Chapter 84 - Chapter 84: The Incredible Hulk

"???"

Tony stared at the empty doorway, completely baffled.

Levi hadn't even turned around. He just waved lazily as he walked out.

"Exactly what I said," Levi had replied lightly. "A big green guy with anger issues. And a bigger red one with even worse anger issues—and bones sticking out. They're redecorating New York."

Then he was gone.

Tony looked down at the brand-new triangular arc reactor in his hand, then back at the door.

Green?

A flicker of memory surfaced—military briefings. A scientist. Gamma radiation. A failed experiment.

"JARVIS."

"At your service, sir."

"Get me Colonel Rhodes on encrypted line. And push Mark IV assembly to maximum priority."

His eyes burned with competitive fire.

"If there's a monster fight in New York, I'm not missing it."

---

Harlem, New York

It wasn't a neighborhood anymore.

It was a war zone.

Smoke. Dust. The metallic scent of blood. Sirens screaming in the distance.

Two giants tore through the streets.

One was emerald green—each leap cracking asphalt, each punch shattering concrete. Cars crumpled like soda cans in his grip.

The Hulk.

Opposite him stood something worse.

Red skin like granite. Jagged bone spurs erupting from his spine and elbows. A monstrous parody of a soldier.

Abomination.

"ROAR—!"

Abomination ripped a bus from the street and hurled it like a missile. Hulk caught it midair, boots sinking into fractured pavement.

Gunships circled above, miniguns spitting fire. Bullets sparked harmlessly against their hides.

"Target unaffected!"

"Keep firing!" General Ross barked over comms.

He barely spared Abomination a glance.

In his eyes, Hulk was the objective.

Then—

"What the hell is that?!"

One pilot's voice broke into panic.

A man stood outside the helicopter.

Not falling.

Not attached.

Just standing in midair.

Suit immaculate. Hair unmoved by wind.

Levi.

He glanced at the battlefield below. Then at the helicopter.

"Noisy."

He raised a finger.

Space twisted.

The spinning rotor froze mid-rotation.

The helicopter dropped like a stone.

Screams filled the cockpit.

Levi snapped his fingers.

The aircraft slowed gently before impact and settled softly onto the street.

Then he vanished.

---

He reappeared between Hulk and Abomination.

Twenty meters from both.

"Gentlemen," Levi said pleasantly. "Mind if I interrupt?"

Hulk blinked.

Abomination sneered.

"Another insect."

He swung.

A punch capable of leveling buildings.

Levi didn't move.

A translucent ripple shimmered above him.

Spatial Curvature Barrier.

Abomination's fist sank into invisible resistance. The force folded—twisted—dissipated.

His grin faltered.

"Decent strength," Levi remarked casually.

His hand flashed with dual-star energy—

A concussive blast detonated.

Abomination hurtled backward through a building.

Levi instantly teleported beside Hulk.

Up close, he felt it—

Gamma energy.

Rage like a nuclear reactor without containment.

Perfect.

"System. Lock target. Prepare copy."

---

Target: Hulk (Bruce Banner)

Available Abilities:

1. S-Class · Infinite Rage – Converts anger into limitless physical strength. No upper threshold.

Note: System optimization allows host to retain full rational control.

2. A-Class · Gamma Physiology

3. B-Class · Super Leap

---

Levi didn't hesitate.

"Copy S-Class."

Hulk growled uneasily.

Before anything else could happen, Abomination rose again—wounds regenerating.

"Worm—I'll kill you!"

He grabbed the wreckage of a helicopter and hurled it—not at Levi.

At Hulk.

Using Hulk as a shield.

Clever.

The flaming wreckage screamed through the air.

Levi sighed.

He vanished—

Reappeared beside Hulk—

Placed a hand on the spinning debris.

"Spatial Exile."

The helicopter vanished into subspace.

At the same moment, his other hand tapped Hulk's shoulder.

[Contact established. Copying: Infinite Rage…]

[Success. Integrating…]

Something changed.

Levi felt it instantly.

Every suppressed irritation. Every ember of anger. Amplified—

Then compressed.

Refined.

Weaponized.

Pure, obedient power.

He clenched his fist.

"Beautiful."

He turned toward the charging Abomination.

"Warm-up's over."

Levi crouched.

The asphalt spider-webbed beneath his feet.

No space powers.

Just—

Infinite Rage.

He punched.

The air detonated.

A white shockwave exploded outward, carving a trench through the street. Windows shattered for blocks.

Abomination took it full force.

His bone armor splintered like glass.

His body rocketed hundreds of meters away—

And did not rise again.

Silence.

Hulk stared.

Then… slowly… took two uncertain steps backward.

Even he felt it.

Ross, watching through binoculars, dropped his cigar.

One punch.

"Done," Levi said lightly, shaking his hand.

Hulk's rage began to fade. Green skin dimming. Frame shrinking.

Bruce Banner collapsed, unconscious.

Levi removed his jacket, preparing to cover him—

Engines roared.

Military Humvees encircled the area.

Weapons trained on Banner.

"Secure the target!" Ross shouted. "Alive!"

Levi stepped between them.

"General Ross," he said calmly. "I suggest lowering the guns."

"This is a military operation!" Ross snapped. "Stand down!"

"I'm the man who just removed the problem your tanks couldn't," Levi replied. "Put them down. Leave. Now."

Ross drew his sidearm.

Levi's eyes cooled.

"You can try. But before you pull that trigger, every weapon here will be scrap metal."

Tension spiked—

Then black SUVs screeched in.

Phil Coulson stepped out, smile polite as ever.

"General Ross. By order of S.H.I.E.L.D., this site is now under our jurisdiction. Including Dr. Banner."

Ross's face darkened.

"This is my mission!"

"Was," Coulson corrected gently.

Levi leaned toward him. "Tell Fury he owes me one. Banner needs quiet—not a cage. If the general bothers him again, I'll schedule tea."

Coulson nodded stiffly.

Agents secured Banner carefully.

Betty Ross rushed forward, eyes wet with relief.

As the convoy departed and Ross fumed in humiliation, Levi stretched beneath the New York night sky.

Nice breeze.

He dialed Tony.

"Hey, Tony. Ever seen someone use a helicopter as a baseball? When's your new toy ready to fly?"
