Chapter 281 - Chapter 281: Becoming a God

Hela's expression turned serious.

"Not even mentioning other beings—just consider the lords of the Hell dimensions."

"I'm sure you've already experienced how despicable, shameless, and cunning they can be."

"If they ever set their sights on your divine domain, then anyone around you—anyone connected to you—will become their target."

"They will use every possible method to extract memories from them."

"They won't hesitate to do anything if it helps them discover the location of your domain."

"Never underestimate their patience."

"The demon lords of Hell have one thing in endless supply—time."

"They will slowly scheme to seize your domain."

"After all, sometimes they wait ten thousand years or even hundreds of thousands of years before encountering a new divine domain."

"And for them, since their own domains are already enormous and fully developed, devouring others is practically the only way left to grow stronger."

Lucas narrowed his eyes slightly.

It wasn't that he doubted Hela's words.

In fact, he was completely certain that the bastards in Hell would absolutely do something like that.

He frowned and asked,

"So… can a divine domain move freely?"

"After all, its original owner isn't even dead yet."

Hela reassured him.

"Don't worry."

"A divine domain naturally exists in a state of relative motion within higher-dimensional space."

"It isn't fixed in one location."

"So you don't need to worry about its former owner finding it again."

"That's basically impossible."

"But you still need to be careful."

"Although higher-dimensional space appears boundless, strange phenomena can still occur."

"For example, some gods send out avatars to wander endlessly through those dimensions."

"If they're extremely lucky, they might stumble upon your domain."

"The probability is ridiculously small—but it's still something you should guard against."

Lucas nodded in understanding.

Then another question came to mind.

"Asgard is your divine domain," he said.

"But why is your domain located in the material universe?"

"Wouldn't that make it vulnerable to others who might covet it?"

Hela replied calmly,

"First of all, Asgard is not an ordinary divine domain."

"It's difficult to explain everything in just a few sentences."

"You only need to understand one thing."

"Asgard has many unique properties."

"For example, Asgard carries the blessing of a Supreme God."

"Just that alone is enough to deter Hell lords and dimensional entities from interfering."

"I see."

Lucas nodded with realization.

"No wonder Asgard feels so different."

Then another thought occurred to him.

"In that case, why do you still worry about Ragnarök?"

Hela sighed.

"That's because Surtur also belongs to a race blessed by that same Supreme God."

"And since his race is extremely rare, each individual inherits a greater portion of that power."

"So he has the ability to destroy Asgard itself."

Lucas nodded again.

Now everything made sense.

Hela continued,

"Alright. Since you've successfully obtained your divine domain, we can return to Earth."

Lucas blinked.

"How… do we go back?"

Hela paused.

"Oh right, I forgot you're not familiar with this yet."

She thought for about two seconds before asking,

"Did you leave a spatial coordinate marker on Earth?"

Lucas thought for a moment and shook his head.

Hela frowned slightly.

"Then close your eyes and focus."

"See if you can sense anything on Earth that you're familiar with."

Lucas closed his eyes and concentrated.

Soon enough, he sensed two powerful and extremely familiar energies.

Hela saw the expression on his face and knew he had succeeded.

"Good."

"Now imagine your divine domain as your home."

"And imagine there's a door you can open whenever you want."

"That door should connect to the location you just sensed."

"And since you possess the Space Stone, it should be even easier for you."

The moment Hela finished speaking—

Lucas disappeared.

"?"

A question mark practically appeared over Hela's head.

---

Meanwhile, back on Earth…

Clark was helping rescue teams clear the massive ruins of New York City.

He had just lifted a huge bundle of debris weighing hundreds of tons, preparing to move it to a designated area.

Suddenly—

A figure appeared beside him.

"Lucas?"

The moment the figure appeared, Clark instinctively prepared for battle.

The massive load of debris slipped from his hands and slammed into the ground with a deafening crash.

After all, it hadn't been long since Lucas had fought the Skrull god.

Clark was still in a combat-ready state.

"…Did I just teleport?"

Lucas looked around in surprise.

He had followed Hela's instructions, imagining the door connecting to Earth.

At that exact moment, the Space Stone on his left hand had reacted instantly.

Before he could even process it—

He was already here.

The result was clearly spatial teleportation.

Lucas knew the Space Stone had that ability.

He had tried using it before, but it hadn't worked.

Yet now it had activated effortlessly.

"Could it be…"

"Because I reached Super Saiyan 2, I've unlocked more of the Space Stone's power?"

Lucas thought to himself.

"Lucas?"

Clark stepped closer and called again.

"Huh?"

Lucas snapped back to reality.

"How did the battle with the Skrull god end?" Clark asked immediately.

Lucas smiled and patted Clark on the shoulder.

"Well, I'm standing here perfectly fine, aren't I?"

"So obviously I beat him."

"Unfortunately, I didn't manage to kill him. He escaped."

"That's good," Clark said with relief.

"But unfortunately the entire city of New York was destroyed because of that battle."

"At least this time almost no civilians were injured."

Lucas wrapped an arm around Clark's shoulders.

"Clark, if we hadn't acted early, things would have been far worse."

"Then it wouldn't just be one city that was destroyed."

"And you saw it yourself—I tried to avoid using large-scale destructive attacks."

"Otherwise, even New York alone wouldn't have been able to withstand the fight."

Clark nodded.

He understood that Lucas was right.

If they had truly fought without restraint, all of America might not have survived the battle.

Just then—

A voice suddenly echoed in Lucas's mind.

"Lucas, the king wishes to speak with you."

It was Heimdall.

"Wait… oh no!"

Lucas suddenly realized something.

Hela was still inside his divine domain.

Without waiting any longer, Lucas focused his thoughts.

A thin crack suddenly appeared in the space before him.

The crack expanded into a spatial portal.

Moments later, Hela stepped out of it.

"Uh… sorry about that," Lucas said awkwardly.

Hela shook her head calmly.

"It's fine."

"I understand."

"After all, you just obtained a divine domain."

"You're practically a God now."
