Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

The lady looked at Tsunade, myself, and then the guy inside the minivan who was now looking over the back seat to see the commotion.

"That's alright," the lady answered with a neutral expression.

The guy though, got out of the minivan and looked at her, "Kayden?"

Ohh, you have got to be shitting me, fucking Nazi's. It hasn't even been twenty-four fucking hours yet…

Kayden turned and smiled at the man, "It's alright, they caught the cart before it got too far."

He gave her a nod in reply, "Alright, but let me help you with the rest." He didn't even say anything to us after taking a glance.

Kayden turned and offered her thanks, but I already was hot-footing Tsunade and myself out of there. I didn't speed, because that would be foolish, but I would need to prepare. There was no telling if that bastard wrote down my license plate or not.

Pulling into my driveway, I pressed the garage button and waited for it to open even as I finally made up my mind a blueprint flashing through my mind on how to create a retcon device. I had no plans to abuse it, but if Eidolon gained a few new concussions on his medical records, who knows where those came from? Not like him having brain problems may or may not be able to affect the Endbringer's actions.

Tsunade raised a brow at me while she picked up some of the bags, "Who was that?"

There was no hiding the grimace that flashed across my features, "Kayden Anders is an E88 affiliated super." I answered while bringing the bags into the house. "Not sure who that guy was, but with his reaction, it's pretty clear that he is also affiliated with the same E88."

Tsunade stopped to think about things for a moment while I left to get more bags.

"So, they are going to be a problem then," Tsunade hit me with that as I brought in the rest of the bags while she brought in her own feminine products.

Stopping, I let out a sigh, "Yeah, a major problem, once we finish here I'll start my prep for a home invasion."

Her side of the kitchen went silent as she turned to look at me, disbelief on her face. With a chuckle, I could only shrug because there was no way out of this pickle. Too bad for those nazi assholes though, I was a firm believer in the 2nd amendment, and ROB made sure I had my guns and licenses. With everything put away, I left Tsunade to do her own thing as I went to the garage, grabbed my tools and headed for the basement.

It was time to get to work.

Elbow grease, a rag, and some gunpowder found me looking down at some well-maintained weapons ready for the shit that was going to storm my home sometime soon. Somewhere down the line over the last few hours, I had gotten more than a little carried away. Sitting before me on the bench were a couple of shotguns. One was the super shotgun from Doom, grapple hook included, the second was the bulldog shotgun from Halo and the last was the Legends of Acrius shotgun from Destiny firing all types of spicy sparkly boom booms of death.

Fuck it…

Hunkering down and getting to work, I summoned tools, materials, and other things to my hands as I worked steadily. Proto-adamantium went into the skeleton of the gauntlet's frame, and a vibranium synth weave mesh was created for the padding. For the outer panels, I used a mixed alloy of nth metal and uru to take advantage of the magical properties of the metals. Actuators were dialed in, piston rods were given their connections, and panels were put into place.

Then it was time to incorporate the marble of pure condensed magical energy. Adding the eezo core, biotic mainframe, and the omnitool cyber interfaces was a cakewalk after that. My hand slotted into the gauntlets easily allowing me to do a closer inspection. Once I was happy with things, I then collapsed it into a wristwatch on my right hand and a wrist brace on my left.

I stared at the damn thing, still amazed at being able to create something so powerful just by willing it into existence. The tick of the clock droning in my ear brought me back down to the real world. Slotting that into place, I shifted to worrying about the color scheme I wanted to use; then again, I can't go wrong with black and gold.

Sooo, black and gold it will be…

Body shields were next, then a shield for my home which also included thinker protections, stranger protections, and master protections. Then it was time to build that damn portal gun. Now, that was something I didn't expect to be able to create but when I had thought about it early in the day. The blueprints had come to me, and I just couldnt get it out of my head. That came with chemical concoctions, energy transference, and all-manner of things that went into creating the PCB and portal fluid.

Yet, I was able to complete the damn thing before night had fallen. That was good and all, but I had the more important creation to build which would see me dead and itconfiscated if people ever discovered what it could do.

The ROB was able to retcon me into the world, and the show Rick and Morty had a character called 'Rhett Caan. They were both able to modify reality with just their force of will. Well, I didn't have powers like that, but I damn sure had the ability to build a device to do it for me. The motherboard would need to be carved from a specialized crystal matrix; vibranium worked wonders for me as a superconductor. It also turned out that the portal fluid could also work as a slapdash connection to the local quantum realm giving me a quick ten shots of modifications to the reality's history.

When I was finished, the retcon device looked like an old-school VCR with green glowing lines all across the body. The top of the retcon device even created a shimmer of destabilized reality constantly in flux. I could build a better device later, but for now, I needed to make some quick changes to the Castle Doctrine, the Stand Your Ground laws of Masshituchetts, and make some changes to the 2nd amendment. Very good changes all around, and the way the retcon device went about things was pure genius.
