Back at the cup of glory after Syrous left, the rest of the matches were still not finished.
With azure blue eyes and dark blue hair, wearing a black leather jacket and blue jeans, that contestant's name was Shen. He was arrogantly staring at his opponent sitting on the air with hands inside his pockets.
While his opponent, Venus, was a beautiful girl with long, curly, golden-brown hair with bright orchid with vivid pink on her eye edges wearing a smoke-colored trench coat, she calmly looked at him, saying
"Why aren't you fighting?"
"Didn't you hear of the saying ladies first?"
"Ooh…what a gentleman...don't blame me for what happens next, okay?"
She placed her hands symmetrically over her eyes; small pink balls of mana started flowing from her, spreading across the arena. She slowly removed her hands, and a heart-shaped symbol appeared in the middle of her eyes.
Those orchid eyes emitted a dazzling pink color, catching whoever looked at them instantly. She threw a kiss at Shon, revealing her form as a four-tailed fox.
Shon, who was sitting perfectly fine a second ago, started to haggle, and his eyes blanked; he seemed to be under control.
Venous took a dagger that was on her leg, fearlessly advancing towards Shen, who was standing still. She kept spinning the dagger between her fingers as she moved.
"Hahahaha... the main ability for a four-tail is 'captivate'... with this ability I can easily make my opponents fall in love with me and be completely vulnerable to all my attacks."
Once Venus stood in front of him, she wrapped her left leg around him, surrounding him with her tail. She placed her dagger on his neck, whispering right into his ears,
"You lost."
When she thought victory was in her hands, he grabbed both her hand and leg; with a provoking smile, he said,
"You better think again."
"What?"
From the surprise, her four tails disappeared. She tried to free her hand from him, but his grip was clearly stronger.
"Trying to break free, huh?"
Shen loosened his grip, leaving an opening for her. She tried to back away, but he still grabbed her hands behind her back. This time his grip was stronger, so she found it hard to keep holding her dagger.
"Ugh."
"No use...just some advice: give up already."
She tried to give him a back kick but ended up trapped even worse.
"Take this…"
"Catch...not a chance."
Shen grabbed her leg midair; she struggled to fetch the dagger she had on her other leg as her last resort.
"Ow. Ow. Ow... You bastard...guess you forgot I have another hand."
She pulled a surprising attack on him. Before the dagger hit his face, he actually blocked the dagger with his mouth, using his teeth to trap it.
"What the hell?"
Shen bit on her dagger, shattering it into pieces, as he smugly said, "Now you can give up, right?"
"Why the hell weren't you affected by my magic?" She asked in anger.
Shen calmly said, "Your magic makes others fall in love with you, so it's no use against me.... You can call me immune to it."
"Immune?... How?"
Shen leaned closer to her ears, whispering, "The magic that makes others fall in love with you is worthless in front of someone who's already fallen for you."
"YOU?!..."
"Why is your face so red? Are you embarrassed?"
"You shut up..." she said at him, then turned at the hostess in the sky, shouting at her, "Hey...I surrender. Declare the winner already."
"You sure?! ...Once I declare the winner, there is no turning back," Luna asked.
"I know...hurry up already," Venus said as she was so helpless and embarrassed.
Lana turned to the audience, saying, "As per previous surrender, she is declared the winner of this match."
Once she finished, the barrier on their arena started going down.
"Guess the match did end, hah."
"Now that you know, can you release me already?"
When Shen realized he was still trapping her movements, he felt embarrassed, so he immediately let go, but it was too fast; she didn't manage to stabilize herself and fell to the ground.
"Ke-ugh...that hurts."
"I am sorry I didn't mean to...are you okay?"
He extended his hands to help her up; that flustered look on his face was so adorable that she reluctantly forgave him and took his hands.
"I...I am fine."
Her heart actually skipped a beat; the atmosphere between them was friendly till the hostess Lana suddenly appeared between them looking so creepy, scaring them out of their wits.
"Ah!!"
"Shit!"
"What the hell, woman? What's wrong with you?" Shen asked.
The hostess looked so annoyed saying this: "The match is already over, so... I would appreciate it if you two stopped feeding us single ones dog food."
Venous quickly defended herself with a blushed face, "It's not like that...we don't even know each other."
"Stop...your blushing face already says it all."
Lana said, and Venus became more embarrassed; her eyes started shedding tears, and she turned at Shen and gave him a hard slap on his face.
Slap_
"It's all your fault."
"Wh…what?!...What have I done?"
"Nothing, you idiot."
Then she turned away, leaving the arena; the hostess, seeing that, said only one word: "women..."
"Anyway, let's head to the next match; Titan and Balarc are still fighting....What the hell?!? They've still been throwing punches and kicks ever since they started fighting... Lana stared at them in disbelief. A barbarian fight where blood is everywhere was clearly something the elegant and clean-obsessed Lana could never accept.
"Aren't they done yet...okay, no hope to progress. Okay, coming back later now next…" She turned around at the other two since Snow and Mira were the only ones who were still present at the time.
Snow was a piggy-tailed girl with creamy hair and blue eyes with a vivid golden tint, wearing a mini sky blue dress with a blue ribbon in the middle front. She was holding a staff with a shaped snow crystal on its top, used to cast her magic.
The moment her staff hit the ground, it turned to ice. Instantly, snow started falling from the sky, circulating around them. In no time, a huge snowstorm swallowed up the whole arena.
"Do you like my ice dimension?!"
"What?!
Mira banged her fair hair with ginger eyes, wearing an off-shoulder top and flared jeans, and kept looking right and left, examining her surroundings. She was in a tight position, surrounded from all directions.
Snow smugly said,
"She can do it; I can do even better."
"She?!" Mira was confused; she didn't understand what Snow was saying.
"Eclipsa...I am talking about Eclipsa..." She jumped in her place a few times, saying, "She used an overwhelming ice technique to end her match fast. I can use the same, no, an even better one."
"Oh...what makes you think you can do better?!"
"Because I am a genius."
"Pfft...hahahahaha...a...a genius, you say?"
"W…why are you laughing?!"
Mira wiped her tears from laughing so hard, took a deep breath, and then shifted into a serious mood.
"While I admit your magic is strong, but..." A wicked smile slowly appeared on her face.
"You are nowhere near her level...you're only a little kid who still lacks experience."
A faint white light started coming out of her body. Finally, Mira decided to use her magic; the faint white light started to take the shape of a human.
"What is that thing?!"
Snow was so wide open from what she was witnessing. Instead of one Mira, there are more than five. 'What's going on? They look exactly the same.'
"Surprised...this is my special magic."
Mira's voice suddenly came out, but among all of the clones in front of her, she couldn't see who was talking. 'What the...I swear none of them moved their mouths.'
She couldn't stay distracted for long because as Mira spoke, her clones started closing in on her quickly; she was forced to back down.
'Let's not get hit for now...Among those clones, one is the real Mira; I need to find her.'
One of the clones attacked her from the back while another one came from the front. At that moment, 'There is a fifty-fifty chance one of them is the real one; if I took the hit, I might be able to capture her using some ice chains.'
She was about to receive a hit, but at the last moment she grabbed onto the clothes of the one in front of her and pushed him to take the hit in her place.
"Haha...thinking again, getting beaten isn't worth it."
Snow said and turned to look at the clones behind her. She was stunned; one of them punched a hole in the ground while the other's hand passed through his stomach, punching a hole into it.
"What the hell?!...Aren't they supposed to be clones?! Clones can't produce such power…"
"You are right but wrong…" Mira's voice echoed through the arena. "My magis 'phasma' is an ability that guarantees a hundred percent copy of the host, if not stronger."
"What the hell?!...Doesn't that mean you have a small army completely under your control?!...Is that even fair?"
"I like the sound of that, but it's not that simple, you see. In order to keep those clones, I need to make sure my main body doesn't get hurt, or all of them will disappear instantly."
"Disappear?" A plan started to form in Snow's mind: 'If finding the main body has such an effect, then she won't engage in the fight; instead, she'll find a safe place to hide herself. After all, her crazy clones are doing just fine without her...let me think. In a place like this, what will be the safest place...?!'
Snow kept dodging the clones' attacks and solved the snowstorm around the arena. She kept observing the clones around her, trying to spot any strange behavior that might lead her to the main body.
'Found it.'
She slammed her scepter hard on the ground; a large-scale ice spear came out of the ground, attacking all the clones all at once. She almost wiped them out, but she ran towards one of them at the far end of the arena.
'Ever since the start, that one clone never moved an inch, so it has to be her.'
Snow pointed the tip of her scepter over Mira's neck; she was happy that she forgot to look around her.
"It's my win."
"No!…it's mine!"
Mira was holding a long sword on her neck, and the one in front of her turned into thin air. Snow's scepter fell to the ground as she admitted defeat.
"I lost."
Her snow magic started disappearing, and as Lana announced, "We have a winner," the barrier started going down. Only then did Mira retreat her sword.
"Where the hell did you get that sword?" Snow asked.
"Just a basic role in any fight: keep your trump cards hidden well all the time...just like how I hide between my clones. "
As the sword in her hands disappeared again, she realized the downcast look on Snow's face, so she said,
"But I have to admit you are a true talent... protecting your mana consumption till the moment where you can truly deliver a fatal hit was unexpected from you but a truly wise choice."
"I am a genius after all." Snow's mood shifted immediately after hearing a compliment from Mira.
"Stop fooling yourself. If you're a genius, then what kind of monster is Eclipsa?"
"Ooh…you've got a point."
With the end of this match, only Balarc and Titan's match is still going as the last match. It was really hard to watch; both of them have held a grudge against the other ever since the selection round. They kept fighting nonstop till the others' numbers decreased on their own. They even knocked people unconscious by mistake, and they collected the bracelets by sheer coincidence.
"Okay...no choice? It's the last one..." Lana reluctantly said as she watched the match unfold.
Titan, a woman with a huge masculine build and short amber hair wearing short jeans and a white tank top, landed a heavy punch on her opponent's face, causing him to lose two of his teeth.
"Take this hit...haaaa."
"Ke-ugh"
"Pfft," Balarc spat out the broken teeth and looked at Titian with a big smile on his face. He wiped the blood on his face using his ripped shirt; his bronze eyes were full of spirit. He was enjoying the fight. He suddenly removed the iron rings from over his hands and legs; once they hit the ground, they created holes in it, and he started jumping in his place, kicking the air swiftly a few times.
"This fight has been dragged on for too long; it's time to put it to an end."
"Agreed…let's see who can stand till the end."
Titan closed her fists and punched them together three times to activate her strengthening magic; her skin turned into hard stones, and the length of her body increased noticeably. That was the BLOODLINE magic of the giants' tribe "PETRA," which greatly increases the strength and defense abilities of the user.
Titan slammed the ground with her leg, shattering it into small pieces. She rushed at him with all her force; as a result, every step she took broke the floor under her. Balarc's speed, on the other hand, was greatly enhanced after removing his weights.
Once they closed at each other, they delivered a punch with all the strength they've got.
"Keu-kagh"
"Uoogh"
As a result, both of them fell unconscious on the ground, and the game declared both of them losers, and the barrier fell down.
"Oh my god!...This is truly bad; both of them fell down....Without a clear winner, the games cannot continue so …whoever regains consciousness first will be declared the winner of the game."
The audiences kept waiting for almost ten minutes before one of them finally moved; it was Balarc who woke up, but due to the seriousness of his injuries, he was unable to move or speak, but Lana couldn't care less; she can finally go home and rest.
"U...ugh."
"The winner of this game is Balarc...with this game over, the second day reached its end. See you tomorrow."
