...
"What are yo-"
"don't throw it away."
She stood with her chest puffed out and eyes glaring.
I was lost for words when, suddenly, a door slid open and a tall man walked out.
"Kuzumi-san. Miya-kun." He glanced between us.
We straightened up.
"Is everything alright?"
"Yes," I bowed, "we were on our way to class."
I glanced at Kuzumi and she just looked away.
The man stared at us for a moment then nodded.
I started off, her footsteps echoing behind.
We both took a right and stopped down the stairs.
Looked each other in the eye, her hair glowing in the light.
"Why?" she asked.
"Why what?"
"Don't be stupid."
"But I'm not." I walked past her, down the stairs and she grabbed my hand.
"Why'd you try to throw it away?"
"That's not your business." I tried to shrug her hand off but her grip was too tight.
"Even if! She wrote that for you!" she pulled.
I looked back at her. "You stalking me now?"
"No, bu- cough, cough!" she let go of my arm and staggered back coughing continuously into her elbow.
She tried to speak but the cough didn't seem to let off. I watched her crawl into a corner as she glared at me with her teary eyes.
