circuited and blew up in a shower of sparks.

The sudden catastrophe sent everyone reeling. In her panic, Lam Linh stumbled backward, her head striking the hard floor with a sickening thud. She clutched her head, curling into a ball as she groaned in agony. Thien Anh rushed over, hoisting her onto the sofa.

"Are you alright? Where did you hit it?"

Lam Linh whimpered, tears welling up. "It hurts… My head is killing me! Ow, my head…"

Looking at her pitiful state, Thien Anh felt a mix of pity and suppressed amusement. He comforted her:

"C'mon, a little pain won't kill you. But why did the machines suddenly blow? Did you fiddle with the system again?"

Being blamed while in pain made Lam Linh 'furious' instantly. She bit his hand hard, then rained a flurry of weak punches onto his chest.

"I'm in agonizing pain and you're mocking me! I didn't do anything, they just exploded! Ow… I think I've fractured my skull!"

Thien Anh stood there, taking the 'assault' in silence. He thought to himself: If a small bump on the floor causes this much complaining, she'll flood the bunker with tears if she ever takes a real bullet.

"I wasn't mocking, I was just asking," Thien Anh sighed, his tone suddenly turning professional and grave. "If it hurts that much, let me help. Once you're out, the pain stops."

Before Lam Linh could react, Thien Anh's hand moved with lightning speed, delivering a precise, light knife-hand strike to the base of her neck. The movement of a professional assassin was unerring; Lam Linh instantly went limp in his arms. He gently laid her on the sofa and began clearing away the wreckage of the machines.

Thien Lang stood nearby, his gaze toward Lam Linh flickering with cold distrust. He let out a low huff. "Who does she think she is? Sticking her nose into our biology like that…"

Thien Anh knew Thien Lang still held a prejudice against her. He offered a small smile while cleaning. "Don't be so petty. I was worried about you, so I asked her to monitor you. Stop thinking the worst of people."

Hearing his master speak, Thien Lang's attitude flipped faster than a coin. He nuzzled his head against Thien Anh's hand, acting fawningly:

"Master truly loves Ki the most! No one is better to Ki than Master."

Thien Anh could only shake his head with a suppressed laugh, patting the wolf's head. "You flatterer."

Thien Lang squinted his eyes in joy, his tail wagging furiously. Once the debris was cleared, Thien Anh carried Lam Linh back to her bedroom. He tucked her in carefully, thinking that since she was ill, leaving her in the cold living room was out of the question.

Returning to his desk, Thien Anh's gaze hardened. On the monitor, the detailed blueprints and intelligence on Noi Ha City that Lisa had sent were now fully loaded. He began studying the military zones and strategic outposts.

The real game was about to begin.
