Hunter disappeared to the bedroom. Time flew. Claire came back to the bedroom. She only heard the clicking of the keyboard. Hunter was busy and he hadn't noticed that she had gotten in. She had asked Hannah to buy supper for them and had brought some for him. She coughed twice but Hunter didn't even hear her. She called his name and still Hunter did not turn to meet her. She approached him and licked his ear. That brought Hunter. He turned to look at her.
"What was that for?"
"How many times do you want me to call you. "
"I didn't hear you. Sorry. "
"I brought you something to eat. " She said handing the food to him.
"Did you cook?"
"No. I asked Hannah to bring us something to eat. She has already left. " She said as she sat on the bed.
Hunter ate the food very fast and resumed working. Claire's cram pains had reduced a bit. She looked at Hunter's back. Hunter had put on a vest. He was a bit muscular and could see veins popping on his skin. She wanted to touch him, so bad. A sudden pain brought her back to reality.
"Hunter. " She called weakly.
Hunter heard her. He turned to see her curled up.
"Pain?" Claire nodded her head. Hunter left the room and came back with the hot water bag. He placed it on her abdomen and looked at her face. Her face complexion showed that she was in pain. Her face was pale.
"Were you feeling pain before you came?"
"No. It had reduced. "
There was silence between them for a while.
"Can I ask you for a favor?"
"Yeah. "
"Can you come in bed. I want to hug you. "
"I'm still working. "
"You had told me that no using electric gadgets before sleeping. Why are you going against it?"
Hunter watched her facial features. She was pouting. Hunter laughed. Claire looked at him, quizzically.
"Why are you laughing?"
"I never thought that you could pout. "
"Is it funny? '
"Yeah, who could ever think that I would once see you pout. You look more like a kid. "
"Do you want me to command you? "
"No. " he said instantly.
"Come to bed. "
"Can I take my laptop so that I can also get done with my presentation. '
"Just take it. "
Hunter took his laptop and climbed the bed. After he adjusted himself on the bed, Claire sat up slightly and gave Hunter a peck on his lips and then put her hands round his waist. Hunter touched his lips and looked at the woman who was sleeping with her hands round his waist. He smiled and turned to his laptop. He had finished his presentation. He looked at the time on his phone. It was a few minutes past minutes past twelve am. He switched off his laptop and stretched himself. He put the laptop aside and turned to look at Claire. He looked at her and remembered the peck that she had given him earlier and the one they had shared in the morning.
