Chapter 30 - Chapter 30: Parched Mouth and Dry Throat

June 11, 2019 — Clear Weather

The seventh fighter jet training session ended successfully. During the flight, the jet experienced noticeable shaking. This was the second time I encountered such an anomaly. I'm not sure whether it was because I handled it correctly or because the Union's jets are built to high standards, but I managed to land safely.

The jet numbered 05 has now been labeled "unusable."

Without proper maintenance available, I cannot fly jets that have experienced problems.

Compared to the slow progress in my piloting skills, two months of continuous shooting training have finally raised my marksmanship from the initial F grade to D grade.

I believe that as long as I keep learning and practicing, my overall abilities will steadily improve.

After pressing the final Enter key, the sound of typing ceased, and the diary entry was complete.

Leaning back in his chair, Haizaki exhaled.

Two months have passed since arriving in this world, and his daily schedule is tightly packed:

10 km weighted cross-country, 100 squats, 100 push-ups, 100 pull-ups for physical training.

Firearms shooting, vehicle driving, fighter jet piloting for combat skills.

Learning medical, mechanical, and electrical engineering knowledge.

Venturing out to gather supplies, checking and maintaining Villa Number Five and the other villas.

It's nearly a mechanical, assembly-line life.

Before sleep, he has the rare long stretch of free time for entertainment and relaxation.

Even so, fatigue sets in, and he relies purely on willpower to persist.

Utaha has suggested he take proper breaks, not rush into learning new knowledge or excessive physical training, and balance work with rest.

Haizaki simply replies, "I understand," but does not stop. Utaha sighs in resignation, no longer pushing him, occasionally expressing her wishes or keeping him company in his free time.

"Tomorrow, rest for a day. Sleep in tonight."

No matter how restrained, Haizaki's restless mind needs a pause to properly recuperate; otherwise, continuing nonstop will eventually cause problems.

In June, the temperature in Wuhua City is still a bit low, but the warming trend is clear.

Haizaki unplugged the external hard drive from his computer and placed it in the drawer. After two months, he had finished watching all the movies on it. Next…

Unexpectedly, he noticed two student ID cards in the drawer and smiled.

Seeing familiar faces lifted his mood considerably.

A few seconds later, he returned the IDs to their place and then noticed the box beneath them.

"I remember that was for gal games…"

He instantly recalled what was inside.

It's better not to think about it. But once he did, his body instinctively reacted, and his thoughts began to wander…

"Can't think. Can't think…"

Three minutes later, Haizaki let out a howl.

The game hard drive had been taken away.

Ahhhh…

He had to get it back.

And at the very least, shouldn't she have told him she took the gal game hard drive instead of sneaking it away?

Haizaki felt it was necessary to make Utaha aware of her behavior.

"Knock knock knock…"

Completely disregarding the possibility that the girl might be resting, Haizaki pounded on her door.

Drowsily, Utaha opened her blurry eyes, completely unaware of what was happening.

"What's the matter? I'm already asleep."

She yawned, not wanting to get up, still a bit groggy.

"This is very important."

"Wait a minute…"

Probably due to their familiarity, she only threw on a loose jacket to cover her figure and opened the door. Still, her fair skin was largely exposed to the air.

"What's the matter?"

Angry?

At the moment she opened the door and saw Haizaki's expression, she made her judgment.

What could have happened to make him angry?

She was puzzled. The past two months had gone smoothly; what could be wrong now?

"Did you go into my room?"

"Did I?" She hadn't been to Haizaki's room recently.

"Then where did my hard drive go?"

Haizaki observed her carefully and found her full of confidence.

Had she truly not entered his room without permission?

Haizaki began recalling events. If she were lying, he would demand a sincere apology to make her realize her mistake.

"Who knows!"

Utaha finally remembered. She hadn't entered Haizaki's room without permission, nor taken his hard drive on her own. Everything had been done with his consent.

She had worried he might confront her, but over time she assumed he wouldn't pursue it. Yet…

He only noticed the missing hard drive after two months. Was there something wrong with his body? she thought, scanning the room.

"You really didn't?"

"I didn't enter without permission. Recently, I haven't been in your room. But I did take your hard drive. What are you going to do about it?"

You agreed to me entering your room and taking the hard drive. Even if you've forgotten, the fact remains.

Facing Haizaki, she did not back down, her crimson eyes locking with his. Inside, a shiver ran through her.

Because Haizaki pushed open the door and entered the room, she had to step back.

"What do you want to do?"

"Click"—the door closed, creating a private space for just the two of them.

Utaha's heart raced, growing flustered. She instinctively hugged herself, clutching her thin jacket tight for warmth.

Was Haizaki, with nowhere else to release his desire, using this as an excuse to take advantage of her?

No way! No way!

"What I'm going to do… don't you know?"

The girl's room was slightly messy but cozy.

A pleasant feminine scent filled the air. In the corner, her wardrobe held scattered delicate lingerie.

Haizaki's heart stirred.

No, he couldn't continue thinking. He was here to hold her accountable.

"I don't know."

Utaha tried to remain composed, but her slightly trembling hands betrayed her nervous heart.
