POV: Aphrodite
The almost-kiss with Draco happened two days ago, and the tension hasn't faded. If anything, it's gotten worse. Both twins are being carefully polite, maintaining respectful distance, clearly trying not to push me after I pulled away.
But the bonds are restless. Demanding attention I'm not giving them. Making my control slip at unexpected moments.
"You need to train in shifted form," Bastien says during our morning planning session. The early light filters through the trees, casting dappled shadows across the small clearing where we've gathered. "You've been practicing partial shifts, but actual combat means full transformation. You need to learn how to fight as a wolf."
"I've only fully shifted a few times," I point out. "I'm not exactly graceful yet."
"Then you practice until you are," Bastien responds. "Better to be clumsy in training than dead in real combat."
