Chapter 197 - Chapter 197: I’ve Found My Accomplice

"Wahahaha… Look what I found!"

"Hiss, you found something good?"

"Right? With Brother Dao gone, and so many people getting caught again, today it's my turn to deliver the food!"

At that moment, March 7th was smugly pulling out her phone, video-calling a certain someone named Zeig.

Zeig narrowed his eyes, looking at the pitch-black mass on the other end of the call, and asked in confusion:

"So, what exactly are you showing me in this pitch darkness? Your shiny bald head?"

"Huh? You can't see clearly over there?"

"What do you think?"

"…"

Snap—

March 7th lit a small candle and held it in front of the rear camera, asking Zeig:

"Can you see now?"

"I can see. Your fingers are really white and slender—why not chop them off? That candle's light is so weak—what's the point? Showing me your fingers?"

"…"

Hearing the bickering between the two nearby, Natasha weakly lifted her head and looked over.

It was a red-haired loser holding a phone and a candle, currently on a call with someone.

Her wide-eyed, furious expression looked like someone who dropped out of elementary school to run with gangs—definitely the negative example in any classroom.

Click.

Natasha turned on her flashlight, shining it on March 7th's pathetic candle, and said in a low voice:

"Now that you're delivering food to me, do you have to deliberately drag it out to torture me too?"

"Ah… Sorry, sorry!"

March 7th hurriedly tossed the candle aside, stuffed the phone back in her pocket, picked up the tray of food from the ground, and slid it through the reserved gap into Natasha's iron cage.

"…"

As usual, every time she ate, Natasha would ask one thing:

"How are the children doing now?"

"Children? I haven't had time to have any yet."

"Hm?"

Natasha looked strangely at this redhead and said with disdain:

"Your mental state seems a bit off. Did you catch some weird infection or something?"

"Hah?"

"I'm asking about the kids fostered at my clinic—how are they now?"

"Oh, how would I know."

"…"

Through the video call, Zeig clearly heard March 7th's idiotic reply and was instantly speechless.

Couldn't you just go along with what she's saying?

"You mean… they're already dead?" Natasha glared at March 7th, her gaze turning dangerous.

That glare made March 7th's heart skip a beat for no reason, and she hurriedly explained:

"Uh, what I mean is… I'm new here. I don't even know where the kids you're talking about are, or even who you are."

"Is that so?"

Natasha sized up March 7th's appearance—it really did seem like she'd never seen her before—so she asked curiously:

"What about the guy who used to deliver my food? Dead?"

"Nope, not dead. He's probably locked up in the big jail by the Silvermane Guards now."

"Did he fail a mission?"

"No, we set him up."

"…"

Natasha pursed her cherry lips, repeatedly sizing up this red-haired broomhead—she seemed kind of dumb.

"You too… took that pill?" Natasha asked tentatively.

"Pill? Ohhh… that thing. Yeah, I ate it. Doesn't taste very good."

"…"

After hearing this answer, Natasha finally sighed and let out a low voice:

"You don't want to live anymore either? I've always thought… what you people are doing actually has no meaning. This won't make Belobog any better. Moths flying into flames and giving up on yourselves can't save anything."

She didn't know exactly how long she'd been captured, but a rough estimate put it at around a month or so.

During this time, the people in the cave kept changing.

Aside from a few with strong abilities, basically everyone who came to Natasha for treatment would be replaced after a while.

"Huh."

Suddenly, March 7th noticed Zeig had stopped talking and was now typing messages to her instead.

Staring at the message Zeig sent on the screen, March 7th slightly raised her head and asked knowingly:

"Oh? You wouldn't happen to be that super famous Doctor Natasha from Boulder Town, would you?"

"I'm not exactly super famous. I just want to do what little I can."

"Can I ask you a few questions?"

"…Go ahead."

"Great."

March 7th sat cross-legged. Under the light of Natasha's flashlight in the iron cage, she pulled out paper and a pen from her pocket and asked:

"Name."

"…"

"Name!"

"Natasha."

Scribble scribble scribble—

March 7th wrote on the paper.

"…"

"Gender."

"…"

"Gender!"

"Can't you tell just by looking?"

"Hurry up and say it! Say it out loud!"

"Female."

Scribble scribble scribble—

"…"

"How did you end up here?"

"I was tricked here by you people."

"Why were you making that drug?"

"You threatened me with the kids from my clinic."

"Where are those kids?"

"Of course in your hands. I don't know the exact location."

"Married or not."

"No."

"What's your favorite constellation?"

"…"

"Do you like kittens or puppies?"

"…"

About three hours later.

A few middle-aged men wrapped in rags stormed up behind March 7th, cursing loudly:

"Hey! We told you to deliver food—are you planning to move in here or what?"

Hearing the commotion behind her, March 7th rolled up the three-meter-long paper scroll and silently tucked it away.

Then she panicked and ran toward the three people behind her:

"Dinner's done~ No time to chat! Those little brats have gone haywire!"

"What? What kind of bird language are you speaking?"

"I understood—she said the kids escaped!"

"Huh?"

"For real?"

Natasha in the cage was also completely dumbfounded when she heard.

"It's true! We've been tricked! The ones guarding the kids now are spies! This doctor won't treat us anymore—we don't have leverage over her anymore!"

The three of them panicked instantly upon hearing this.

Because of their special identities, they absolutely couldn't go without a doctor.

"Hmph, so what if they ran? Just catch them back! We'll take people to grab them right now! A few little brats—how far can they run?!"

With the matter being serious, the group quickly gathered and hurriedly rushed out of the cave.

March 7th watched their retreating figures, silently walked back to Natasha's side, grabbed a rock, and started smashing the lock furiously!

Bang—Bang—Bang!!

Each smash made the entire lock—and the iron cage—tremble violently. In the airtight cave, the sound was even more intense, like a steel beast roaring wildly!

Natasha covered her ears and shouted loudly: "What are you doing?"

"Getting you out, duh!"

"Are you sure? Before you smash the lock open, they'll come running from the noise and beat you to death?!"

"It's fine. I've found my accomplice."

"?"

At that moment, outside the cave.

A blond guy holding a long sword slowly stepped into the cave.

His gaze was condescending. After casually scanning around, he arrogantly raised his sword and pointed it at the crowd ahead.

"Surrender, and you'll suffer less."
