Chapter 6 - coming together (6)

He flew around aimlessly as he let his thoughts wander.

As he was in his thoughts, once again he felt his body jolt and went stiff. He thought he was going to lose consciousness again, but instead, he was simply brought inside his conscious space by Samuel. If anyone were to look at him right now, he looked like he was peacefully sleeping or meditating while floating in the air. Back in his conscious space, he looked around and saw himself sitting on a throne with a crown on his head and a sword in his arms.

We finally meet face to face. Samuel said with arrogance and confidence messsing up his pure innocent face.

Looking at him angrily Sam replied, "Don't go around doing whatever you want to my face or body. What are you exactly?" He questioned

"Me I'm demon king Muzak you mere insect, bow before my exalted presen-ack" He choked on his spit as he was forcefully making his voice deeper.

"Alright alright imma stop messing around" He mused as he got off the throne and walked towards Sam.

"I am you Sam, and you are me. You created me remember"

"No I don't"

"Don't call my Mom a whore you monkey! Does that ring a bell? I was created by you, by your wrath, your anxiety, your desire to kill, and most importantly your desire to protect"

"I am you Sam, or rather I'm the you who gets pissed off. You do realize we are in a world where it's kill or be killed right? How about we work together hmm?"

Sam looked at himself thinking but saying nothing. What does this thing want? Is it actually me? I was diagnosed with D.ID, so I guess he isn't wrong.

"If I created you, then I can also destroy you; problem solved.

"What problem!!? I'm not a problem! Hey, you punk how dare you say that? I'm supposed to be your wrathful nature, but here you are talking about destroying me, go ahead you peaceful monk, let's see where you get without me" He forcefully pushed Sam back out of the conscious realm. Sam upon opening his eyes closed them right back and tried re-entering said realm.

He would be damned if he let something he so-called created boss him around, regardless of whether he's always angry or not.

After three minutes of trying to go back into his mind space he finally got in, but what he saw was beyond his expectations.

Sitting crunched up in a corner was himself crying while dwindling his finger on the ground, "How dare that punk call me a problem; I'm a byproduct of his wrath. How dare he treat me like an obstacle, fucking bitch! How dare he hate me!!"

"I didn't say I hate you"

"Eeeeck" Samuel squealed in surprise

"I mean, uhum," He cleared his throat in embarrassment.

"What are you doing back here? Didn't I expel you?"

"It's my body, my mind, and you're my creation as you said. You have no power over me. I do find what you said interesting, and seeing as I can come to this space as I please means you're surely not lying." He paused for a moment letting his "wrathful" self soak in what he's saying.

"I don't think an alliance is a bad idea. The last thing I want is to be in a fight and have you hijack my body and jeopardize my situations"

"Calling it an alliance is a stretch. We're literally the same being how can you be allied to yourself use common sense idiot"

"If I can't be allied to myself so how are we arguing right now?" Asked Sam smugly.

Samuel was sure his counterpart was trying to rage bait him, but knowing himself he didn't give him the reaction he wanted.

Instead, he stood up and looked Sam in the eye, "You also need to allow me to control the body, it's not only yours."

"If we can both be in here at once, reasonably we should also be able to both control our body at once" Sam thought aloud.

"We just gotta figure out how"

"How did you get out of this space the first time?"

"I pushed that button over there" pointed Samuel towards a button that was lodged firmly into a desk sitting in front of a TV.

"Hmm… interesting… I did the same thing to regain consciousness. If that button is the means of our separation, then destroying it should destroy the veil separating us, what do you think?"

"Risky and stupid. Aren't you just looking for ways to kill me without saying so, you sly fox"

"Ughhh" Sam sighed as he walked over to the button with Samuel right on his heels.

"Don't you dare try anything sudden monk. I won't let you destroy that botton"

"Well, do you have any other ideas?" Sam waited for Samuel to respond but got nothing in return, "Thought so" he said as he moved towards the button once again.

As he was about to pick the table up to smash it to oblivion Samuel manifested a wooden pole and slapped him across the back with it sending him away from the table.

Sam got up with a serious look on his face. He looked at his hands and imagined a saber. The saber manifested except where Samuel's pole was wooden, Sam's saber was metal; he was serious.

"You either let me destroy that button or destroy you" he said approaching the button one last time.

Samuel stepped in front of him declaring, "We don't know what risk that poses; I can't have you do that"

"…" Sam charged his counterpart with murderous intent. He swung the saber, albeit amateurishly as he never wielded a sword before.

Samuel put up his wooden pole to block, which was split in half the instant the two connected. Seeing as he had no choice he manifested a metal pole this time, taking a stance.

The two charged each other saber vs pole, wrath vs determination. The two clashed and collided, coming together in a harmonious destruction.
