Chapter 14 - Chapter 14:confluence of the apex

Derrick stopped pretending his abilities were separate.

That fiction had been useful early

categories, names, modular thinking. But after consuming worlds, variants, and entire evolutionary trees, he understood the truth: all power wanted to converge.

Redundancy was inefficiency. Inefficiency was waste.

So he fused.

Not hurriedly. Not recklessly. Over months of internal recalibration, Derrick collapsed every overlapping function into singular authorities domains of control rather than collections of tricks.

His internal architecture simplified as it ascended, becoming less like a creature and more like a system.

When he finished, the noise inside him went quiet.

ANALYTICAL CONFLUENCE – FUSED DOMAINS

1. Apex Physiology (Absolute Biology)

All strength, durability, regeneration, density, and adaptability—human, quirked, Viltrumite, alien—merged into a unified biological supremacy.

Momentum amplification (Viltrumite), mass compression (Blacklight), and adaptive evolution resolved into one rule:

If it exists physically, Derrick can outscale it.

2. Hyper-Temporal Dominion (Speed & Time Interaction)

Every speed-based quirk, reaction enhancer, time-dilation effect, and perception acceleration fused into temporal authorship. Derrick no longer "moves fast."

He decides when things happen relative to himself.

3. Spatial & Dimensional Authority

Teleportation, warping, gravity manipulation, folded space, pocket dimensions collapsed into a sovereign domain. Derrick owns a personal continuum and can invade others. Distance, universes, and boundaries are permissions he grants or revokes.

4. Elemental & Energetic Sovereignty

All elemental manipulation fused into primal transmutation. Fire, plasma, cold, radiation, electricity, exotic energies—no longer elements, but states of matter he can rewrite.

5. Cognitive & Informational Predation

Memories, skills, instincts, cultures, languages, sciences.

Derrick does not learn he absorbs civilizations. Resistance to mind control, telepathy, reality perception all folded into omnidirectional awareness.

6. Viral Genesis (Blacklight Prime)

Blacklight was no longer a virus. It was infrastructure. Derrick could seed, retract, weaponize, or erase life on a planetary scale at will.

With the Invincibles consumed, Derrick's mass passed thresholds no longer measured in tons.

Imagine the Mc as a needle dense enough to pierce through multiple planets whilst continuing to increase in momentum....

He reached planetary feasibility.

He tested it once hovering above an uninhabited world, extending his gravity and biomass fields simultaneously. The biosphere folded inward like breath pulled from lungs. Oceans rose. Forests collapsed. In hours, an entire planet's biological mass belonged to him.

Earth remained.

For now.

Instead, Derrick chose patience.

THE THIRTY-YEAR CONSUMPTION

The Near Systems

Derrick stripped nearby star systems of sentient life first testing resistance patterns. Warrior cultures fell quickly. Hive minds lasted longer. Energy-based species were fascinating, their biomass converted into exotic substrates.

The Galactic Powers

Empires burned. Derrick learned diplomacy briefly, using it to gather populations efficiently before consumption. He refined methods to absorb entire civilizations without alerting neighbors.

The Old Races

Ancient beings, star-gods, relic species that predated Viltrum. Some fought. Some begged. Some tried to bargain with secrets of creation. Derrick took everything.

By the end of thirty years, the universe was quiet.

His internal mass surpassed billions of tons, stabilized through dimensional compression. He no longer bent reality accidentally. Reality bent politely. As he returned to the timeline levy found him in...

...

That was when Omni-Man returned.

Nolan arrived expecting a conquered Earth.

He found a god.

Their battle did not last long. Nolan's momentum-fed strength was monstrous but Derrick had already learned that lesson.

He absorbed Nolan mid-charge, converting velocity into biomass, pride into silence.

From Nolan's mind, Derrick took coordinates.

Viltrum.

He arrived as a shadow eclipsing stars.

He began with the dead ancient corpses orbiting the planet, remnants of past purges I started slowly then quickly once the scurge virus was adapted and nullified .

Then the living noticed him. War erupted, or more like a massacre.

Derrick consumed his way through fleets, cities, bloodlines.

Thragg fought like a god.

Derrick fought like inevitability.

When it ended, Viltrum was empty.

Derrick stood alone, mass stabilized in the tens of billions approaching the hundreds of billions , his presence enough to distort star light.

At the edge of the universe, he paused.

Two paths unfolded in his perception:

The X-Men multiverse , mutation, evolution, cosmic absurdity.

...

The DC multiverse gods pretending to be symbols.

Derrick smiled.

"Which one," he wondered aloud,

"will teach me something new?"

And then he chose.
