"Can she find me?"
Kasumigaoka Utaha raised an eyebrow. "What era are you living in?"
"The world is full of surveillance cameras. Do you think she can find you?"
As she spoke, Utaha pointed to a picture in her class group chat.
"Look for yourself. Isn't that your back?"
"Let her check!" Kawashima Toya reacted calmly. "If she can find me, I lose."
"Just pretend you don't care."
"If you get found, that will be true social death."
Utaha turned her head away and continued writing her light novel.
Toya leaned back lazily on the sofa, inhaling the faint fragrance in the air. "It's fine. She won't find me."
Even if she did find him, so what? The System Shop connected to the Root of infinite worlds.
Physical memory erasure methods, memory erasure magecraft...
There were countless abilities available, and they were unimaginably cheap.
Especially a baseball bat named the "Memory Erasure Bat," which cost only ten Source Points.
One hit with the bat could erase all the memories that needed erasing.
The price was so cheap; the only downside was that it hurt a little.
"That reminds me, I really should exchange for one."
"Better safe than sorry."
Toya immediately spent ten Source Points to exchange for the Memory Erasure Bat.
While playing with the newly acquired bat, Toya pondered.
"A transmigrator always staying at home... wouldn't I miss out on a lot?"
"I should find something to do."
Out of boredom, Toya began browsing the System Shop.
Soon, he discovered that the System Shop didn't just sell world-destroying items and abilities; it also sold various types of shops.
"I can't always stay at Kasumigaoka Utaha's house."
"I choose you. I'll open a detective agency."
"Specifically accepting various commissions."
Toya nodded with satisfaction. "After all, the system can only sense the aura of Evil Gods. It has no effect on ghosts and the like."
"I can take some commissions in my free time to earn extra money."
His health was excellent, and so was his stomach; he wasn't really suited for living off a woman like Utaha.
That was just one of the reasons. The main reason was the appearance of the dragon and the angel.
If Gabriel could appear in this world, then demons could appear too.
With a series of chain reactions, all kinds of monsters and ghosts might take the stage.
The role of a detective agency would then become apparent.
The world needed a detective agency capable of cleaning up the filth.
[System Notice: Deducted 100 Source Points. Exchanged for one Detective Agency. It has been placed at the location selected by the Host.]
[System Notice: Please name the Detective Agency.]
"Let's just call it the Trash Fox Detective Agency," Toya said. He had no talent for naming things, so he simply used his online gaming handle.
----
The Next Morning.
After a quiet night, Toya opened his eyes early the next morning, staring at the ceiling. "Unfamiliar ceiling."
"No sweet little sister calling me 'Onii-chan'."
"Well, I'm terribly sorry about that."
Beside the window, Utaha, who was about to open the curtains, sneered. "It seems I'll have to call you 'Onii-chan' from now on."
Ignoring Utaha's sarcasm, Toya sat up slowly. "I have work to finish today. I can't sleep in."
With that, he started changing his clothes right in front of Utaha.
Utaha's beautiful face flushed slightly, but she put on a facade of calmness as she observed Toya's body.
This figure...
Incredible. It's exactly like the descriptions in light novels, maybe even more perfect!
The longer she looked, the redder her face became.
Afraid she would reveal a lovesick expression, she could only flee the room in a panic, not daring to look any longer.
Toya watched Utaha's fleeing figure with a smile. "And here I thought you really weren't shy at all."
Not long after, Toya finished dressing, took the Demon Sword Murasame, and said goodbye to Utaha.
Today, he was going to check out the detective agency he had spent one hundred Source Points to exchange for.
A short while later, following the system map's guidance, Toya arrived at the Trash Fox Detective Agency.
It was located in a quiet alley. The building had three floors in total, all belonging to Toya. It could serve as both an office and a residence.
Standing outside the main entrance, Toya was quite satisfied. "It's livable too. Very suitable."
Hanging a sign outside the door, he wrote down the type of work he accepted.
[Accepting All Paranormal Commissions. Price Negotiable.]
With a few strokes, Toya wrote out the scope of the Trash Fox Detective Agency's business.
He didn't plan to accept commissions for finding cats or dogs; he was only prepared to take on supernatural cases.
Toya looked at the Demon Sword Murasame in his hand and placed it in the most conspicuous spot in the first-floor lobby.
He believed that anyone with a discerning eye would immediately see that Murasame was extraordinary.
After doing all this, Toya sat calmly in the high-end boss's chair and started playing games.
The agency had just opened, so he didn't expect any customers to come knocking just yet.
