Chapter 33 - Chapter 33 | A New Life, Entirely

The next day...

Satoru had miraculously managed to return home unharmed and without being suspected.

"Goddammit!" he kicked a chair in his room. "Not only did I fail once again, but I also discovered Oro is my brother!"

He looked at himself in the mirror. "I... I'm a mess. A horrible, unrecognizable, tremendous mess. Where am I even going with my life? People my age dream to be a hero, while I'm forced to act as a double agent for that motherfucker of All For One who killed Tomura's grandma!"

Satoru sat on the bed, scratching his head. "I... I don't want to be a villain anymore."

He suddenly got up. "I decided. I'll continue to act as a villain until I get All For One. When I do, I'll side with the heroes and with my brother! I mean, what could go wrong?"

Inko opened the door. "Hideki, are you okay? I heard you talking alone."

"Oh, Inko-san!" Satoru exclaimed. "Yeah, I often do this! I like talking to myself!"

He looked around. "Anyway, where's Izuku?"

"He went outside, but he didn't tell me what he had to do so importantly."

(All Might probably called him...)

"He'll be back in a while, Inko-san," said Satoru. "Or at least, I hope so."

The next day

Satoru was watching Tv, trying to relax and to not think about his mental complexes. Suddenly, someone knocked at the door.

"I'm going," said Satoru, getting up. When he opened the door, he found All Might.

"Hello, Young Shirakawa," he said.

"Yo, All Might," said Satoru. "What brings you here?"

"I'm here to ask your mother the permise to take you to live in a dormitory at U.A."

"Huh? Seriously? This sounds cool, but... Inko-san is not my mother..."

"Really? You're not Young Midoriya's stepbrother?"

"No. It's a long story, I'll tell you sometime..."

"Inko-san! All Might is here! He wants to ask you something!"

Inko frenetically went downstairs. Shortly after, Izuku followed her.

"Please, take a seat, All Might," Inko said. (I can't believe All Might is in my house...)

The four of them sat at the table.

"Midoriya-san," said All Might. "I've personally come here to ask you the permise to bring both Izuku and Hideki to live at U.A.'s new dormitories."

(So I'm going to have Tetsutetsu as a roommate?)

"I want to be honest with you," said Inko. "I don't agree with this choice."

Satoru's eyes widened. "Inko-san, what are you saying?"

"It's true, my son's dream has always been to become a hero, but since he joined this school, he kept injuring himself and ruining his physique."

"As for Hideki... you can take him. I care a lot about you, and I love him as my second son. But he's not. He hasn't injured or ruined his physique. Take Hideki, but not Izuku."

(Oh, well... we're in a very shitty situation...) thought Satoru.

"If Izuku's path leads to a future filled with blood like that, then I..." said Inko. "I feel like maybe staying Quirkless and happily watching heroes work would have made him happier."

"Okasan!" Izuku stood up.

"You're a wonderful hero, All Might," Inko continued. "But when villains attacked, you couldn't protect Izuku."

"Young man, sit down," said All Might. Izuku did.

"Call me a bad mother, I don't care," said Inko. "I don't want him to abandon his dream, but if he wants to be a hero, he can do it in another school."

"Hideki, why aren't you saying anything?" asked Izuku, whispering.

"Because I want to live," whispered Satoru. "Inko-san said I can go, so I'm fine."

Izuku ran outside the room.

"Izuku!" shouted Inko.

"Wait, Inko-san," said Satoru. "If I know him, he'll be back in 3, 2, 1..."

Izuku returned to the room. "It's fine, even if it's not U.A."

(I knew it.)

"Look, okasan, All Might, Hideki," said Izuku. "This is a letter a kid I saved alongside Oro during the training camp sent me. In that moment, even if I was physically weak, it made me feel like a hero when I read it. It doesn't have to be U.A., anywhere is fine!"

(No, please, don't leave me alone at U.A., Izuku...)

All Might suddenly switched to his Muscle Form.

"You are already more than someone who's just following my footsteps," he said. "As a teacher, I must support you."

All Might bowed down. "I apologize for doing things out of order. I'm sure both Young Izuku and Young Hideki will become great heroes."

Inko sat on the floor.

(There are chairs! Why do they sit on the ground, dammit?) Satoru snorted.

"It's not that I hate U.A., I just want Izuku to be happy," said Inko. "Please live properly to protect him and raise him. If you can promise me that, then I will allow it."

All Might stayed silent for a moment. "I promise."

Satoru suddenly spoke up. "I'll do my best to ensure Izuku's safety, Inko-san."

"Really? You really would, Hideki?" asked Inko.

"Yeah," said Satoru. "Izuku is like a little brother to me."

(And this time, I really mean it.)

"After all, even if we're in different classes, we're both going to live at U.A., right? Make sure to call me someday!"

"Izuku, Hideki..." said Inko. "If you're really going to live at U.A... Then you understand, right?"

"I definitely won't make you worry!" said Izuku.

"Me neither," said Satoru. (Can I say? Being good is not bad at all.)

"All Might-san," said Inko. "Please, take care of my son."

Elsewhere...

All For One was trapped on a chair, unable to move or to speak.

(All Might... you lost your chance to die. Just because you defeated me, it doesn't mean the League of Villains is done. Soon, very soon, both Satoru and Tomura, especially Satoru, are gonna create some big problems in the society. It's only a matter of time, heroes.)
