Chapter 36 - max

Raven — POV

I didn't know how long we stayed like that.

Time felt suspended whenever I was with Rosy. The quiet hum of the environment, the warmth of her arms, the faint smell of lavender soap clinging to her clothes — it all made me forget who I was supposed to be.

I didn't want it to end.

"Dear… you need to get going," she said gently, her hands resting on my shoulders. Her eyes softened, though worry lingered behind them. "And don't worry — you can call me when you need more. I'll bring them."

The blockers.

My damnation sealed into small, bitter pills.

Without them, my scent would spiral out of control. Without them, everyone would know.

Without them… I wouldn't be safe.

I forced a smile that didn't reach my eyes.

"Thanks, Rosy."
