Without a second thought, Rex casually blew off the rest of his morning lectures, abandoning the academy's grand halls and retreating straight back to the relative safety of the A-Class dormitories.
When he pushed the door open, he found Rin Vance sitting silently on the opposite side of the bunk bed, completely engrossed in her glowing phone screen as if the rest of the physical universe didn't exist.
Rex let out a heavy sigh, turned on his heel, and walked out into the shared living room to collapse onto the massive, overstuffed couch that dominated the space.
"Alright, alright. Let's see what kind of cryptic bullshit this hint is trying to feed me," he muttered to himself, rubbing his temples.
He mentally commanded the interface to open, and a translucent, glowing window materialized smoothly in the air right above his chest, casting a soft blue light over the ceiling.
