The Old Dao failed miserably in this area.
Because Dao is only meaningful if:
there is direction
there is achievement
there is an ultimate goal
Existence says:

And Dao has no answer.

Proto-Existent does not suppress the pendulum.
He does not command the world.
He simply allows one principle to operate fully.
And that is enough to generate a new truth:

Existence is the foundation.
If the two conflict,

Creatures may live without cosmic purpose.

If more and more regions become Fate-Optional:
The Great Clock will change.
The Great Noosphere will lose its center of gravity.
The world doesn't collapse…

And at the edge of the cosmos, the final question begins to echo:
