Cynthia opened her messages and found a group photo. Gengar was floating above a young man's head, probably having floated too fast to brake, so he had to grab the hair on his head to force himself to stop, all while sticking out his tongue. The young man in the photo looked a bit pained, holding an unfamiliar Vulpix in his arms, surrounded by Shauna and the Breeding House's Pokémon.
Lucas: The Breeding House has a new member.
Attached was a picture of Vulpix playing with Shauna and the others.
Cynthia was standing on Garchomp's back, on her way back to the League from the tournament venue.
She curled the corner of her mouth and then started tapping on the screen.
"Vulpix? After a newborn Vulpix grows up, the tails behind her will slowly separate and gain color, forming six beautiful tails."
Lucas: Yes, I'm already looking forward to seeing her when she grows up. Mime Jr. wasn't born long ago either, if you count it.
Cynthia remembered the Mime Jr. who always offered her sparkling water and ice cream at the right moments.
"They're all very cute."
Lucas: I think so too. When you visit next time, you might see a cute Vulpix. Keep up the good work, Miss Cynthia.
After sending the message, Lucas put his phone in his pocket, no longer disturbing Cynthia, and went to play with Shauna and the others.

Back at the Breeding House, Lucas glanced at the time, tore off the paper strips on his face, and prepared to take Shauna home.
In this card game, Lucas and Gengar had the most paper strips stuck on them, followed by Mime Jr. and Shauna, and finally Petilil and Vulpix, who had none.
Looking at Gengar, whose entire face was covered in paper strips, Lucas couldn't help but burst out laughing, teasing him while pulling out his phone to take a picture.

After some playful antics, and after Gengar personally escorted Shauna home, Lucas returned, took a shower, and brought Vulpix to bed. Tonight, he could finally sleep while hugging a fluffy companion.
Lucas happily hugged Vulpix, burying his face in her creamy white belly and taking a deep sniff.
"Shoo~!"
Lucas contentedly put Vulpix down, and Vulpix shyly burrowed into the covers.
"Kou-jie?! ¬ _ ¬ ｀"
Gengar looked at Lucas with a look of disdain.
"What's wrong with that?"
Lucas smugly made a face at Gengar, then also burrowed under the covers.
"Good night, everyone."
"Kou-jie—"
"La-ji~"
"Ni-ni~"
"Shoo... shoo..."
After seeing Lucas fall asleep, Gengar floated out from the ceiling, then adjusted the room's lighting to a warm glow, but did not turn off the lights. Petilil in the flowerpot outside the window was sleeping soundly. He then covered Mime Jr., who had kicked off her blanket on the small bed next to him, before floating back to the ceiling.

Petilil opened her eyes, looking at a few blurry figures in the moonlight in the distance.
A crimson gaze lit up from the ceiling, then passed through the wall to Petilil's side, gently patting her small head.
"Kou-jie—"
Then he looked into the distance; Machamp and the others had already rushed over.
Lucas was awakened by the commotion, came to the balcony, comforted Petilil, carried her back into the room, closed the balcony door, and then instructed Petilil to take care of Mime Jr. and Vulpix in the room, while he himself ran downstairs towards the forest area.
Gengar floated behind him.
Arriving at the forest area, he found Machamp and the other two helping Vespiquen drive away these invading Pokémon.
Vespiquen fought against many, constantly dodging attacks and then counterattacking.
Machamp and the others attacked several Teddiursa.
Looking at this group of Beautifly and Mothim, Lucas gritted his teeth.
"You still dare to come and steal my sweet honey? Gengar, go."
Upon hearing this, Gengar immediately rose higher, coming above all the Pokémon. His eyes glowed, and then all the Pokémon fell to the ground, flapping their wings, wanting to fly but unable to.
"Kou-jie!"

Gengar used Double Team to create many Gengar, each holding a Shadow Ball.
Noticing a familiar yellow Pokémon still on the ground, Lucas quickly called out to stop Gengar.
"Gengar, wait a moment, Vespiquen is also in there."
Gengar quickly dispelled the gravity, and then all the Pokémon regained their ability to fly.
Vespiquen slowly flew up from the ground, her crimson eyes fixed on Gengar and Lucas. Considering they had come to help her, she patted her body, then came to Lucas's side, facing the Beautifly, Mothim, and Teddiursa.
The Beautifly and the others also did not leave.
"Everyone, don't you know this is my territory? Leave now and everything will be fine, otherwise, Gengar, Machamp, Machop, Machoke."

Vespiquen stared intently at him, then let out a cry and flew towards the depths of the forest area. She soon returned with a jar of sweet honey, handed it to Gengar, and then sped away.

Next time, remember to come find us if you need anything.
Seeing this, Lucas couldn't help but slap his forehead.

Gengar glanced at him.
"You did a great job."
"Kou-jie—"

"Bee!"
A crimson gaze lit up in the depths of the forest area.

Then he hurried away.
After Gengar put away the sweet honey, Lucas patted Machamp and the others on the shoulders.
"Good job, I'll get you extra drumsticks tomorrow."

Returning to the room, he signaled to Petilil and the others that everything was fine, then carried Petilil to the balcony, placed her in the flowerpot, and after saying goodnight again in the room.
He fell into a dream.
