Chapter 29 - Chapter 29 The Three Sun Gods

Chapter 29 The Three Sun Gods

The material universe was riddled with holes after the Dawn War. Fragments of broken minor planes floated on the edge of the astral plane, chaos permeated the air, and the extinguished sun plunged the entire Toril universe into darkness and cold.

This catastrophe caused a near-total mass extinction. Almost 100% of life perished in the war, but fortunately, under divine protection, all species survived.

The reason why the continent of Faerûn was not completely destroyed was entirely due to the efforts of the gods to maintain it.

Suren and the goddess of magic created a temporary light source, while Mother Earth used all her power to stabilize the structure of the continent.

After the war, Suren immediately led the gods to begin the cleanup work. Many gods spontaneously participated in repairing the damage caused by the war.

The primary task was to reignite the sun. Suren, Mother Earth Chantia, and the goddess of magic Mysriel joined forces and went to the place where the sun was.

The sun before them had completely died out, leaving only a huge, cold sphere. The three goddesses poured their divine power into it, attempting to reignite it.

The process was extremely difficult because Suren's essence was damaged and he was far less powerful than when he created the sun.

The sun's core was severely damaged, and conventional methods were ineffective. Just as they were struggling with this, an unexpected change occurred.

Strange fluctuations suddenly occurred inside the sun, and the originally singular divinity of the sun god began to split.

Under the combined influence of the three goddesses, the divinity of the sun was divided into three, forming three independent yet interconnected divine persons.

The first divine being represented the dawn and new life, transforming into the renowned Lord of the Dawn, Losanda.

As the god of dawn, he radiates a warm and gentle light, symbolizing hope and beginnings.

The second deity represents noon and judgment, which coalesce into a completely new god.

He had a dignified face and sharp eyes, and held the scales and scepter symbolizing absolute justice.

"I am Amun-Ra," the new god proclaimed, "the ruler of noon, of judgment, and of law."

The third deity represents dusk and harvest, and is depicted as a gentle goddess.

She was surrounded by golden ears of wheat and the glow of the setting sun, holding a scroll that recorded wisdom in her hands.

"I am Muria," the goddess said softly, "the guardian, the wisdom of twilight, harvest, and sedimentation."

The three sun gods were born at the same time, forming a brand new triad of sun gods.

The sun in the universe was then reignited, but it was no longer a single source of light; instead, it had a natural cycle of sunrise, noon, and sunset.

Losanda reigns over dawn, bringing a new beginning to the world; Amonrael governs noon, upholding order and justice; Muria guards dusk, witnessing harvest and sedimentation.

This change made the universe operate more naturally and harmoniously. Living things adjusted their routines according to the sun's movement, forming the cycle of day and night.

Ling Hao observed this change and analyzed it through the system interface:

[The Solar Triad Pantheon is established, sunrise and sunset are formed, cosmic order stability +30%, biological adaptability +25%]

Most deities welcomed this change. The regularity of the sun's orbit restored stability to the universe, aiding in post-war reconstruction.

As the sun rose again, the gods began a full-scale restoration effort.

The goddess of magic, Mysriel, repaired the astral rift and reassembled the shattered fragments of the plane.

Mother Earth, Saturnia, stabilizes the continents and repairs the damage caused by earthquakes and fissures.

As the newly born Metal Dragon God, Ling Hao begins to plan the creation of the future dragon race.

He envisioned metal dragons assisting in the world's reconstruction, using magical abilities to aid intelligent races.

Tiamat, as the goddess of dragons, was also devising her creation plan. She wanted to create five powerful and greedy dragons, so that they could compete for territory and wealth and become the rulers of the world.

Through the combined efforts of the gods, the universe gradually regained its vitality. New life began to emerge, and the flame of civilization was rekindled.

But the effects of the war are far from over. The aura of chaos still pollutes many areas, requiring a long period of purification. Some remote planes have been completely destroyed and cannot be restored.

Shar was closely observing all of this from the shadow plane. The Goddess of Darkness was deeply dissatisfied with the new solar pantheon, especially with the existence of Muria, who directly opposed her promotion of the ideology of oblivion.

"Twilight will eventually turn to night," Shar whispered in the shadows, "Let you enjoy the light for a while."

Ling Hao detected the abnormal fluctuations in the shadow plane through the system and reminded the gods to be vigilant.

"Shah will not give up easily," he warned the council of gods. "We must strengthen our defenses."

Amonlar agreed: "A more robust legal system is needed to prevent the spread of chaos."

Muria added, "We also need to preserve knowledge to prevent history from repeating itself."

Suren concluded, "We will keep a close eye on the Shadow Plane. For now, let's focus on the reconstruction."

The reconstruction lasted for centuries. The universe gradually returned to its former prosperity, but many places were forever changed.

New geographical features have emerged on the continent of Faerûn: the Star Mountains are the marks left by battle, the Chaos Sea pollutes vast areas of the ocean, and the Dragonspine Plains are a transformation caused by the battles of dragons.

Ling Hao continuously monitored the state of the universe through the system interface. The data showed that although the recovery was progressing well, the dangers of chaotic contamination still existed, and the threat from the shadow plane had not been eliminated.

"Peace is temporary," Ling Hao thought to himself. "We must prepare for the future."

He began stockpiling resources and establishing an early warning system to prepare for the dragon race he was about to create.

Furthermore, according to memories from a past life, a major upheaval is about to occur in the Toril universe. This upheaval may even affect the primordial gods.

Although Tiamat laughed at him for worrying unnecessarily, she secretly collected precious materials—she didn't want to fall behind when creating dragons.
