Chapter 2 - Demon Realm

Aden looked at those red, eerie eyes. Those eyes had locked Aden in their vision. Aden composed himself and replied to the deep voice.

"I am Aden Gray. I am here to complete the trial of the demon realm."

As Aden spoke, his voice echoed through the empty space. Aden patiently waited for the reply.

"Aden Gray, son of the renowned warrior Wolf Gray."

As Aden heard this, he got shocked. 'Wait he know me?' Aden thought.

"Your physical abilities are about to being checked."

As Aden heard this, the solid ground beneath him turned into gaseous state and slowly started to cover Aden's body.

"What is this happening?" He thought.

The black gas covered his entire body and then it slowly disappeared. As it disappeared Aden came out of the gas and he looked at those eyes.

"Aden Gray, physical abilities status: Strong. Aden Gray is sent to the 3rd dimension of the demon realm. Power: Illusionist, the description will be provided."

As the voice said this, the eyes infront of Aden slowly started to vanish from the view. As Aden saw them vanishing in the dark he got his ability to move. As he took his first step, his vision started to get blurry and he collapsed.

Aden's eyes slowly started to open, as he opened them, he founded himself in an old small house. He was lying on a broken wooden bed with no mattress. He stood up and looked around in the room.

"Where am I?" He thought.

He saw a desk made of metal that was rusted. He saw a small diary on it, the cover of the diary was of leather that was coloured black and seemed pretty old. He lifted his right arm and picked up the diary.

He opened the first page, the page had a yellowish texture with some information written in it.

"Illusionist, technique 'Double'"

He read and continued, "To activate it, the person should say a chant 'Double' which will create a shadow copy of the user with same power."

Aden's eyes widened as he read this, "A beginner can summon 2 copies of himself and as the person will progress he maybe able to form more than 20 copies without using the chant."

Aden looked surprised and decided to check if it is true or just some random fantasy. He put the diary in his pocket and said the chant 'Double'. As he said this, the shadow of himself beneath started to spread and stretched out long. Slowly a figure started to come out of it and as Aden saw this, his eyes could not believed what is happening in front of him.

The shadow copy fully emerged from Aden's shadows and had a grey coloured body.

'Interesting' Aden said.

He once again opened the diary and looked for some more information, "Use 'Return' chant to get your copy back in your shadow." Aden followed the step and used the chant and his shadow copy slowly stretched across and then slowly started to sink in his shadow.

Aden was amused by the scenario and could not believe that it was real. He had always read fantasy novels and heard about the powers of other people but, he didn't believed those are real as he always lived in his house and didn't went out much due to his mother's over protective nature.

Aden put the diary again in his pocket and opened the broken door that had holes and cracks, Aden came out of that small house.

As he came out, he saw the outside world, it was looking very unusual and eerie. The sun was black coloured and the sky was coloured red with shades of orange. The clouds were still grey. He looked around and saw the forest nearby, the forest trees did not had any leaves on them. The ground beneath was normal as the real world though.

Aden slowly walked forward, he was cautious as he knew that a small mistake in an unfamiliar world can cause a big problem. As he walked forward he heard a noise. The ground beneath him was shaking a bit. He looked in the sky and many bird like creatures flew.

Aden stood there, slowly a human like figure came into view from the dark area of the forest. The figure looked like a human but it was very different from a human being, it had claws and the teeths were razor sharp compared to any human. The area of the eye sockets were fully white and had no eyeballs in there.

"Is he a monster?" Aden thought and remembered of a conversation he had with his mother on the real world.

In that conversation, Aden's mom explained the world rules where if someone did not attempt the trial, they will be turned into monsters and if someone fails the trial, the result will be same but with a stronger version and the more powerful the monster is, the chances will be higher of him getting into a realm, so the monsters in the Demon Realm and the Divine Realm are very strong compared to monsters present on Earth.

Aden stood there cautiously and slowly started to walk backwards towards the house. As he was walking he noticed that the monster is blind and don't have any eyeballs.

"So he's blind, so maybe he can smell his target." He thought.

As he was walking backwards, a small stick beneath him snapped and caused a low frequency sound. The sound was not loud but it was loud enough to attract attention from nearby beings. The monster heard it and charged towards Aden. Aden turned back and started to run towards the house.

"Oh crap. How could this happen?"

Aden saw the house and was about to turn, but the monster's speed was so fast that it attacked Aden from his claws on his back. The strong blow sent Aden flying into that house and crashed in it. The claws pierced Aden's right arm and the red blood started to drip out.

"Ow! That hurts." Aden looked at the wound and saw a small knife on his right side. He lifted his hands and picked up that knife and slowly stood up.
