Chapter 64 - The Trio of Evil Spirits

In the town, almost every household had the evil aura of spirits wandering about, though it wasn't severe.

These evil spirits were far stronger than those in Tokyo; they could actually affect reality very slightly.

For example, slowing down alarm clocks or knocking over cups full of water.

However, there was one purely wooden house near the edge of the town where the dark aura of evil spirits was extremely dense.

The entire house seemed covered in gloomy aura, turning it into an ominous place.

"Found it!" Toya smiled.

He had thought it would be troublesome to find the address of the forum poster, but now it was clear at a glance.

Not long after, Toya arrived outside the courtyard of that house.

Just as he approached, a chill ran down his spine.

"You underestimate me too much."

Toya laughed dumbly.

This level of coldness was far inferior to an air conditioner.

Toya looked toward the second floor of the house.

In his sight, a white-haired evil spirit, shrouded in dense death energy with entirely white eyes, was standing by the window, staring at him with a cruel gaze.

Beside this little ghost, there were two middle-aged evil spirits.

It looked like a family of evil spirits.

"They look familiar. Why does that kid look like Haruka?"

"Forget it. I'll deal with the evil spirits first."

"Wouldn't it be better to just stay dead?"

"You're forcing me to do it myself."

Toya barged straight into the courtyard, forcing his way into the old-fashioned two-story house.

Entering the house, he saw an entryway that felt vaguely familiar.

Four pairs of shoes were placed in the entryway: two pairs for adults and two for children.

The children were a boy and a girl, proving that a little girl had survived.

Toya stroked his chin, looking at the decorations in the house, finding them increasingly familiar.

"Familiar, but I can't recall."

Suddenly, a pale, hideous hand reached out from the wall, grabbing straight for Toya's neck as he was thinking.

"Old trick. Useful against ordinary people, useless against me!" Toya sneered and grabbed the ghost hand reaching out from the wall.

Pulling hard, he yanked an evil spirit out instantly.

This evil spirit was the white-haired boy from the second floor earlier.

"Rest in peace properly!" Toya's clear, azure eyes scanned the boy ghost, his body surging with terrifyingly powerful vitality.

Under this robust and surging masculine vitality, the evil spirit melted rapidly like snow meeting the hottest, brightest sun.

The evil spirit let out a miserable, inhuman shriek as its body, composed of evil aura, melted away in intense pain.

The other two evil spirits immediately rushed out from the wall, their pitch-black, sharp ghost claws stabbing straight toward Toya's eyes.

If it were an ordinary person, they would definitely have been blinded.

"Ridiculous." Toya didn't dodge or evade. He stopped suppressing himself, and his vitality surged like a roaring flame.

The three evil spirits didn't even have a chance to react before being thoroughly ignited by his vitality.

When the three evil spirits were annihilated, most of the evil aura in the house dissipated, returning to normal standards.

The remaining aura would clear up in two or three days.

Toya looked indifferently at the three piles of ash left on the ground by the annihilated spirits and shook his head. "You are worse than those ordinary evil spirits."

Ordinary evil spirits would instinctively avoid powerful people out of fear.

These three not only didn't avoid him but dared to initiate an attack. They truly sought death.

After training with Shishou Scáthach, besides mastering various techniques and magecraft...

His greatest improvement was his body, which was now as tough as steel.

He was still human.

But his strength had long surpassed the scope of ordinary humans.

As he became stronger, the vitality in his body also increased explosively. Like in horror movies, a single drop of his blood could make evil spirits vanish into smoke.

"I hope this poor little girl is still alive." Toya searched from the first floor and finally found the little girl in a room on the second floor.

"Wait... is that Sora?!"

Lying on the tatami in the closet was a white-haired little girl.

The girl had smooth white hair and a youthful, exquisite face.

However, her condition wasn't good; her face was pale and weak.

Being entangled by evil spirits for this period had made her very frail.

If he hadn't arrived in time, she might have died within two days.

Although she was still small, Toya recognized her instantly. Wasn't this Kasugano Sora, the most perfect sister in the fantasies of countless otaku, including himself?

"No wonder it felt familiar."

"Okukozome—isn't that the town from the original work?"

"That white-haired boy ghost—wasn't that the deceased Kasugano Haruka?"

He hadn't watched that classic anime for a long time, but seeing Kasugano Sora now brought it all back to his mind.

"Did I just pick up a Sora?"

Toya gently picked up the sleeping Kasugano Sora and carried her to the courtyard to bask in the sun.
