Chapter 82 - Chapter 82 The Call of Redstone Power, Technical Minecraft!

Once enchantment options appear, they are difficult to change, and the same goes for books.

This mechanic has trapped many players.

The solution, however, is incredibly simple—so simple it's hard to believe.

Place a single torch between the enchanting table and the bookshelves.

When you put the book back in, the three options change immediately.

They changed from [THORNS I], [AQUA AFFINITY], and [LESSER SHARPNESS I] to [CHANNELING I], [CURSE OF BINDING I], and [QUICK CHARGE I].

There were no 'More Enchantments' options, so after a brief thought, Galen Yu kept the Channeling enchantment.

This is a trident-exclusive enchantment that allows one to summon lightning during a thunderstorm.

Lightning is quite unique in the block world; it might prove useful later.

He had plenty of books, so he removed the torch and continued with a new round of enchanting.

The bullet chat noticed this subtle change.

"Why does Great God Galen Yu place a torch every time?"

"Does the torch have a luck attribute? Does it produce better enchantments?"

"No, based on observations, Great God Galen Yu is definitely not superstitious. Every step he takes has a logic behind it!"

"So the torch really is related to enchanting, but we just can't see how?"

"It's tragic. We know he's doing something, but we have no idea what it is!"

"The gap in our levels is just too wide, sigh!"

From Galen Yu's expression and the state of the enchanting table, the audience could vaguely guess it was related to the enchantments, but they didn't know the specifics.

Headmaster Quill had a slight realization.

"Extending from my previous theory, the enchanting table can be upgraded, and bookshelves are the source of that upgrade."

"It seems each level offers different enchantment options. To maintain the upgrade, there must be an unobstructed path between the two."

A torch is a type of block; placing it effectively interrupts the upgrade temporarily.

Since different levels provide different options, interrupting the upgrade results in new ones, effectively refreshing the enchantment list.

Headmaster Quill couldn't say for certain, but he believed he was on the right track; that had to be the principle.

"Genius!"

Headmaster Quill had only one thought now.

A problem that had stumped countless players was solved so easily with just a torch!

It looked simple, but if Galen Yu hadn't demonstrated it, even a top research team might not have figured it out after several months.

And that was a conservative estimate for a top-tier scientific team.

For some smaller nations, they were likely just like the majority of the bullet chat, unable to comprehend what Galen Yu was doing.

"With this method, there will be many more choices for enchanting, increasing the probability of rolling good attributes."

In practice, this meant Galen Yu's strength would increase much faster than any other player!

Sky Island.

After spending the entire day enchanting and exhausting his supply of lapis lazuli.

Galen Yu had only managed to roll three books with 'More Enchantments' content.

[ADVANCED EFFICIENCY], [ADVANCED PROTECTION], and [HARVESTING].

The first two were self-explanatory, increasing mining speed and protection strength.

Harvesting increased the number of drops from non-block resources.

It had three levels and was essentially similar to Fortune.

After some thought, Galen Yu enchanted his Fiery Pickaxe with it.

The Mazebreaker was already excellent, with high mining speed and durability, and it came with Fortune and Efficiency, so it didn't need extra enchantments.

Furthermore, the Fiery Pickaxe had an advantage that other pickaxes couldn't replace.

Auto-smelting!

Mined ores no longer needed to be burned in a furnace; they automatically turned into ingots.

Combined with the Harvesting enchantment, the results should be quite impressive.

As night fell and he saw the wool bed in his home, Galen Yu suddenly realized something.

"Has it been a long time since I last slept?"

Between visiting the Nether and the Twilight Forest, both dimensions where day and night didn't exist.

It occurred to him now that he hadn't rested for nearly half a month.

He didn't feel a hint of fatigue; he was still energetic and in peak condition.

Unlike other players who were forced to endure with food, his body of Steve would never feel tired.

Having nothing to do tonight, he decided to take a good rest on the comfortable wool bed.

When he opened his eyes again, a new day had arrived.

Cicadas were singing, and the grass was swaying.

The pleasant humming of villagers drifted over, and several Copper Golems scurried back and forth, organizing the messy chests until they were spotless.

A ray of sunlight pierced through the night, illuminating the world.

Despite being the darkest hour of a zombie virus outbreak where everyone was in crisis, Galen Yu's sky island radiated a cozy warmth!

"It's hard to imagine that Great God Galen Yu and the others are in the same civilization!"

"Compared to Great God Galen Yu, Soren Park is truly pathetic!"

"Not only was he terrified all night, but a few zombies spawned nearby and almost scared him to death!"

"Haha, he almost fell off the island. That really would have been 'scared to death'!"

"To be honest, with the atmosphere of Great God Galen Yu's sky island, even I want to live there!"

"It has historical monuments, security, and randomly appearing scenery. It's better than most tourist attractions!"

"And those little creatures running around—I thought they were adorable when Great God Galen Yu made them yesterday!"

"It's so nice!"

Even many foreign viewers felt a sense of longing.

Who knew when their own players would die, or when a swarm of zombies and skeletons would drop on their heads?

In comparison, Galen Yu's sky island was far too comfortable!

It was like a paradise on earth!

After waking up for a few seconds, Galen Yu jumped out of bed.

He was still full of energy, his mind clear and sharp, in his absolute best state.

Looking up, a new terrain seemed to have appeared in the direction of the Rainbow Tree.

Since it wasn't connected to the sky island, the zombies and skeletons had automatically burned and perished once daylight arrived, vanishing completely.

Curious, he walked over and found it was a small area composed of sand and grass blocks.

"Sand? This is good stuff!"

Once smelted into glass, it could serve practical purposes in many places or be used as decoration.

He built a path of slabs over and discovered a Desert Temple was there as well.

Unfortunately, by the time Galen Yu reached it, only a few zombies remained.

The TNT underneath had been triggered by something, blowing the place into a crater.

Using the Annihilation Cube to clear the area, the zombies fell into the void. After collecting the sand, he found a few other items.

Sugar cane, coal ore, lapis lazuli, and redstone.

He mined everything with his Fiery Pickaxe, which was enchanted with Harvesting. Normally, he would only get nine pieces of sugar cane.

Under the Harvesting effect, he obtained thirty pieces, and the other ores were obtained in quantities two to three times greater than usual.

"Fortune is so useful!"

After just a few swings, his inventory was filled with minerals, making Galen Yu very happy.

Turning one into three—the efficiency was greatly improved. It felt much better than using a normal pickaxe!

The foreign viewers were all envious, gaining a new understanding of just how important enchanting was.

After clearing the sandy area and returning to the sky island, Galen Yu took out the sugar cane and redstone.

Sugar cane could be made into sugar or paper, playing a pivotal role in the block world.

And redstone, while seemingly useless, could actually be used to make pistons, redstone circuits, and rails...

In the hands of some players, it truly was useless, but in the hands of others...

It could create a complete, powerful, and incredible system!

Looking at the sugar cane and redstone in his hand, Galen Yu felt the call of a mysterious power.

"Technical Minecraft!"
