The night before battle, Sakura found Naruto standing on the balcony, staring into the dark.
She wrapped her arms around him from behind.
"You're carrying it again," she murmured.
He turned, pulling her close. "I just want to come back to you."
She kissed him—deep, grounding, full of promise.
"You will," she said. "And when you do…"
Her fingers slid under his shirt, warmth sparking between them.
Naruto laughed softly. "You're dangerous, you know that?"
She smiled. "So are you."
They didn't sleep much that night.
