Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Fleet Admiral Sengoku: I'm a father to the Celestial Dragons!

The reason the Marine has been able to dominate the seas for so many years is because they possess a complete and systematic military structure.

Among them, the medical system is also very developed.

A brief comparison between the Marine and pirates reveals the significance contained within.

As rivals of the same era, in their old age, Whitebeard suffered from various illnesses, having to rely on IV drips to sustain his life, and Golden Lion had a ship's rudder stuck in his head for over twenty years without being able to remove it. In contrast, what about the Marine side?

Garp ate rice crackers and donuts every day, completely unafraid of developing high blood pressure, high blood sugar, or high cholesterol.

Sengoku even had the leisure to raise a small goat. Neither of them seemed to have any health issues, let alone need IV drips.

Only Zephyr was somewhat unlucky, contracting asthma and losing an arm, which made his strength seem to decline significantly.

But from another perspective, when he hadn't yet left the Marine, when his arm was broken, the Marine even researched and installed a powered mechanical arm for him.

This 'after-sales' maintenance and care in retirement were infinitely superior to what pirates received. Golden Lion probably envied them to death.

At this moment, Dante was enjoying such treatment.

It had to be said, this warship was indeed an Admiral's flagship; its configuration was extremely high, and the medical personnel were direct Devil Fruit ability users of the healing type. After a series of operations, Dante was already seventy to eighty percent recovered.

All that remained was a few days of rest, and he would be fully recovered.

Lying on the sickbed, Dante still felt somewhat incredulous.

Things had gone too smoothly; this assessment was too casual. Before he could even react, he had already passed?

Thinking of this, he looked at the Nagasone Kotetsu, his treasured sword, placed by the bedside.

He had gone to great lengths to acquire this 21 Great Grade Blades famous sword to maximize his strength, but in the end, its practical use wasn't significant.

And he had unnecessarily offended the Donquixote Family.

However, Dante didn't regret anything. Making thorough preparations before events occurred had always been one of his tenets.

He hadn't known how the Officer Training Camp assessment would be conducted, so it was normal for him to arrange more measures beforehand.

As for Doflamingo, it didn't matter. Did he have the guts to come to Marineford to cause trouble for him?

Finally, even though he didn't have the same stubbornness towards swordsmanship as ordinary swordsmen, it was still very good to have a famous sword ranked among the 21 Works by his side.

It was a win-win!

Just as Dante was thinking about these miscellaneous things, his ward door was quietly pushed open a crack.

Upon hearing the movement, Dante thought it was either Zephyr or Fleet Admiral Sengoku, so he quickly perked up, even preparing to get out of bed to show respect.

In reality, Dante's self-assessment was quite realistic.

He wouldn't think that just because he had transmigrated, he was superior to these natives and possessed some inexplicable sense of arrogance.

One should act according to their status and strength.

If he were the strongest in the world now, he naturally wouldn't need to consider so much; he could just lie there and wait for others to greet him.

But he wasn't. So, facing stronger people, showing respect and importance to the strong was something that should be done, especially since you might be facing your top boss for a long time in the future?

However, just as he was about to get out of bed, a head popped out from the door crack—it was a blonde kid.

This left Dante a bit bewildered. The two stared at each other from a distance, eyes wide.

Then, the kid, seemingly a bit shy, slowly squeezed in from outside the door.

"You are?" Dante asked, somewhat strangely.

His tone was quite gentle, as he wasn't sure of the kid's identity. What if he was some great noble or the illegitimate child of Sengoku or Zephyr?

The kid looked very shy and didn't speak. Instead, he walked to Dante's bed and, somewhat awkwardly, held out both hands, holding a large, bright red apple.

It seemed he was signaling Dante to take it.

Dante was even more bewildered. What the hell are you doing?

But after thinking for a moment, he still reached out and took the apple, saying softly, "Thank you."

Only then did the kid seem to relax, a smile appearing on his face.

Dante held the apple and looked at the kid. Seeing his expectant face, he finally shook his head helplessly and took a bite.

After all, this was a warship with two Admirals stationed on it; there shouldn't be any danger, right?

As he took that bite of the apple, the kid finally spoke: "Rosinandi..."

"Rosinandi?" Dante repeated, a little slow to react.

"Mm... Rosinandi... My name." The kid nodded, somewhat shyly.

"Ah, I see, I'm Dante..." Dante began to say.

But before he finished, he froze.

Hm?

Rosinandi???

Then aren't you Doflamingo's biological younger brother?

I really have a connection with your Donquixote Family...

At this point, Dante also roughly guessed what was going on.

In his original impression, Rosinandi became Fleet Admiral Sengoku's adopted son when he was very young, then joined the Marine, later becoming a Marineford Colonel, and finally chose to become an undercover agent, returning to the Donquixote Family.

He eventually died on Minion Island...

Died at the hands of his biological brother, Doflamingo.

So, looking at it now, he should have already met Fleet Admiral Sengoku and is likely already Fleet Admiral Sengoku's adopted son; otherwise, there's no reason for him to be on this warship.

Thinking of this, Dante was filled with emotion.

This Rosinandi was simply a huge pit, with a strong pit-teammate aura!

This kid, from a young age, had a saintly aura, so in the end, he pitted everyone he could.

Doflamingo's Ope-Ope no Mi was directly lost because of him, and Fleet Admiral Sengoku's important mission from the World Government was also directly failed by him.

Only Trafalgar Law could be considered the sole beneficiary.

Anyway, when you're teammates with someone like him, you have to be careful. Who knows, one day he might have a sudden burst of kindness and dig a pit for you, and you'll fall in and can't climb out...

Thinking of this, Dante looked at the half-eaten apple in his hand again and couldn't help but sigh.

Your saintly kindness, has it already begun to become uncontrollable from this moment?

Otherwise, why would you give me an apple for no reason?

"Kid... sigh." Dante reached out and ruffled Rosinandi's head, muttering somewhat helplessly.

Was this considered being scammed?

But it was still good, after all, he still had the identity of Fleet Admiral Sengoku's adopted son. At least he was a second-generation official, and from Fleet Admiral Sengoku's later performance, there was no doubt that he valued Rosinandi very much.

After all, he was single his whole life and indeed had no son.

Perhaps he poured all that emotional affection into Rosinandi?

So, considering these aspects, Rosinandi at this stage was still worth befriending.

Being ruffled on the head by Dante, Rosinandi seemed a bit embarrassed, lowering his head slightly shyly, but he didn't dodge.

Just then, the not-fully-closed door opened again, and then Fleet Admiral Sengoku walked in from outside.

He glanced at the scene in the room: Dante held a half-eaten apple, leaned against the bed, and ruffled Rosinandi's head. It was quite a warm scene, actually.

For a moment, it seemed to touch a soft spot in Fleet Admiral Sengoku's heart, making his impression of Dante even better.

"Rosinandi, I was wondering where you ran off to. So you were here?" Fleet Admiral Sengoku said with a smile, his tone very gentle.

Rosinandi seemed a bit embarrassed and quickly lowered his head.

Dante, meanwhile, took the opportunity to try and stand up.

However, Fleet Admiral Sengoku took two steps towards them and placed a hand on Dante, saying, "No need for that, too formal..."

Originally, Fleet Admiral Sengoku just wanted to find Rosinandi and didn't intend to say much to Dante.

After all, Dante wasn't special, and they had nothing much to talk about.

But whether it was the scene he saw upon entering that touched his heart, or some other reason, Fleet Admiral Sengoku inexplicably felt a sense of closeness to Dante.

Sometimes, people are just inexplicably like that.

Therefore, he didn't directly take Rosinandi away. Instead, he sat down naturally by the bed, placed a hand on Rosinandi's head, and said with a smile, "Dante, how are you feeling?"

"Yes, I feel much better. The doctor said I'll be fully recovered in two days," Dante quickly replied.

"That's good. Don't blame Zephyr for being heavy-handed. This was also a test for you. If you weren't tough enough, it would actually be good to stay in North Blue; at least it's much safer here compared to the Grand Line," Fleet Admiral Sengoku said softly.

"Yes, Admiral, I understand!" Dante nodded.

"Mm, it's good that you understand. Zephyr seems to think highly of you. He hopes that you will become the pride of our Marine in the future, his pride..." Fleet Admiral Sengoku said with a smile. After a slight pause, he added, "I also think highly of you..."

Expectation appeared in Dante's eyes as he said, "I won't disappoint either of you!"

"Mm, you rest well. We still have some things to do in North Blue before returning to Marineford," Fleet Admiral Sengoku said as he stood up and admonished.

After speaking, he looked at Rosinandi and said, "Rosinandi, Dante still needs rest and recuperation. Shall we go?"

Rosinandi obediently nodded, reaching out and holding Fleet Admiral Sengoku's hand. They really looked like father and son...

It must be said, Fleet Admiral Sengoku was truly stylish. Whitebeard wasn't as chic as him.

Newgate, at most, adopted the Pirate King's bloodline as a son. But Fleet Admiral Sengoku, he started by being a father to a Celestial Dragon.

Impressive, impressive!

Just as Fleet Admiral Sengoku reached the doorway, he suddenly turned and looked at Dante, saying, "Colonel Dante, you and Rosinandi have a smaller age gap. Whether on this ship or at Marineford, he will be lonely. At that time, please take good care of him."

Dante didn't really want to get too entangled with Rosinandi, but at this moment, he quickly replied, "Yes, Admiral."

Fleet Admiral Sengoku and Shiki!

North Blue, Minion Island.

A massive pirate ship was docked in this port.

And the flag of this pirate ship struck fear into the entire Minion Island!

Sky Pirate Golden Lion!

Minion Island was essentially a den of iniquity in North Blue. It was a no-man's-land, ignored by the Marine, the World Government, and the various nations of North Blue.

As for the reason, perhaps all these factions benefited from it?
