BONUS CHAPTER FOR 50 POWERSTONES!!!
--------
In just half a month, he'd cleared every boulder, weed, and nameless tree from this farm?
Pam leaned against the gate, stunned. She glanced back at the broken bus—then turned and sprinted toward Lewis's house.
"You want to fund the bus repair?" Lewis stared at her in disbelief. "Are you serious? That'll cost 40,000G."
That was no small sum.
The old Pelican-to-Desert bus charged 500G per ticket. Even if Pam kept all revenue after fuel costs, it'd take a full year to earn enough.
And now? With no income—and relying on Penny's tutoring wages? Impossible.
"…"
"Maybe if you'd drunk less earlier, you could've saved up," Lewis said bluntly, returning to his ledger.
"…Sorry," Pam murmured, standing to leave.
"But…" Lewis hesitated. "If Ron were willing to—"
He cut himself off. Asking Ron for 40,000G was unreasonable—the farm wasn't wealthy.
Though Gabriel would've paid without hesitation… but that was when the farm made fortunes daily.
"For now," Lewis said thoughtfully, "the library needs weekly cleaning help. One day a week, 350G."
"I'll do it."
Pam accepted. It was a drop in the ocean—but better than nothing.

Back at the Farm…
Ron sneezed, watching Fletchling return with wild produce. He tallied his funds:
With Mining and Foraging combined, he'd hit 10,000G by Spring 19.
His first Strawberry harvest (Spring 20) would net ~30,000G.
Now he debated priorities: barn/coop or farmhouse renovation?
Robin could only build one project at a time.
– Coop: 4,000G
– Barn: 6,000G
– House upgrade: 10,000G
Post-harvest funds would cover any choice—but they all required massive wood/stone. Sequential building was unavoidable.
Considering his Pokémon's growing refusal to return to Poké Balls… and his utter exhaustion with roasted potatoes…
Ron chose comfort first.
Soon, Geodude would return—perfect for logging.
He also planned to craft storage chests.
Testing revealed these chests—like his backpack—had extradimensional space and could be carried while full (unlike the game).
This meant: pair Rattata with a box-carrying Pokémon, and they could transport bulk goods efficiently.
Problem? No wild Pokémon had appeared in recent mines. Currently, only Geodude could carry chests.
Rattata were too small; Combee/Froakie lacked hands; Gengar could lift boxes but preferred pranks over labor.
Ron recalled the mischief-making Gengar and headed back to the mines with Rattata.

The next day—Spring 18…
Ron rose early, sold/mined yesterday's haul, then began watering.
Their luck with rain was abysmal.
Days wasted on watering made Sprinklers urgent.
He'd already crafted a basic Sprinkler (Iron Bar + Copper Bar) and tested it:
✅ Unlike the game, it had an on/off switch—watering continuously until crops were saturated.
❌ But its range covered only 4 adjacent tiles (diagonal planting required), wasting farmland.
Since strawberries were planted in rows, it'd even leave 2 tiles dry.
Still useful: placed near distant crops, Rattata could refill buckets from it instead of trekking to the pond—saving time.
Watching Rattata queue for water, Ron remembered the Community Center—and Joy's arrival on Spring 22.
The Center's condition was worse than his shack. If possible, he'd patch its roof and floorboards before she came.
Temporary fixes (wood planks over holes) were simple; the Junimo would handle full restoration once collection bundles were completed.
But seeds worried him.
He'd only requested "crop seeds" from Kalos—no specifics. With no way to contact Joy, he prayed she'd intuitively bring something useful.
If she brought duplicates of Pelican crops, his diet wouldn't diversify.
Still, something was better than nothing.
His real concern? Seasonal restrictions.
Stardew Valley's rules felt as immutable as gravity:
– 4 seasons, 28 days each
– Crops instantly wilt if not harvested before season's end
If the Kalos seeds followed these rules, he'd need the greenhouse (currently derelict) to grow them off-season.
