Amara's POV
Dominic appeared lost in contemplation. Suddenly, his expression brightened with inspiration. "Stay by my side, and my connections become yours too.
"My brother becomes your brother, my father your father, my grandfather your—"
"Not interested," I cut him off immediately. "I'll forward Digby's contact details. He'll reach out to you."
Dominic released a heavy sigh. "That Digby might look respectable, but something tells me he's trouble. You're asking me to work with him, and I'm just—"
I knew exactly where this was heading and interrupted. "Just friends."
Dominic's expression instantly brightened. "Perfect then!"
I didn't waste energy responding and headed downstairs for my regular morning exercise routine.
Surprisingly, Dominic trailed behind me, still wrapped in his hotel bathrobe.
Inside the elevator, my irritation was obvious. "What's your game?"
