"You see...a few days ago my dear village was raided by the Tumidashi and don't even know a reason as to why they did it. My children and I tried to defend it but failed to do so, some fell in battle, others were captured while the rest fled. Do I really deserve to be called a mother when i cant even protect all my babies..,"
Ren and Yubashi glanced at each other in concern as tears ran down slime mother's slimy cheeks. As she realized their expressions, she wiped her tears away as she gave a little chuckle.
"Oh dear me, sorry to dump my problems into you humans. There is no use of pitying me as it wont solve any of my difficulties. This harsh world doesn't waste time on any of...
"We will do it!"
The slime mother's diverted to Yubashi as he interrupted her monologue.
"We will retrieve your village back and deal with the Tumidashi for you slime mother.
"Yeah Yubashi is right, that's what our clan was made for after all, helping the weak even though they are not part of our kind. So don't worry about your village.
Ren grinned at the slime mother as she nodded, leaving the slime lady in pure astonishment which left them in confusion.
"Did we say something unexpected?,"
Ren asked her which led the slime mother to respond with to nod in agreement.
"Actually you did. Humans and us 'creatures' as they call us, don't part with each other well. Its a bit rare to find such compassionate humans like you. Iam interested in your intentions.
"Don't worry about that...just take it as our thanks for saving Yubashi's life.
Ren replied as the rumbling started a second time.
"Looks like the orcs are having a difficult time up there but why close to the cave?"
Yubashi looks above in concern as she scratched her temple. Suddenly the ground above Ren and Yubashi cracked as the slime mother's instincts took over, her slime strands of hair stretching towards Ren and Yubashi, wrapping themselves around them as they bring them closer to her side.
Ren and Yubashi are left in as the cracking surface above gollapses,some separated rocks falling on the ground as clouds of dust form.
"Ouuuch,"
A deep groan can be head as the clouds slowly vanish, revealing a green, muscular built orc laying on her back as he removes some rocks from his body.
He looks up as he scratches her head in pain, some slimes approaching him. His gaze dart to the slime mother immediately as his eyes open.
"Oh slime mother! We might have an issue out si...,"
The orc immediately stopped talking as his gaze examined Ren and Yubashi, causing him to give them a stern glance.
"Humans...they have to be with it. Ah... and you have captured them. Good job, we should end their lives before anything happens. We don't know what they are capable of."
Her gaze becomes sterner as a fire great axe emerges from his hand, using it to get up.
"Its always humans,"
Ren and Yubashi's eyes widen as them.
