Chapter 26 - The Second Pillar Who Wet His Pants

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Several shuriken flew out at the same time. Before they even finished their trajectories, another set of shuriken was thrown. Each pair collided midair, altering their paths—and in the end, every single one buried itself dead-center in a target.

After showing off, Itachi turned back to Yun.

"Didn't you say this kind of trick was pointless? Then why are you learning it now?"

Yun looked at his own tragic-looking target… then at the kunai in his hand.

It's not like I want to learn this.

This was entirely because Kong's clone needed it.

Last time at the orphanage, during the fight with Danzō and Orochimaru, he'd realized something very clearly—

Flying Thunder God alone wasn't enough. If your shuriken accuracy was garbage, you couldn't fully exploit it.

Otherwise, that day… killing Danzō might not have been impossible.

"Stop talking. Just teach me," Yun said flatly. "Worst case, I'll treat you to dango later."

Itachi frowned slightly.

That dango topic really just wouldn't go away.

After another detailed explanation of trajectory calculation, Itachi demonstrated again.

To Yun's ears, it all translated to:

Brain: I understand everything.

Hands: I'm ready.

Result: Miss.

"HAHAHAHA—!"

Shisui, watching from the side, was having way too much fun.

"Yun, this is the first time I've seen you get frustrated."

Still, he added helpfully, "Itachi's calculation ability is exceptional. If you can't handle trajectory redirection, focus on multi-shuriken accuracy instead."

"Even that alone is more than enough for most fights. Everyone has their own rhythm—you can't be good at everything."

Yun thought about it, then nodded.

After practicing for a bit, he asked casually,

"Just got back from a mission? You seem free. Didn't Uchiha Yashiro call you for a meeting?"

Shisui glanced toward Itachi to make sure he couldn't hear, then replied quietly.

"Since Captain Fugaku passed away, the police force has been under Yashiro's control. He understands the village–Uchiha relationship quite clearly."

Yun snorted.

"So it's his father again—Uchiha Seventh Generation, that so-called elder?"

Shisui sighed and nodded.

"He was one of Uchiha Setsuna's followers back in the day. Hardcore hawk faction. He believes Konoha was founded by Uchiha and Senju together."

"The Senju produced two Hokage, but Uchiha produced none. Worse… we were pushed outside the core of power."

Yun finished calmly,

"That's partly Tobirama's legacy—and partly our own fault."

The two talked until Itachi returned, then stopped.

Around noon, just as they were about to eat—

Yun and Itachi both froze.

They exchanged glances.

Shisui frowned. "What's wrong?"

Itachi said, "Looks like I need to go home. My shadow clone was dispelled."

Yun laughed.

"Same here—but mine wasn't dispelled. It beat up some upper-classmen too badly, then exploded and dumped the mess on me."

Itachi looked over.

"…Your chakra pool is that big?"

Yun replied calmly,

"Not much. Just a tiny bit more than yours."

Yeah, right.

Senju Hashirama-level chakra wasn't a joke.

If his Sage Body was fully developed, he'd already be out catching Tailed Beasts as pets.

Ninja Academy

Yun stared at the battered big kids lying in the infirmary.

His head hurt.

According to the clone's memories, everything was justified—but how did it escalate into beating the entire upper grade?

This felt less like ninja training and more like boxing an elementary school.

He touched his wallet anxiously.

Then he glanced at Itachi.

Former clan head's son—surely he wasn't poor, right?

Itachi immediately understood the look.

"Don't look at me," he whispered. "I didn't beat them all, and I don't have money."

BANG!

The infirmary door slammed open.

A group of chūnin and jōnin rushed in, comforting their kids—then shooting death glares at the two Uchihas.

The clone's mess, the original's bill.

Absolutely outrageous.

Yun sighed, pulled out his wallet.

Beside him, Itachi whispered,

"I'll teach you a simplified calculation method for shuriken trajectories if you pay."

You little snake.

After compensation and apologies, they were finally released from the teachers' lectures.

Then Yun spotted familiar faces.

Iruka Umino.

Mizuki.

One laughed awkwardly, asking how Yun trained to get so strong.

The other smiled on the surface—but his eyes held resentment.

Outside the academy, Yun said to Itachi,

"This whole thing started because they wanted revenge on you. If I didn't share your surname, they wouldn't have touched me."

Itachi nodded.

"I'll teach you the technique. I promise."

After a pause—

Yun asked, "Itachi… are you poor?"

Itachi looked away.

"The police force's funding comes from the village. When Father was alive, every expense had to be calculated carefully."

"The clan district is large but remote. Business isn't good."

Yun understood.

That explained why the Uchiha were always in debt to the Cat Granny…

And why Shisui had gifted Itachi ninja tools.

Money.

A quiet but lethal problem.

At Itachi's Home

A toddler wobbled at the doorframe, peeking outside.

"Oh?" Yun grinned. "So this is your little brother—Sasuke?"

Itachi's smile vanished instantly.

"Why are you still here?"

Yun pointed calmly.

"He wet himself. Aren't you going to change him?"

Itachi looked down—

The pants were soaked. A few drops hit the ground.

"I'll get clothes. Watch him."

As Itachi rushed inside, he failed to notice—

Yun's evil hands approaching the precious Second Pillar.

"WAAAHHH—!"

The one-year-old could only cry loudly.

Moments later, Itachi and Mikoto returned—

And Itachi nearly drew his blade.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

Yun replied casually,

"When kids wet themselves and don't behave, shouldn't you flick them a bit?"

Itachi snatched Sasuke back instantly, murderous intent blazing.

"Itachi, that was rude," Mikoto scolded.

But her eyes clearly said: We'll talk later.

Declining the dinner invitation, Yun smiled at the peeking Sasuke—

Who immediately cried harder.

Satisfied, Yun left.

Back home, a glass bottle sat on the table.

Inside—

a small lock of Sasuke's hair.

…Hopefully hair works.

Next time, maybe blood would be better.
