Bella's POV
I took the invitation, opened it, and scanned the contents briefly.
"Your Highness," I said to Helena, "the princess has invited us to a party at Hotspring Park."
"Were you invited too?" Helena asked, surprise evident in her voice.
I nodded slowly, my expression turning serious. "I have a bad feeling about this party."
No one shows kindness without an ulterior motive, I thought to myself.
Helena instinctively pressed a hand to her chest, anxiety creeping into her voice. "Bella, why don't you just pretend to be sick and skip it?"
"For some reason, I can't shake the feeling that this whole party is aimed at Bella," she thought.
Hotspring Park sat on a small island at the center of a suburban lake.
The location was undeniably perfect. The Queen had thrown parties there in past years, after all.
The scenery was stunning, and you couldn't ask for a better spot.
