Emily and the Mask Man dragged Anthony's unconscious body toward the cars.
They shoved him into the driver's seat and fastened the seat belt tight—like he was cargo, not a person.
Cold water splashed across his face.
Anthony gasped and jerked awake.
The first thing he saw was the barrel of a gun inches from his forehead—Emily's hand steady, emotionless.
The Mask Man stood beside her, a knife glinting under the streetlight.
Anthony understood instantly.
There was no escape.
He swallowed hard and looked at Emily.
"Why…?" his voice cracked. "Why did you betray me?"
Emily let out a cold, humorless laugh.
"I betrayed you?" she said "You betrayed me. You betrayed everyone—with your lies."
Anthony in rage,"What lie?"
Her eyes narrowed.
"Nora."
Anthony exhaled sharply.
"Ahh… Nora."
Emily's lips curled into a strange, unsettling smile—half suspicion, half satisfaction.
"Do you really think Aaron's death was a coincidence?" she asked.
Something inside Anthony snapped.
Rage and disappointment burned through him.
"You killed him," Anthony spat. "That bastard told you everything."
Emily tilted her head, mocking.
"Yes, Chief."
Silence followed.
But the real truth,
Still remained hidden.
And the mystery was far from over.
