The next day, all of them gathered in a room and the staff made an announcement. From now on, they are part of their association called World Hero Association (WHA) and those who are present there are the selected few to be an official and professional hero. They will get their certificate, indicating in which class they'll be. Now, about 800 people are present, each carefully selected after considering their background, power and biography.There were four types of classes- S,A,B and C. C class are the lowest and considered as a sidekick while S class are the top notch, capable of working by themselves.
When they got their results, Kael was put in B Class while Diego was put in C Class. Their class did not bother them, of course,as long as they work together. S class have less than 20 heroes, A Class is about 70, B class is about 300 while the rest are in C Class. They were also given rank, considering their power and capabilities. Kael was in Rank 8 while Diego was in top 300.
Further announcement were made; the heroes have free will to be in their designated city or area while also they can live in the facility. They will be given salary, considering the difficulty of their work and in addition, they can climb ranks too. Though they will be removed from the association if any activity of deviancy is done by them and they'll be restrained using a power nullifying band and will be in home isolation.
Girl: Excuse me, but how will we climb rank? Are we gonna fight someone or...?
WHA: The day the light shone, a dark light also shines along with it. This dark light is produced by our main concern, our archnemesis, Zerathos. Few got unlucky and got caught by it and became Dark Knights. Their minds is corrupted under his influence and carry out his every command. They are a threat to the world and your job is to subdue them with every means necessary. They will be relentless, but all of you are chosen by higher calling. So, do your best and try not to lose.
Senior citizens and childrens who have power also got isolated as the pressure on them will be high for them, plus they need more time to understand and know what is going on. While the adults and youngsters are more reliable as they understand what is needed to be done.
For people with power who broke the law or captured Dark Knights, a special jail is made for them called the 'Ice Box', located at J City.
On the third day, they were organised into a group/team. Kael and Diego got to be in the same team with two other heroes, both girls, one is a tomboy named Charlie, age 20 and the other is a supportive girl named Leona, age 19. Charlie was prideful, easily tempered and cocky girl while Leona gives a motivating and positive vibe. The team got paper like the others which contains their team name and codename. Their team's name is 'Nexus-5', and as for their codename, Kael's codename is 'Oblivion', Diego's is 'Kronos', Charlie's is 'Astra' and Leona's is 'Guardia'. Leona's ability include healing (slow), form energy barricade and boost her allies, which basically makes her a supporter. Charlie showed no interest in revealing her ability but as they realise her position in Class was A Class rank 16, they knew she's got to be strong and tough one. Leona was in B Class rank 37. Once they were done, they disperse.
By the time when most of the people went to the city side, an explosion occurs at the left wing of the facility.
Announcer: The facility is under attack. Multiple Dark Knights are detected. All heroes inside the facility are requested to stop them.
Charlie: Finally, some ass to kick. See you around, dipshit.
Kael: Wait, don't do anything rash or we could be in trouble.
But Charlie pay no heed and sped off, showing off her blazing speed as Kael and others follow behind.
As three Dark Knights (two men and one women) were destroying the facility, Charlie caught up, running at a blazing speed and tried to land a blow but one of them stopped her using a gust of wind to blow her away. Charlie took a breather and closely observe them. They had smoking black eyes and one of the spoke-
DarkKnight: Oh look, a hero has come to stop our tyranny, how heroic. Too bad, this will be the last place she'll see before passing to afterlife.
