100 P.S -1 Bonus chapter

David examined the impressive data displayed before him. Indeed, Riolu's potential was close to Zorua's, but their aptitudes differed significantly. Zorua's talents leaned more toward the special side, while Riolu's were geared toward balanced, all-around development.

He would need to carefully devise a proper training plan for Riolu next.

However, a Pokémon in its newborn stage certainly couldn't begin formal training yet. David wasn't one of those trainers who disregarded common sense for quick results. It was best to let Riolu play and adjust to the world for a while first!

Since Riolu had just fallen asleep, David wasn't in a hurry to catch it in a Poké Ball yet. He picked up Zorua, who had finished its training session, and sat back down at the table. Picking up a pen, he began pondering a dietary plan for Riolu. Then, he continued modifying the training schedule he'd set earlier—Zorua's diet also needed updating with the new additions.

After a while, once David had organized all the details, he took Zorua and headed toward the dining hall, leaving Riolu to sleep peacefully. After all, this private VIP training room was exclusively reserved for his use, so there was no need to worry about anyone else coming in.

In the cafeteria, David gave Zorua a new meal based on the revised diet plan. As he watched Zorua eat enthusiastically, he continued pondering training matters while eating his own lunch.

The one kilogram of wild Salac Berries he'd obtained from the previous lottery draw had already been incorporated into the new meal plan. At a standard of twenty grams per meal, this kilogram of Salac Berries would last for approximately half a month. However, now with Riolu joining the team, once Riolu left its newborn stage, this amount of Salac Berries wouldn't be enough for two Pokémon. David certainly couldn't show favoritism between his partners, so it seemed he needed to find a solution soon.

Suddenly, David, who was deep in thought, seemed to remember something and quickly opened the system interface.

[Host: David]

[Rank: Novice Trainer]

[Pokémon: Zorua (Hisuian Form), Riolu (Newborn)]

[Achievement Points: 1,060]

[Functions: Pokédex, Shop, Missions & Achievements, Lottery...]

David opened the Shop function and searched for "wild Salac Berry." Among the system's features, the Shop was the only one he hadn't used yet. When the system first activated, he had browsed through it briefly. There were indeed excellent items available, but they were far too expensive. He couldn't afford what he truly wanted, and what he could afford, he could obtain easily enough in his daily life, making the Shop seem rather useless.

However, now was a good opportunity to see if he could find wild Salac Berries there.

After conducting his search, two pieces of news appeared before David. The good news was that the system's Shop did stock wild Salac Berries, and he could actually afford them. The bad news was that while they were available, the price wasn't exactly cheap—a small portion of wild Salac Berries (two hundred grams) cost fifty achievement points.

The previous ten-pull lottery had essentially depleted his points, leaving him with only a few hundred remaining. It was only a few days ago, by cleverly defeating his older sister in battle and earning the victory reward, that his points had surpassed one thousand again.

This meant that even if he spent all his current points, he could only purchase twenty portions of wild Salac Berries. While this seemed like a substantial amount, it only totaled four kilograms, which would last his two partners approximately one month at most.

But what choice did he have? Buy them, of course! He couldn't shortchange his own Pokémon's nutrition and development. With these four kilograms in stock, it would at least be barely sufficient until school started. It seemed he needed to find ways to earn more achievement points going forward.

Looking at the points on his panel, which had once again been reduced to nearly zero, David shook his head helplessly.

Soon after finishing lunch, David and Zorua returned to the training room with packaged food for Riolu.

Newly hatched Pokémon have rapidly developing bones and require adequate calcium supplementation. Marowak bone powder was the optimal choice for this, but it looked like he would need to make a trip to the specialty pharmacy at the shopping center. This particular supplement was generally reserved for medicinal purposes, and regular stores wouldn't stock it.

Pushing open the training room door, a cheerful "Ri... olu~" cry rang out.

It turned out that Riolu had already woken up and had been anxiously searching for him. Now, finally seeing David and Zorua return, it immediately rushed toward him with surprising speed for a newborn.

Seeing this, David quickly reached out and scooped Riolu up into his arms.

"Ri... olu~"

"Riolu!"

"Alright, alright, I understand. I just saw you were sleeping so soundly! I wanted you to get proper rest. Don't worry—I'll definitely take you with me whenever I go out from now on, okay?"

The little one complained softly in his arms, and David could only gently stroke Riolu's fur, comforting it with a soothing voice.

After Riolu's mood stabilized, he carefully set it down on the floor and then formally introduced himself again.

"Riolu, my name is David. From now on, I will be your Trainer."

"This is Zorua. I've already introduced you two earlier. Zorua is my first Pokémon partner. From now on, you're both teammates, so please get along well together!"

"Riolu!"

Listening to David's words, Riolu stood upright with a serious expression, nodded earnestly, and then extended one small paw forward. David understood its intention immediately and extended his own hand, while his other hand gently held Zorua's paw. The three companions' hands overlapped together in a symbolic gesture of partnership. Looking at Riolu's small but determined figure, one could already glimpse hints of its future potential as an Aura user.

David took out an empty Poké Ball and tossed it gently toward Riolu. Its reaction was exactly the same as Zorua's had been—there was no resistance whatsoever. The Poké Ball didn't even shake once before the capture was confirmed with a satisfying click.

However, most Pokémon hatched and raised by a trainer themselves naturally behave this way, forming an instinctive bond with the first person who cares for them. What was relatively rare was David's experience with Zorua—capturing a wild Pokémon directly through trust and friendship without requiring any battle.

"Come out, Riolu!"

After a flash of red light, Riolu's figure materialized before him once more.

Grumble...

"Ri... olu~"

Before anyone could say anything, Riolu's stomach rumbled loudly. Hearing the embarrassing sound, Riolu's face flushed with a light pink tint, and it let out a shy cry.

David smiled warmly and patted his partner's head. "It's perfectly fine. Zorua and I brought lunch back for you. You're growing rapidly now, so you need to eat plenty."

"Zorua~"

Zorua, standing at David's side, pushed the bag containing lunch over and placed it directly in front of Riolu, signaling for it to eat quickly.

Looking gratefully at both David and Zorua, Riolu opened the lunch packaging. Perhaps because it was exceptionally hungry, Riolu took an enthusiastic bite of an egg, nearly choking itself in the process. It then grabbed the bottle of Moomoo Milk and gulped it down eagerly.

David, feeling both amused and concerned, gently patted Riolu's back. "Eat slowly, there's no rush. I have plenty more food prepared. It's good to eat well while you're growing, but try not to eat too quickly all at once. Small, frequent meals throughout the day are much healthier."

Hearing David's gentle advice, Riolu consciously slowed down its eating pace. However, the lunch portion wasn't particularly large—just one nutritious egg and one bottle of Moomoo Milk—and it was finished relatively quickly despite the slower speed.

After Riolu completed its meal, David checked his phone. It was already 1:30 PM. Since he didn't plan to conduct any serious training today, he called both the well-fed Riolu and Zorua to rest in the lounge area for a short while.

He conveniently summoned a Corviknight taxi through his phone app, planning to take both of his young partners to the shopping center for supplies.
