There was a low chiming in Hobin's head. It was like an alarm set on a phone. Hobin 's eyes opened slowly. His body had a little hurt and his head ached.
"What time is it? He asked in a low voice.
"TIME IS 8:41AM". The glasses replied.
"Oh! Oh my God! I'm late for school". Hobin snapped, getting up quickly. He scratched his head, itching for what to wear or what to do now.
The mid term was over and start of continuous session had began. Hobin quickly have the room, closet and bags a search as he looked for what to wear and where his books were. He paused as he heard his stomach grumble. He was hungry and needed to eat a meal before class. He clearly overslept and was already minutes behind school time.
"MAY I BE OF ASSISTANT? The glasses asked and Hobin gave it a serious thought. What possibly could the glasses do to help him out of this situation now. Those sparkle pair of glasses were nothing more but a combat system, but how would it help him get clothes or food for school.
"I WOULD BE NEEDING A VERBAL RESPONSE". The glasses reminded him.
"What can you do to help? Hobin asked curiously.
"WHAY CAN'T I DO? The glasses replied and chuckled. Though Hobin didn't laugh at the silly joke and was mocked for having a terrible sense of humor.
There was a sudden ding on the door. It was courier with a package. Hobin made a great deal of waiting and contemplating, before going for the door.
"Are you…Hobin Itoshi? The man asked and Hobin replied with a nod. "Sign here". He instructed. Hobin did as instructed and signed the delivery papers. He received a big bag and saw the courier leave in truck.
As he entered back into his house, he heard the glasses chime with a message.
"EXTRACTION COMPLETE".
"Huh…What is this? Hobin muttered as he unzipped the bag. It was a pile of freshly designed clothe. From trousers to shirt, sweaters and polo. It was a wonderful sight.
"How? How did you…? But I have no money". Hobin stuttered.
"WHEN YOU WIN FIGHTS FROM YOUR DAILY QUEST, A SECRET STASH IS GIVEN FROM THE REWARD. SO IT WAS MONEY, I USED TO ORDER YOU CLOTHES. AS FOR THE MEAL, YOU GOTTA SORT THAT OUT ON YOUR WAY TO SCHOOL".
Hobin smiled "How much do I have left? He asked with great expectations.
"ZERO".
Hobin screamed at the answer. He thought he still had a few reword stash money for transportation or food supplies. This meant he had to fix up a good old quick snack from the kitchen and run all the way to school, either that or he quickly handled a mission this morning.
"Are they any daily quests today? Hobin asked curiously.
"YES. A FEW ACTUALLY. THERE'S A GROUP THAT KEEPS DISTURBING THIS OLD LADY BY THE LINKED SHOP ON T-STREET. GO SHUT 'EM UP".
Hobin grumped as the quest would make him go halfway across town. But for the sake of money, he decided to get the job done. He raced out, gunning for the crime scene. On arrival the gang was already disturbing the old lady. They wore jumpers and looked like high school dropouts. Hobin let out a soft moan as he felt this might be harder than it looks. But because he wanted to get this done and over with, he immediately ran at them. Landing a cross kick on the face of one of them and swiftly giving out a quick jab on the other. The boys attacked back, forcing a series of block from Hobin, but regardless, Hobin used speed to move himself across them and land a quick hook to their faces. Both teenagers dropped down on the floor.
"Too easy". Hobin muttered and turned to leave, without even interacting with the store owner or anyone at all.
"Hey…didn't I tell you two to get the money. What the hell are you two doing lying on the floor like fools? A voice said and Hobin turned to see a female student.
She had a bob cute hair style, yellow jacket and a baggy trouser. Her cold eyes took a quick glance across the alley way to see Hobin standing in the middle of her brothers. She sucked her teeth and let out a quick question.
"Are you the one who did this? You beat my brothers up? She asked expecting an answer when it was clearly obvious.
Hobin didn't reply. He itched his head for a suitable response but got none. He slowly turned and wished to walk away.
"Don't you dare walk away from me". The girl snapped and used the alley walls as though they were ladders. She flipped in front of him and landed a quick side kick to Hobin's face. Hobin pushed back immediately and watched her close in quickly.
She was fast and relied mostly on her legs. Hobin found himself cornered and relied on his ability to dodge. Since he was good at that, the girl barely made him bleed. But her speed and never ending fury of kicks and punches, started to give Hobin concerns. He found himself receiving jabs and hooks with his fist and barely given room to counter.
Finally, a crack in the camel's back, saw Hobin fall over after a heel kick to his jaw. He grab his chin, smooching it as the girl closed in. He heard the glasses chime.
"YOUR OPPOSITION RELIES ON HER LEGS AND SPEED. TO DEFEAT HER, ALL YOU NEED IS DEFINING MOMENT. START WUTH THE LOWEST PART POSSIBLE, NOT THE HIGHEST".
Hobin nodded and stood up. But before could advance the girl quickly wiped him on the face, causing a nosebleed. He dodged the second and countered. Hobin drew her in using his face as bait, before smashing his foot and her ankle, and drilling a punch into her guts. She coughed out foam and staggered backward.
"Y-You punch hard". She mumbled. Struggling to get back up again. Hobin stared down at her. Eyes locked, cold and blood dripping down his nose. "You're a beast". She moaned and fell unconscious.
