Chapter 38 - Chapter 38 : Sooner or later, he will be eaten up!

After talking for a while longer, Electrolux and Kong Deming decided it was time to leave so they could focus on their cultivation. As many people say, practicing something is the only real way to see if a theory actually works. In the intense battle they had just finished, these two powerful experts had pushed themselves to their limits.

Because they fought with everything they had, they both learned many new things and gained deep insights into their powers. It was now very important for them to go into seclusion to refine the Spell Cultivator and Body Cultivator systems using what they had just learned.

Kong Mingan watched the two legendary masters walk away at the same time. He then turned his calm eyes toward Da Ming and Er Ming. The two giant forest kings were currently under a sealing technique and were staying silent not far away.

After thinking about it for a few moments, Kong Mingan raised his hand and used his power to open the door to his private demiplane. With a simple thought, several advanced undead creatures stepped out from the glowing doorway.

They were surrounded by a cold, deathly energy that made the air feel heavy. When they looked up, their eyes burned with pale blue flames of soul fire. They looked at Kong Mingan and waited silently for him to give them an order.

Kong Mingan waved his hand, and ten large metal containers appeared on the ground. Each one was as tall as a person and could hold at least five hundred liters of liquid. He lined them up neatly in front of the undead assistants. Then, he reached up and gently touched his forehead. He pulled out a glowing green blade known as the Blade of Life and tossed it to one of the advanced undead creatures. He looked at the creatures and gave them a clear command.

"I want you to go over there and take some blood from those two. Fill all of these containers up to the top."

He chose the Blade of Life because it was perfect for cutting through the incredibly tough skin of powerful Spirit Beasts. It would draw blood easily without causing too much permanent harm. Since Da Ming and Er Ming were like Divine Beasts, their bodies could heal very quickly. Filling these huge tanks with their blood would not be a difficult task for them to survive.

Even if their natural healing started to slow down, the Blade of Life would give them extra life force to keep them strong. This way, they could keep producing blood without dying. Kong Mingan realized that from now on, he would never have to worry about running out of rare materials from high-level Spirit Beasts again.

The advanced undead creatures nodded their heads slowly after hearing the command. They moved toward the two beasts to start their work. Even though they were powerful, their movements were still a bit stiff and awkward. Kong Mingan watched them for a moment and sighed.

Using undead creatures as lab assistants was never as smooth as he wanted it to be. They looked a bit silly and unintelligent as they worked. Looking at them reminded him of the junior students from his previous life who always made mistakes that he had to fix. Those students always had the same confused look in their eyes, and thinking about it gave him a headache.

While undead creatures were great because they never got tired and never complained about hard work, they just weren't very smart. They were excellent at fighting in wars, but they weren't good enough for detailed scientific research or complicated lab tasks. He needed something better if he wanted to make progress with his experiments.

"I really need to find some better assistants to help me around here," Kong Mingan said to himself in a soft voice. Even though Miss Meng was capable of doing these things, he didn't want to make her do dirty work like collecting blood. He preferred to have other people for that. After making a mental note to find some real helpers later, Kong Mingan cleared his mind.

He sat down and began his own period of secluded cultivation to think about what he had seen. Watching a battle between people at the peak of power was very helpful for his own growth. Time seemed to move quickly while he was focused on his thoughts. By the time he finally stood up and walked out of his laboratory, several days had already passed.

He used his Teleportation ability to return to his bedroom, which was his usual habit. He felt a bit tired and dusty, so he went straight into the bathroom to take a hot shower. A short while later, the room was filled with warm steam. Kong Mingan walked out of the bathroom while drying his wet hair with a towel. He was only wearing a simple bathrobe. However, as soon as he stepped into the main room, he stopped moving.

On the lounge chair nearby, he saw Miss Meng. He hadn't seen her in quite a few days, and she was currently resting comfortably in the soft chair. She was wearing a dress that fit her perfectly. The bottom of the dress ended right at the middle of her thighs, showing off her legs. She had also put on some decorative leg rings that made her look even more elegant. As she breathed, he could see the steady movement of her chest.

She had grown up a lot lately and was becoming a very beautiful young woman. Her face, which used to have a bit of chubby baby fat, now looked much more mature and sharp. She had a certain charm about her that was hard to ignore.

She lay there with her legs crossed in a relaxed way. One of her shoes was hanging off the tip of her foot, looking like it might fall off at any moment. Her other foot was swinging back and forth slowly. She looked very calm and at ease. Kong Mingan found himself looking at her for a second longer than he usually would. Suddenly, Miss Meng turned her head and caught him staring. A clever smile appeared on her face as if she had won a little game.

"Do I look good to you?" she asked with a playful spark in her eyes.

Kong Mingan looked away and went back to drying his hair. He walked toward her slowly and kept his voice very flat, as if he didn't care at all. "You look average," he replied.

Miss Meng raised her eyebrows and let out a small sound of annoyance. She stopped swinging her leg and put her feet on the floor. She stood up and walked closer to him, closing the distance between them. "Just average? Are you sure about that?"

"Maybe a little bit better than average," Kong Mingan said, trying to avoid giving her a real compliment. Miss Meng narrowed her eyes at him. She could tell he was being stubborn, so she decided to tease him even more.

"Well then, do you want to come over and feel for yourself? I promise the texture is very nice," she said with a mischievous grin.

"There is absolutely no need for that," Kong Mingan said in an indifferent tone.

Miss Meng didn't stop there. She seemed to notice that he was acting a bit stiff, which made her feel more confident. "If you don't like these, should I go put on some white stockings? I also have black ones in my bag. Or maybe you would like lace or fishnets instead? I can try them all on for you one by one if you want."

Kong Mingan felt his calm starting to slip away. He looked at her with a confused expression. "Why would you even carry things like that around with you when you go out?"

"I only brought them because I wanted to make you happy," she answered. She looked like a clever fox that had just cornered a rabbit. She was sure that he would give in and say something nice soon.

"Do you really think I am that much of a pervert?" Kong Mingan asked.

"It's only a matter of time before you become one," the young lady said with a light laugh. Her smile got even bigger. When other people were around, she usually acted more polite and stayed quiet.

But when she was alone with Kong Mingan, she didn't feel like pretending anymore. She acted however she wanted. She also felt a bit of a threat from the new princess who had shown up recently. Even though the princess seemed nice, Miss Meng wanted to make sure she stayed the closest person to Kong Mingan.

Miss Meng's ice-blue eyes started to glow with a soft light. She looked down at Kong Mingan's bathrobe and started thinking about what might be underneath it. She wondered if he was wearing any clothes at all. Her thoughts started to wander into dangerous territory. Suddenly, she felt a sharp flick on her forehead.

"Ouch! Why did you hit me?" Miss Meng cried out. She covered her forehead with her hands and pouted. Her eyes filled up with tears very quickly, making her look like she was deeply hurt.

"You know exactly why I did that. Stop thinking about strange things," Kong Mingan said, looking helpless. He didn't know where she learned all these bold ideas, but her head was clearly full of them.

Miss Meng snorted and didn't try to argue with him. She knew her Mingan was a very stubborn person who hated to admit when he was interested in something. But she was patient. She told herself that she just wasn't old enough yet. In a few years, when she was more grown up, she was sure he wouldn't be able to run away from her anymore.

She sat down next to him and stopped teasing him for a moment. Instead, she started telling him about everything that had happened in the city while he was busy in his lab. This included the giant battle that had happened in the suburbs a few days ago.

Because the fighters were at such a high level, the battle had caused a huge scene. Everyone in the city was talking about it. However, the government hadn't told anyone who was actually fighting. People only knew that there were four very strong people involved, but everything else was a mystery.

"I actually wanted to go and watch the fight with you, but you were too busy," she said, sounding a bit sad. "Our busy Mr. Kong stays locked in his room all day and never comes out. It's getting hard to even see your face lately."

Kong Mingan could hear the sadness in her voice, even though she was trying to hide it with a joke. Since they had known each other for so many years, they understood each other very well without needing to say much. He knew she felt lonely while he was working.

"I'm sorry," he said. He walked over to his wardrobe and started picking out some clean clothes. He kept his back to her so she couldn't see his face. "Why don't you come with me to Shrek City later today?"

Miss Meng was about to say something else to tease him, but she stopped immediately. She was surprised by the invitation. A happy smile spread across her face, like a little kitten that had finally caught a fish. "Did the great Young Master Kong just invite me on a date?"

"Are you coming or not?" Kong Mingan asked as he turned around with his new clothes in his hand.

"Yes! I am definitely coming!" she replied right away. She didn't want to miss a chance to spend time alone with him. These chances were getting rarer now that the princess was around, so she had to take every opportunity she could get.

"Fine. Then please go outside for a minute so I can change my clothes," he said.

Miss Meng blinked her eyes and leaned a bit closer to him instead of leaving. "Can't I just stay here and watch you?"

"What do you think the answer is?" Kong Mingan asked with a sigh.

"Fine, fine, I'm going," she said, pretending to be disappointed. She stood up and walked toward the door. In her heart, she wasn't actually upset. She just kept telling herself the same thing: one day, he would belong to her completely.
